Plus, the reason I'm watching the Anime is that apparently, from everything I've been told, Madhouse chose to end the present Anime at a point that most agree is a good endpoint that wraps up everything up to that point fairly decently.
So if Togashi were to never ever continue the manga and therefore Madhouse were to never pick it up and make more Anime, this would feel like a complete series.
I don't know how correct that is, but that was enough to get me on board. If I can have a satisfying-ish conclusion to the current Anime, that'll lessen the need for more so Togashi can pump some more out again.
It's an open ending that resolves some main plot points, not everything but enough to be acceptable as an ending.
