Why a movie and not a tv series
Because God forbid we have downtime to process the events in this series.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

My Hero is on break this week. Hori got sick, but it was too late to change the table of contents. It will be in the Dec 26th issue.
Both Hori and Nakaba are taking a few unannounced breaks recently...

This is true even for the manga lol.
Popularity Poll Results are out:
Kaminari, Sero, Movie Boy, Shindo...... I don't understand how these characters have a fanbase.
I have no idea how Iida & Kaminari are so high. Or Mirko so low.
@desa this fandom is run yaoi shippers. Like seriously. And Miruko is too high for the killer of Mocha and Johnny-chan.
Looks pretty reasonable to me. The Kids with good storylines and their biggest mentor adults most frequently around at the top and only start getting to the extras around for fan service in the 20s. Then a few of the big popular villains thrown in too and call it good. A lot more sensible than the one piece ones that let Strawhats fall behind in favor of fan service Hancock or "barely done anything" cool guys like Marco and Shanks.
Tokoyami and Froppy a bit low for my tastes, but meh. All Might's getting a bit low too, but I guess he doesn't do as much anymore.
Short chapter but understandable given I heard Horikoshi's ill. That said, things are just puffing along. I'm still shocked how little these chapters are affecting me given it's the final arc.
Endeavour is still the most compelling character in the series.
I'd say that's Twice.
Bunny Girl Deku.
Now we just need to make the Love Me Tender doujinshi series by Chikaya canon so that Deku can be Shouto's girlfriend.

Mineta already called dibs.
I wanted them back, but not like this...not like this.
I don't see what the issue is? I think it's a pretty good use of her tool set.
Welcome back, La Brava! Hope this means Gentle and Rappa will back up the heroes too. Would mind seeing Stain show up also.
Stain's the big one I'm waiting on. It feels like he should've done something in the Dark Deku arc and then just didn't. Given both Spinner and Toga joined originally because of Stain, he should be involved in some way for one of them.
My issue is that I wanted Gentle/La Brava combo to be brought back as heroes in a more flamboyant way, more like them.
This cameo is basically, 'member she's good at hacking? Let's use it against the villain techbro hacker.
I'd love to see Rappa and Fat Gum fighting Kunieda (that Tartarus escapee).

I always figured La Brava would be the one to out hack Skeptic since they're the only hackers in the series. Plus, La Brava has to do something to help Gentle. Rather it be this than just being Gentle's super battery.
I'm not saying she shouldn't be doing this. She being the tech ace of the team was a given. I just wanted them to br employed in the period we skip over to follow edgy Deku, with Gentle on rescue and La Brava giving support or controlling robots.
I'm like 90% sure that the La Brava won't be able to stop Skeptic in time and the school will fall, but Gentle will show up to bounce it back.
Gotta say
Gentle competence

the chapter looked GOOD! I liked how it was left to the reader to get the emotional bit about Nagant without parading it. Nice.
I'm shocked Gentle stopped the prisoners by himself. Was sure Rappa helped. And then he bounced U.A.... Just how powerful is he?
Yep, fully called it. Nagant showing up surprised me though. I get the feeling this chapter will be a big one for thematics once the series is done.

Gentle's getting boosted by La Brava's Quirk too.

Gentle is pulling the weight Koichi could do if only he appeared.
@pariston_hill
When U.A. was falling, for a second, I thought Captain Celebrity was going to save it. Honestly, there isn't many characters in the series that could stop U.A. from crashing.

So, La Brava's quirk isn't limited by distance? Wow! That's powerful.
A character I missed. Glad to see he wasn't a one-arc character.
100/10 chapter because of Gentle.
Can't believe I actually enjoyed an Academia chapter in a looong time.
Deku vs Gentle, along with Gentle's whole backstory was one of my favourite parts of the series.
Every other antagonist that comes after is just a fucking blur that I'm certain whoever is convinced their motivations make sense and is not teenage angst + edge is pulling it out of their ass.

Why would Rappa help the heroes?
Rappa is just a slightly less murdery version of Muscular.
He is a battle lusted guy who Overhaul was barely able to keep under control.
If anything, I just want him to fight and lose to Kirishima to show how much Kirishima has grown strong(sort of like the Muscular and Deku rematch).
Gentle was also really cool this chapter.
Gentle works for me as a character simply because he actually legitimately feels like somebody the hero system failed because his Quirk and skill set didn't match their expectations of what a hero should be.

In My Hero Vigilantes, we see Rappa helping out a hero. Yeah, he was doing it for his own reasons, but he's capable of riding the anti-hero line if he wants too. That, and I don't think he's has any interest in watching the world burn.
Imagine thinking Rappa would miss the chance to fight other inmates.

I mean, what the villains want is a world of constant chaos where violence and the ability to enact violence are key.(at least thats what the MLA and PLF wanted).
I think Rappa would definitely want a rematch with Kirishima anyway.

Yeah, but he'd also want a rematch with Kirishima, someone he actually views as a worthy opponent.
I'm glad Shigaraki's fully back. AFO taking control was interesting but Shiggy needs to be the final antagonist.
A wonderful bit of Shiggy giving AFO a big "Fuck You".
Good chapter.
I wonder how the hell Deku is going to try and talk down Shiggy.
Deku promises Shiggy real change. Gives up the hero life and becomes a politician.
@Nectar said in My Hero Academia II - A true Hero:

Deku:" I'll make quirk singularity great again and with that and O MY SEVEN QUIRKS I'll go back in time and make sure you're never born (whispers in that house).
Shigi:"Bro...that sounds great! Wait what was the thing you whispered again?"
Deku:"Oh, nothing. "
There's a full colour digital release of My Hero Academia coming soon! Volumes 1 to 12 drop March 3!
Taking so much inspiration from the coloured world of American superhero comics, I'm really excited to see how Hori's art translates to the new format.

Depends if they gonna use the style to emulate Copics like OP version, or gonna do like other...non great Shueisha colour versions.
@pariston_hill Yeah fingers crossed it's the high-effort option. I feel like Hero Aca's a big enough seller to be worth the investment, and they've held off on it for so long despite it being an obvious choice for the colouring treatment.
That stache is awful.
And it now exists in Bakugou's heart.
Ah, so his mask was a mercy on us all.
Leakers apparently confirming a sudden two-week break.
