Why does it smell like a timeskip is coming?

! After seeing the doctor talk, I don´t think he will Shiggy new quirks, but will instead modify his body to be able to use his quirk without getting hurt by it (like he did when he did the big scale attack against Re-Destro) So Doc will most likely give him the same treatment a Nomu would get, but in a more refined way.
! The whole thing about the hardware not being able to keep up with the software was interesting for me, wondering if the problem will be resolved this generation or Hori will never tell us if they find a way to avoid it. -

More like give him some OP quirk that gives regenerative powers, among other things. Don't really remember in detail, but didn't AFO mention regretting he didn't manage to obtain a regen quirk before getting messed up like that, or something along the line?
-
For months of operations to self-identify as Mothra, I'm not one to kink shame, but damn Shiggy thats weird.

Ooo. Okay possible traitor theory.
! Those panels of interns. Edge is holding a book…He's also got Kaminari in his party.
! I don't think they'll do a time skip here. They're only first years. Hopefully this is just interns arc part 2. -
not sure this chapter was earned, but it was cool to see all the cast members doing their own thing
-
I thought Ashido and Aoyama were giving the thumbs up, but it was actually Hagakure, lol.
-
! I can't wait for the official translation. That memory talk was interesting. And, now we know AFO had some sort of trouble keeping up or using so many quirks. Shigaraki learning about OFA, and most likely Deku's connection to it was a long time coming. I wonder if Shiggy will be gunning for Deku's quirk now. It'd make him completely unstoppable.
! ReDestro got his cyborg legs, nice. I really liked that the intern spreads at the end included kids from Class B and other schools. And, Eri's horn looks to be back at 100%. I hope we get focus on that soon. Why does it smell like a timeskip is coming?
That's what I'm thinking too.
! We may catch the tail end of the internship then jump into something else like Eri's horn or the end of Deku's First Year.
I thought Ashido and Aoyama were giving the thumbs up, but it was actually Hagakure, lol.
Nice catch!
-
! Shigaraki wins, heroes go underground, timeskip to when they're strong enough to fight back against the evil that is Shigaraki.
-
Also nice chapter of vigilantes.
! Finally time for Aizawa to find his mojo.
-
I understand what Dr. Ujiko's saying a lot more reading the official translation. I can see why All For One was interested in it. Hori's definitely seeds of what's to come. Not only with Shigaraki possibly wanting One For All, but with all the Quirk Singularity talk and later showing Eri's horn at normal size. Eri's role in the story keeps getting bigger and bigger.

! What the heck is Prince's quirk?! I need to know.
Anyway, I got no idea how Aizawa is beating that guy. He seems out his paygrade. -
Comicman interning with Wash might be the strongest combination this series has ever seen

Anime's back! With…a recap episode, of course.
Pretty predictable and completely disregards all the actions of the reporter that come off like a total prick. But hey, new OP and ED are both good!
-
Well that episode was a giant waste of time, but at least it's back.

1st episode of the new season usually is just a recap with minor plot.
-
How likely is it that there are several traitors amongst the students in the classes? There are quite a few bland character in both class A and B right now, so I've been wondering if a "mass" betrayal and consequent trimming of "redshirts" would be a good idea if the goal is to consolidate the students cast as well as unifying the interesting characters of both classes. Would also be a good opportunity to give some of the unremarkable characters additional depth by having them work for the LoV.

I think it's possible. There's the original LoV traitor. Kaminari could be part of the Meta Liberation Army but maybe he's not necessarily bad (depends on the circumstances). Horikoshi's really bringing home there's a number of heroes part of the PLF. He's pretty much setting up his version of Captain America Civil War.
I did notice a lot of new hero faces in those final pages. I doubt all of them are traitors but I won't be surprised if a few are. In addition to Class B there's students from other schools. I'd love it if Shindo was a traitor or Camie, having her air-head personality be fake. All that said, I don't think that many are traitors. If I had to guess I'd say out of all the named students we've seen, maybe ten at the most are PLF.
-
I could see kids crossing over to Meta Liberators a lot easier if it wasn't lead by such clear cut villains, especially now with League taking over.
Would have been more interesting if Meta Liberators were made more sympathetic. Horikoshi might have been too hasty with this villain union.
-
Even though it was all filler recap, I actually really enjoyed this episode. It was a nice way to package this content, much better than a simple clip show with narration.
-
I thought you guys would like this.
-
^ that’s super dope. Would love to see more content like this.

So besides owning several orphanages and clinics over Japan, Dr. Ujiko also does medical examination in the entering inmates in Tartarus. The Jailbreak writes itself at this point.

Already saw the first 5 min but it's still awesome. The fights, the quirks, everything felt on point.

Wait, what? Was that in the Ultra Analysis book?

Yep, is in there. The inmate mentioned in the case was Muscular, which would help explain the muscles on the shoulders of Hood, the first High-End to have a test field.

W-w-w-w-wha? So, Ujiko basically has the DNA of every Tartarus villain. Damn. The High-Ends just got a hell of a lot more scary.

! Wow Endy acutaly understood Deku's mumble. Oh a nice challenge, beat Endy to the scene.
-
! I'm curious if Shoto gets his lack of observation from his mom. Cause Endeavor is pretty quick to pick up stuff.
! This was a nice little starter chapter for the Winter intern arc. Deku's long ass self analysis. Shoto being upfront about his feelings. Bakugo getting another notch of character development. I'm looking forward to the official release. The translations seem to make him swear in parts where he wasn't too much.
! I really like Burnin. She's pretty fun so far and her design is well done. -
! Every time Deku mentions his second quirk, I die a little bit inside. Lol, I genuinely hate that development.
! I really like that Bakugo threw some shade at it though. Heck yeah you can be Number One with just one quirk.
! I was re-watching My hero, and I realized that other than dealing with Toshinori and his son, endeavor has always been calm, respectful and present when dealing with other people(unlike Bakugo who shits on everyone) -
! ^ Yeah. I remember being very respectful to Gran Torino before the Stain fight.
! Anyway, I'm surprised we didn't get a time skip and we got another shot of Fuyumi. Hm. -

! Anyway, I'm surprised we didn't get a time skip and we got another shot of Fuyumi. Hm.! Well Endeavor is a grown man who has been in the industry for years. He better have some manners. Bakugo has like zero filter and zero chill.
-
! Well Endeavor is a grown man who has been in the industry for years. He better have some manners. Bakugo has like zero filter and zero chill.
! Yeah, and that's one of the biggest things Bakugo needs to learn: being professional.
-
! Best Jeanist tried to teach him that aspect of things, but perhaps it was too early in his development for him to hear that stuff.
! Now that he's been through the villain kidnap, the license exam failure, slightly changed his relationship with Deku, etc,
and he appears to be looking for his own shortcomings right now, perhaps NOW is the time when such advice will sink in.
After all, it was his lack of filter that lost him the license exam and he's very aware of it. -
Shoots, it seems that Ujiko having access to Tartarus is mistranslated. He DID treated Muscular once though.

After all, it was his lack of filter that lost him the license exam and he's very aware of it.! I think the problem with Jeanist. Is that he was trying to force Bakugo into a mold that didn't work for him. A few others have also made the point that his speech is a problem. But they don't really give advice on how he should without changing his personality fully. Endeavour is an asshat like him so maybe he'll be able to give him pointers. But I'm still curious who Aizawa had in mind for teaching him when he mentioned that a few chapters ago.
-
! Should he get pointers from Flamebeard tho? He sucks at PR and human interaction from what we know. Like with the airbender or that kid that mention Flamebeard is supposed to always be an asshole to his fans. He's just supereffective.
! Butr I like that McBoom recognize the need to be a better person in a clear way. -

! Butr I like that McBoom recognize the need to be a better person in a clear way.! Almost implicit in his declaration is that he's interested in observing what Endeavor lacks. He's already in close proximity to All Might but he's more similar in temperament to Endeavor, so being able to observe them both allows him to contrast their styles and figure out what works for him to do/improve.
-
The episode today. I love it when the other teachers are being a peanut gallery lol.
Also they changed Mineta's line lol.
Also also…I don't recall Bubble Girl being blue.

! Butr I like that McBoom recognize the need to be a better person in a clear way.I still haven't seen a situation where FlameBeard has been explicitly bad at human interaction. In fact, he has always been polite and respectful to people, unless its Toshinori or his family.
I still think the Wind dude is a classic case of when a fan meets their idol and expects them to be super nice and accommodating towards them, since he's developed a parasocial relationship with them.
Even Toshinori was kind of a dick towards Deku in the beginning.

I feel like we saw the hero association mention poeple skills is one of the thing he is lacking on, and we saw when talking to All Might he mentioned he was focused on performance while All Might was the people person and he is tring to work on that. And that a lot of his more recent development is trying to be more open and interactive with the public and that's why his fan found him being open to interact with him was out of chracter with the hero he loves.
I really think people interraction not being a strong suit of Endevor and him trying to correct that is a narrative we've been seeing play out.
-

It wasn't the Hero Association specifically. It was a bunch of tv news reports talking about Endeavor's mixed approval ratings compared to All-Might.

I agree that Endevor is very lacking in the ability to put people's heart at ease the way All Might did, and I think its all centered around Toshinori's philosophy of always smiling, while Endevor is more of a as long as the job is done type of guy.
On the other hand, I still disagree that he lacks people skills. Like I said there have been incidents where the author could have portrayed him as rude and abrasive, but instead he chose to show us that Endevor can be polite and respectful, some key ingredients in having great people skills IMO.@Count:

I don't think we have anything pointing to this. Every civilian that talk about him reference his strength and being an imposing figure. Nothing that would point to the skills I'm talking about and even people like his fans that have a more positive image doesn't portray him as such.
It's like I don't know I wouldn't go to Batman for howw to be a more sunny hero. Not because he is an awful hero but because it's not his strong suit.

This is actually a really good point and I now understand where ur coming from.
-
Endeavor has never had any problem being socially functional. You kinda have to be if you want to be professional to begin with.
The issue is that he's intimidating and uncharismatic. Dude literally looks like hell incarnate. It's the third top result of the "Moogle" search in Count Mario's post after all.
He's kinda like Gang Orca, except Gang at least has the Free Willy appeal.
-

I'm glad I missed last week's chapter and got to read it alongside this week's, because this week's was pretty uneventful, if I'm being honest.
