The scales certainly tipped once Gigantomachia appeared, otherwise the MLA gave as good as they got.
My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
-
-
! Ashido and Kaminari constantly trying to force Bakugo into santa clothes is fucking amazing.
Nice joke, Hori. -
! Such early Dragonball vibes I got from last page. Hellish training under Roshi!
! Minor annoyance, but seeing everyone eat with their gloves on, just can't… -
! That was fun, but Eri mixing up holydays is cute until you remember that she most likely didn´t get to celebrate any of them until now. At least she got the coolest gift of the bunch and seems happy about it, I hope we get to see her around with the sword from time to time.
! About Endeavor having the three of them as interns, it´s interesting, mostly because Deku and Bakugou are the only kids that know what Enji did to his family. -
! Glad the teachers realize something's up with the forced internships. It does bring to question how much has Hawks been able to report back to the Public Safety Commission. Seems like they at least know enough that whatever was reported at Deika City is a lie.
! Hm. Brought up the traitor again. It's been awhile. Toshinori totally jinxed it. The Xmas party was nice. I like that most of them had different designs on the ends of their Santa hat. I'm surprised Mirio wasn't there. Has to be more than simply wanting to hangout with his friends.
! I figured the top 3 would intern under a top 10 hero but I'm surprised Deku may intern under Endeavor too. Still holding out Kamui Woods would request him but if got the chance to learn under the number 1 hero you should take it. -
! Eri is so damn cute.
! Mc Boom seems fitting for a fire hero. I mostly worry about All Might's secret getting out if he goes there. -
! Whomever the traitor is the job is being well done. 4 months staying low is nothing to kid. Eri definitely got the best present, also Mineta got an Aoyama photo, and Iida got gold! Who the hell gives gold as a present?! And Ochako and Midoriya definitely known who gave their presents.
-
! I do so love the contrast between the life or death situations the villains are in verses the kids having a fluffy Christmas lol. I think this is the first time I've enjoyed Eri's presence in a chapter. Confusing all the holidays is adorable lol. Aizawa must have been monitoring her but he just let her make Easter eggs lol. Such a softie.
! Interesting proposal by Todoroki. I wonder if Deku and Bakugo would accept. Also damnit I wanna know what name Bakugo picked. Based on Jeanist's comments maybe it won't be Ground Zero. But also hopefully that fully nixes the idea he'd choose Kachan. That theory always bugged me lol. I also wonder if Todoroki picked an actual code name and not just his given name. -
! Eri will use the Buster Sword when she becomes a hero.
-
How weird to have a holidays themed chapter, full spreads included an all, in September. It was a great chapter though, but my overall dislike for Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki will probably make this new arc a pain to go through weekly so maybe it's time to put MHA on hold again.
-
! Hot take: this is what a perfect transition chapter looks like. Reminders of previous subplots, vaguely ominous discussions, heartwarming togetherness moments, and packed to the gills with hilarious tidbits
! Did anyone notice that each Santa hat ends in something that reflects the wearer? Deku's and Bakugo's both reflect their hair, but Ochako has a ringed planet, Momo has a book, Sato has a candy and so on!
! Also, that gift exchange is absolutely hilarious! Mineta gets Aoyama's picture of himself, Eri gets Tokoyami's buster sword, Iida gets Momo's platter of gold bars, and I think Kaminati got his own basketball? Lots of fun to be had.
! Anyways, here's a theory: Bakugo turns down Endeavor to work with Hawks instead. He still wants to forge his own path and Hawks is plenty famous enough to appeal to Bakugo, but it's Hawks' involvement with the heroes and the incident with Best Jeanist that makes this scenario juicy. What happens when Bakugo finds out his current mentor "killed" his last one? Feels like a great chance for Bakugo to declare a proper hero name for Jeanist. -

Also seeing gifts and trying to figure who got who's. I can't figure who would gift a basketball. But it was so ordinary I think it may have been from Ojiro lol. Bakugo wound up with a pair of glasses. I can't decide if that was from Iida or someone hoping he would receive it.
! I kinda hope Bakugo goes with Mirko, similar is agility and personality. I could also see Horikoshi putting Deku with her. As he's at least able to deal with her personality type. She's top 5 but I don't know if Horikoshi would add one of the more popular students to Hawks when Tokoyami is already there. And possibly taking away some stand alone time from him.
! You're right though. This was a good transitioning chapter. It didn't feel too bloated but it also gave inklings to future development. Like what ever the principal was going to talk with Aizawa about. A different program of some sort.
! –--------
! Lol. I don't know how someone would make it through a series if they disliked the main characters and or important side characters. -
! Yeah I doubt Hawks is going to be taking any interns this time. Specially since this is coming from the Public Safety Commission. That'd be an extremely absurd move on their part.
! I wouldn't take Deku and Bakugo with Endeavor for granted just yet either, though. -
! Anybody else notice that Ochako got Deku's present? How cute! (can't tell if Deku got her's, he got some kind of mochi snack) The bars of gold could only come from Momo, but who would give the basketball?
! This was a very nice fluff chapter after all those weeks of dark. -
You know what? Forget the history of One-For-All, or the various backstories of any of these characters–I have questions!
! I want to know who gave out what gift for this Christmas party. Sure, I can guess forever, but I fear I'll never really know! Who'd give out a basketball? Was that dumbbell from Kirashima or Seto? Did someone give out two buster swords, or did Tokoyami give it away to her later? There's so much to unpack here! I am…not completely joking I want to know these things.
! I hope they take up Todoroki on his offer. I can easily see Bakugou saying no, but these two might relate to each other more than they know. Then again, for that reason I could also see it not happening--it's too perfect. So in that sense it's a good cliffhanger. -
! Did someone give out two buster swords, or did Tokoyami give it away to her later?
! Tokoyami can be seen carrying the sword towards the circle, ready to be randomly grabbed by the person who chose the right stretch of tape.
Eri picked the tape connected to the sword, so it's hers. Tokoyami likely brought that in from his established collection of edgy items. -

-
I just noticed someone tied the tape to Bakugou leg so he would pick his present as he walked away.
-
About Denki's basketball, it's actually his. He ended up with his own present.
-
LOL. No wonder he's so sad.
-
The glasses might have been intended for Hagakure. She likes cute things and fashion accessories but, more importantly, they would help the other students know where her face is when they were talking to her.
-
I absolutely love how these last few chapters have pointed out how bad Bakugo is at being a super hero outside of fighting
also I wonder if Endevor will notice the similarity between Deku's power and all might? I mean the others haven't seemed to pick up on it but Endevor has watched All might for a long time and if they become his interns he'll have to work super closely with them, it would make sense for him to notice right?

I think the glasses were most likely from Iida. Because he has so many at hand to give.

I want Endeavor to ask if he's All Might's illegitimate son like Todoroki.

[/hide]He's noticed in a certain way, but it remains to be seen how much similarity he's actually conscious of.
-
This is the first chapter in a long, long time that made me smile.
-
The shonen jump app had a couple pages put of order lol.
I hope Horikoshi adds in a page for the next volume where he tells us what everyone gave and what everyone received.
-
If the Public Safety Commission knows Deika City's report was fake and the Meta Liberation Army from Hawks, they should be trying to find every hero secretly working for the PLF. Probably one more reason they aren't tipping their hand by giving away many details.
-
The new color spread.
! It looks like an album cover. I really want to know what inspired it. It's packed with so much stuff lol.
! Interesting chapter. I almost feel bad for Endeavor dealing with his snarky son and now dealing with Bakugo just being a mini version of himself as well as Deku being a mini All Might. He's in for at least a 3 pronged karma attack.
! I'm glad All Might was at least the one to finally mention the similarities between him and Endeavor. Unfortunately he's probably not thinking that as an insult since he doesn't know how bad Shouto had it.Oh and something finally got confirmed that had been bugging me since the beginning.
! Bakugo's gauntlets are collapsible. I had initially just figured Horikoshi would gloss over how they fit in his case forever. I gotta remember he does minor details pretty well without being overly obvious.
-
! I can't believe I'm saying this but new Endeavor owns.
-
! Anyone else thinks the evil wizard is the most random thing Horikoshi could have pulled at end of a chapter?
-
I love Endeavor. No jokes or anything, he legit became my favorite character.
-
My Hero Vigilantes 61 is out!
I don't think anyone could've guessed Aizawa and Shirakumo interning under…! Prince!
Nice seeing how well the two work together. Aizawa getting the idea using goggles from Shirakumo is a cool bit of trivia. And, I saw what you did Shirakumo.
! -
Apparently Vigilantes 62 is already on Viz.
! Oh man, the hero formally know as Prince is down. Who those goggles belong to?!

The newest Vigilantes chapter's not there anymore. I did find it strange it was coming out today and not Friday. Guess someone made a mistake. Anyway, I liked it.
! Shirakumo making future plans hit me hard. That last page hit even harder. I'm sure Shirakumo survived the attack, but possibly seeing his positive personality sour because of it will be interesting.
-
I like Hawks 16 chars
-
Mysterious and smug Hawks continues to be mysterious and smug. So, nothing new in the west.
-
! I don't even know where to begin on what Beard Guy's quirk is. Anyway, I guess he's part of the Liberation Army, maybe in an unofficial sense. Probably sees the number 1 hero as upholding the wrong kind of society.
! Hawks "highlighted" parts of the book, huh? The guy is sly. Endeavor should pick up on it. My problem is the Public Safety Commission not letting the #1 hero in on what's going on. He's the one hero in Japan who should know what's going on to an extent. -
! Glass Wizard is basically just one of those "The end is nigh!" crazies you see on the street sometimes, right? Horikoshi likes to make offbeat villains out of mundane origins, like that one attempted flasher.
! Anyway, Hawks is simultaneously being too subtle for Endeavor and too obvious to his Liberation tails. -

! Anyway, Hawks is simultaneously being too subtle for Endeavor and too obvious to his Liberation tails. He could be but…
! his quirk seemed too strong for just some crazy guy. His nose bleeding may be hinting he was using Trigger. If so, I wouldn't be surprised if he got it from the PLF. Throwing Triggered fodder at heroes sounds like something they would do.
-
! Yeah it is kinda odd the Hero Association didn't want Endeavor looped in.
! I gotta wonder. Hawks make that comment about feeling sorry then looks at Bakugo. He must know he interned with Best Jeanist…That's pretty messed up lol. -
I just realized that Endeavor's outfit since becoming the No. 1 Pro-Hero (mainly the sharp shoulder pads) reminds me a lot of Azrael's Batman: Knightfall design.
!
! -
! Hawks really did pull a sneaky this time. Good for him. And ain't Machia looking a little too much like Kirishima. Could it really be that Crimson Riot became AFO's bodyguard?
-
It's such a pet peeve of mine when chapter discussion starts without a link.
I'll provide it this time.https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/my-hero-academia/en/0/245/page/1

! Burnin' is awesome, all of Endeavor's sidekicks are awesome, can we remove Shoto from the manga and replace him with Burnin'?
-
Place your bets now on…
! Which of Endeavor's sidekicks are working for the PLF.
! Don't tell me Shigaraki's getting multiple quirks already? Well, in four months. And, I think whatever's gonna happen is going down after Deku finishes Year 1. Hm.–------
EDIT: Looks like fans are translating the ULTRA ANALYSIS character book.Highlights include:
! -Shindou & Tatami are dating.
-Hawks' real name is Takami Keigo.
-Thirteen is female.
-Geten is male.
-Camie’s hero name is Maboromicamie.
-Shishikura is Sisicross.
-Shindou’s is Grand.
-Tatami’s is Turtle Neck. -
! Geten being male is pretty disappointing given Curious' death.
