I don't get the CoO bit. It's not like Luffy can prevent Katakuri from having his CoO… of course he can make the fight last for so long Katakuri will end up depleting it, but it is unlikely Luffy will last that long without having to resort to G4 (and the time he needs to recharge his own Haki after using G4 apparently is bigger than what takes Katakuri to recharge his). If he can do it without G4, though, it is likely that's where the fight is heading.

But if Luffy only takes advantage of his convenient Brûlée-mirror-travel situation right now as a way to abuse hit and run tactics to wear down Katakuri's Haki/stamina and then beats him when he's weakened, that wouldn't make him he him much stronger or teach him anything useful for later, and he knows he's got to take on Kaido once they get to Wano.
No, that's exactly what I was thinking: Deplete his COO through overuse. I hadn't thought of that as a possible fight direction! Luffy does seem to be purposefully staying in base form right now, and being able to see the future would help him survive long enough for Katakuri to drain, so the evidence seems to be supporting your theory.

I could see one more use of gear 4th being enough to end to fight (whether it ends with a full, climactic knockout or Kata's back hitting the ground) given how effective it was before.
…Was it? It didn't seem to accomplish much last time, but I can't see Katakuri tanking a King Kong Gun without some major effects, so maybe you're right.

In all seriousness, we've really got most of the information we need from Pound about the fathers. She uses them up, then abandons them simply.
I'm genuinely impressed that the sheer number of children from Big Mom's family without fathers haven't resulted in a shitload of "X is Y's father! They fucked Big Mom!" theory videos on Youtube.

Luffy said he doesn't want to deplete Katakuri's haki reserves, so Luffy will overcome in some other way.

It was, if Katakuri didn't regain his composure he would have been defeated. The only character that took a hit from gear fourth as it was nothing is Big Mom. Everyone else, if they get hit they get severely damaged.

Pretty cool that spoilers and new chapter are late, let's hope this new schedule continues and hopefully, some day, new scanlations are released only on Mondays alongside the official versions. It seems that last week, WSJ series like Hero Academia and Promised Neverland were released on mangastream only between Sunday and Monday, so we're getting there.

Agreed! Though I HATE the wait, it's only because I know that the scans are usually out by now. But waiting for the official chapter or the scans is the exact same one-week process. If the scans started releasing on Monday, then we'd all just be chomping at the bit til Monday–and more people would be encouraged to just support the official release.
Most importantly, we could read the official on Mondays and not be several days late to the forum and youtube discussions that we like to follow. It's a win for everyone!

There's a post on p.19 that confirms OP is in this Jump issue's leaked table of content, the spoiler thread for 892 has been up since yesterday and there's talk all over the manga board that after repeated actions from the japanese authorities spoiler providers are becoming more cautious (and possibly scanlators as well, it's probably no coincidence if they're now releasing other titles first). Be patient.
