I don't think Sanji would intentionally hurt Pudding if he couldn't even fight Kalfia.
Yeah, that's simply not Sanji.

@Count:
All I know is that Sanji deserves to pay Pudding back in some way for all of those faces she made to mock him when thinking of how he'll react when he sees her third eye. Oda delivering on some form of ironic poetic justice regarding Pudding's expectations of him would be freaking awesome.
Germa don't have a plan or else why didn't Reiju just tell Sanji?
I'm in the failure camp as well, but I wonder if it will go like Operation SOP where even though the original plan falls to shambles, the alliance manages to persevere and finish things well (even though there's no way Big Mom is actually dying)
lol. It would actually be pretty badass if Sanji tried to pull some sort of bigger man route and not let Pudding's bitterness get to him somehow. That would actually be more insulting than just getting angry at her and wanting vengeance because it wouldn't be giving her the reaction of acting hysterically betrayed and hurt that she craves from Sanji.

Now I could definitely see Sanji doing this. And now I want it.
Big mom = Dorian Gray..
It would be very interesting if Pudding in fact tries to shoot Nami. What will Sanji do, if only he can save her?

letting things slide out doesn't make Sanji a 'Smaller man' either. Besides she's not the main target.

Exactly you don't have Sanji loses his beliefs. You don't sink towards the villains level you stay better than them.Especially when this act emphasizes Sanji kindness.Let Sanji be the bigger man to both Pudding and Vinsmokes
Why do I feel like Pudding's going to be the one to mess everything up?
Also, what if Pudding erased Big Mom's memory of caramel?
out of curiosity, how'd he become your favorite?
Well when he first appeared back in Saboady he was honestly my least favorite, or at least tied with Uroge as my least favorite. He just seemed bland and while his ability was cool, it seemed like he was dependent on his crew being the muscle and him just being the castle.
When we saw him on Zou and how he teamed up with Big Mom I was interested, but still saw him as a gangster that was just trying to move up in the ranks and become a known pirate.
But recently seeing both how he seems to genuinely care for his son and wife, but also learning about the dark things he's done as fleshed him out quite a bit in a short amount of time. I've seen some people complaining about how he is being trusted by Big Mom despite only being around for a year with her crew. But to me that really speaks to the things he's had to do to gain that trust. And I'm sure it goes beyond marrying her daughter.
I forget who mentioned it on the One Piece Podcast, but someone recently brought up how he's like the Penguin from Batman. The Penguin is an awesome villain, one of the few completely sane, just a complete doucebag characters. And yet he still has a personality with good and bad traits.
I ultimately see Bege getting some comeuppance at the end of this arc for trying to take down Big Mom. Whether that is him being beat senselessly, his crew being separated from him(leaving a castle with no men), or him being arrested. But it's interesting to see an ambitious, murderous gangster that wants to topple one of the top 4 pirates in the world…..and also baby-speak to his child.
Also, what if Pudding erased Big Mom's memory of caramel?
how does she remembers to safe a seat for her then??

Then why would BM still bring the picture to tea parties.

Guys, I'm telling you. Pudding was disgusted by the fact that she couldn't marry a proper prince. But little does she know that her wish might come true in the form of Mr. Prince. I REALLY want to see what Sanji decides to do once he lifts up Pudding's veil more than ever. Pudding wants to the wedding to go out with a bang, and I have a feeling that Sanji's gonna give that to her in a way she doesn't expect.

I can roll with this. Although it would be weird to see Bege assist the SHs even though he would obviously leave 'em for dead. Or maybe it would be the other way around.

We know he wouldn't fight Khalifa when Robin's life was at stake tho.

I do wonder if Pudding replaced Big Mom's memory of someone extremely important to her with a portrait of some random person. Given how attached Big Mom is to her sweets and cute things, if there is actually a person out there she truly cares about, she's gonna really throw a fit if she believes they're in danger. Replacing that person with a fragile portrait is the perfect crime.

Best case, kick the gun out of Pudding's hand. Worst case, take the bullet for Nami.

Well Nami life was also at risk.
I think Greg made a made a giant post before about how in Japan (specifically women) love Sanji chivalry, so I don't see Oda abandoning it.
Well for now, we know the plan will fail miserably, and as Capone said it, they have 0 chance of winning, so while the BM pirates control the fight, Pudding will approach the Tamatemako, open it and defeat herself, revealing all the memory-modification she ever done.
I wonder if and how Brûlée and Diesel will also mess up the plan. They've been kept around to hear all of the plans Oda keeps emphasizing how they want to warn Linlin.

Pekoms too, everyone gonna come and ruin this wedding.
The only one not coming is the kitchen sink.

Matter if they get away, won't Ceaser be watching them or something?
That also brings up Pekoms.

Even everyone's favorite Mad Monk and totally-not-related-to-Big-Mom Jewelry Bonney?

The fact that Gas Boy is watching them makes me even more concerned.
soo besides;
total new character
Pudding's Cafe in Cocoa Island
Bonney
Trans-Crocodile
Kureha
Dadan
Anyone has more options for Mother Caramel??
Very good Chapter
Now that they gave put the pan we know ot wont work but the suspense for me is wondering when it'll fall apart and when it all hits the fan, What the hell is pudding up to with talking about memory manipulation again, and yonji is vinsmoke version of zoro confirmed
Well well, look who is back~
A mice in Cheese Town. I guess Oda loves Tom & Jerry soooo much, huh?
Nice tattoo with number 1 you got there, Ichiji.

I've seen some people say Shakky.

They didn't get an invite.
Anybody else expects this plan to succeed?
@Count:
Then why did you lie to me about everyone coming?
Not at the wedding, they be at the reception busting tables.
That was my first thought, sitting my "Bonney is related to Big Mom" camp. Doesn't quite fit, though.
Why it doesnt fit in your opinion Razh?
Oh and does anyone else think that Luffy will simply jump out of the cake?
Tamembako explosion, then destruction of cake, then tearing Carmels picture and then lets all imagine Big Moms face…
Carrot staring at Bege, very suspicious. Thought so too.
Anyway, after Pudding and Sanji are pronounced husband and wife by Trans-Crocodile, Sanji lifts her veil and is stunned by her beauty. Then she's stunned that he isn't disgusted, so doesn't shoot him. Or maybe she does. In any case, won't they still be, you know, married? Won't that be weird?
As this plan is clearly not going to work, I look forward to the fallout.

Seems like too big of a stretch. Someone touches Bonney's picture and BM goes into a fit, screams, becomes vulnerable and activates Conqueror Haki? What kind of relationship between them would garner such a reaction?
Maybe they are lesbians. They broke apart because BM likes sweets and Bonney likes salty food. Honestly, that was never going to work.

Well who knows how old Bonney is.. there is plenty of time for some twisted story to happen in past. She could have been somebody who raised Big Mom. Though I must say that for what we have seen holding grudge is far easier for Big Mom than to love.
I cannot wait for some action at end of this arc.
What would be MOST interesting for me is how Vinsmokes will not understand situation and most likely go against Sanji saving them. They(especially Judge) are hellbent on that marriage happening so they will see Sanjis actions as form of a trick most likely.
Man, I didn't realise how much I missed Caesar.
That face he made while talking about his poisonous rocket launcher was outstanding.
Bege talking all cute to his kid just made me vaguely uncomfortable…
Enjoyable chapter.
I'm hoping that Oda would explore more of Chiffon's feelings about her mum. Linlin being such an abusive mum to her that she no longer feels any empathy to her that she had no qualms of having her husband plot Big Mum's death would make for some interesting interactions between the 2 of them.
The major highlight of this chapter for me was Bege coldly plotting the murder of one of the strongest pirates in the world the 1st second and making cute baby faces and noises to his newborn child the next. I know that the Strawhats are fundamentally good people but not saints…. but seeing them about to participate and following through a murder scheme that intently... gives me a weird feeling.... That said, I can't wait to see Luffy and Gangster Gastino ruin everything.
decent option too. if not even BM's oldest sons/daughters know about her, it must be someone reaaally old.
There is no guarantee that she is someone old when someone is around that can alter memories. Especially when said character end the chapter complaining about it being a pain having to rewrite a lot of people memories at the party.

Cesar faces are over the top in good way. I loved panel that you mentioned.. guys insane!
I wonder how it will work when he will join Germa 66 after this arc ;)
One thing I am curious about now though is what was up with that two week length that Caeser gave to Big Mom to finish the giant serum. Usually when Oda puts a specific amount of time for something it comes into play. So I'm curious now if it was just meant to make us put Caeser aside for the time being to focus on all the Sanji/Pudding/Germa stuff, or if he had changed his mind about where he was going with Caeser this arc.
I originally expected for Caeser to stay in Big Mom's custody after the arc concluded, with the two week time period being the indicator the amount of time until we'd see Big Mom again, as I don't expect her to be fully taken down but still knocked down a peg at the end of this arc. It would be a decent amount of time for the Crew to sail to Wano, go through the shenanigans there, and then Big Mom would still be an enemy to face at some point after Caeser would fail to create the serum.
After this chapter though I am thinking that the entire crew will take down Big Mom in Elbaf where she will be the main villain. I can't see Big Mom coming out of this arc with all of her children still sticking by her side and having the Crew she does now. We've seen with children like Opera that some will lie out their ass about really important stuff just to avoid Mama's wrath. Now of course this arc could end with this stuff being a kind of wake up call for her, and she'll realize that her actions have cost the trust of her family making her directly responsible for all the faults in her Crew. But given her treatment of Chiffon, memories altered or not, she has been shown to be pretty cruel person, killing Muscato as well.
So while I see a redemption absolutely possible, I think it's equally possible that parts of her family will abandon her after this leading to her going on the offensive and heading to Elbaf by the time the Strawhats arrive their. The Strawhats may not be able to take down an Emperor right now without many allies, however I could see it as a could progression for their strength. They don't directly defeat her, but rather weaken an Emperor in Whole Cake Island. Then in Wano they take down Kaido with many allies. Then the Strawhats, and perhaps some of the giants fight a weakened Big Mom Pirate Crew in Elbaf.
Luffy will be inside the cake. Or inside a stainless pan that has turkey or chicken in it.. but already down to the bones. lole
Although Luffy will most likely mess this up some how, I can see Caesar betraying everyone because he is a coward and wants to escape. However whatever Caesar throws out there will be neutralized easily by Reiju. I still see that fish poison that nearly killed Luffy and sucked up by Reiju will still a factor in this arc.
Maybe the extra two he made are meant to be used on Luffy and Bege :ninja:

I can't see Caeser betraying anyone until they'd take care of Big Mom. She already hunted him down once for blowing through her money. So if she lives and finds out he escaped, let alone provide weapons to kill her, she'd seek him out and murder him. So I honestly don't see Caeser pulling any funny business short of trying to flee if things get serious, like if the photo isn't able to be destroyed.
Could Mother Caramel be luffy's mother or maybe grandmother ?
