Thanks to DBZ Kai, Toei is also well aware that they can go back and do the same with One Piece after it ends to kept that money flowing. So even less incentive to do it right the first time.

With Touei restructuring their planning departments now and adding a new department specifically for Dragon Ball productions I have to wonder if the planning and scheduling for future projects won't be better. If Shintani takes over as the character designer for future films I definitely want to see the next series receive the same level of treatment as Tiger Mask W. Character Designer Kawaga Hisashi pushes very hard for the animation being of a high level so if Shintani could do the same for the return of Dragon Ball I'd be so happy. Let's get Kamatani Haruka and Watanabe Koudai to speahead an episode for Dragon Ball on the level of their incredible Tiger Mask W episodes!

Can we go back to talking about FighterZ please? It looks more and more confirmed that the leak from months ago about the dlc is true. We're getting Zamasu, Vegito, base Goku, base Vegeta, 17, and Cooler.
Thoughts:
Zamasu - not someone I care about personally, but if its not merged Zamasu, I hope that he has Goku Black assists to mirror Goku Black's moves.
Vegito - God I hate Vegito for some reason. I think it's because the wrong kind of fans like him.
Goku (base) - We didn't need any more versions of Goku, but since we're getting one, this may actually be the version I'd want to play. Hoping for a Kaioken/Spirit Bomb based moveset, with extra credit if he gets to use his staff. Would also love an intro involving Nimbus.
Vegeta (base) - Likewise, we didn't need any more versions of Vegeta, but also likewise, this could be the version I actually want to play as. Hoping for Saiyan armor - if it's post-Saiyan/Namek Vegeta, then forget about it. Hoping also for an Oozaru lvl 3.
17 - I don't like the idea of playing as a character who is already another character's assist, but since 17 is awesome now, I can make an exception. It would ease my feelings on the subject if he had some assists with 18 - otherwise it all feels sexist. Like, 18 needs 17's help but not vice-versa? Wouldn't like, but I still look forward to using him either way.
Cooler - Movie characters? In mah FighterZ? Lameness that I'm already putting up with with Broly (and Bardock kinda). If it's Cooler's final form, it's much more tolerable, because it's a very metal design. I've seen a rumor that it's going to be a brand new form. If it's Golden Cooler, that's lame as HFIL, but otherwise, could be interesting.What does everyone think of the season 2 rumors?
They're: Zarbon & Raditz, Roshi & Videl with Saiyaman, Gogeta & Tapion, and Cabba & Kale with Caulifla
Only one I hate is Gogeta. Roshi is amazing. Videl is cool, Kale is cool (but Caulifla or outright Kefla would have been better), Zarbon and Raditz get points for being old-school Z villains, Tapion is alright because of his sword, and Cabba is okay. Will be interesting to see people rocking purely Universe 6 teams, at least.

Disappointed with Base Goku and Vegeta. That feels kinda like a waste of a slot considering we already have 2 other versions of them in the game.
I want them to play very differently… and actually have different models. like, if they look and play like Saiyan arc? That'd be cool.
Vegetto Blue is neat, interested in that
Zamasu is interesting too. Wonder if he will be half goopy.
Cyborg 17 is also interesting but not mind blowing.
I'm surprised at how much I like Burdock. I've not figured him out all the way yet but I'm loving him so far.
Cooler is a disappointment. Who is clamboring for Cooler out there?!
Broli is a garbage character and it's represented properly here by him playing like Garbage.

Zarbon and Raditz aren't anything spectacular but I feel could be just good solid additions
Kamesen'in and Videl are both actually REALLY interesting. Them not being massive powerhouses like the rest of the cast mean they'd have to be inventive with their movesets. could be a lot of fun done right
Tapion is also interesting for a similar reason. He's definitely more powerful than them but he would also probably necessitate a new moveset based around his sword. Might end up being a Trunks clone, but could be good if done right.
Cabba and Kale are the most exciting. Especially because Broli is garbage so having Better!Broli in the game would be awesome.
Gogeta is the only real disappointment. With so many versions of Goku and Vegeta plus Vegetto coming, this would feel entirely redundant.

Glad to see Dragon Garow Lee getting some well deserved recognition. He is so much better than Toyotaro that I cant understand why isnt he drawing Super instead.

Lee can't really draw good fight scenes, either. He's also probably much slower than Toyo-tarou considering how often he relies on drawing in various different styles rather than his own.

I didn't see a thread in the video game section so I'm asking here. Anyone know how to unlock all of storymode? I'm at 73% after going through all 3 arcs. Not sure what I missed.

Uh, haven't played after that weekend. The story cut scenes were 3 categories, the main plot, the pre battle banter, triggered by getting the two characters to battle in the indicated arena, and the heart to hearts unlocked by leveling up the characters.

It does, it's complicated for the "fight this enemy" few ones, and the menu choice isn't obvious, but I'm certain that it's possible, as I did it that way.

I like to think he had his eyes closed….it's the part of getting there and not needing oxygen that's unusual.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting
