I've read that Ellison had more electoral experience, which might be good for the position, but otherwise there's no reason Perez isn't a competent choice and, frankly, I'm a lot more concerned about that then if they follow policies A, B, and C vs A, B, C, and D.

He might as well try and take credit for it now; people stop caring about the debt whenever there's a Republican in the White House.

So not only does the new head of the EPA use a private server used for (at the time) state business, but he also lied to Congress about having it during his questioning

Another one of Trumps miltary cabinet members disagree with his terms and policies. This time Mcmasters dislikes the term "radical Islamic terrorism because it "isn't helpful to US goals." I love seeing these comments, but I have to wonder what good it will do. I heard last month Mattis disagrees with Trump about Russia, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
He must realize that Trump is desperate to have anyone at all in the job, so he can speak his mind more freely.
That and he probably wouldn't mind being fire. Recall this guy as active duty military had no choice but to accept the job when chosen.

To the surprise of nobody, Trump has backed out of the Correspondent's Dinner since that might risk his fragile fee-fees being hurt.
Wait seriously, lol god this man is such a weenie.

This fills me with hope that Scott might be the next cabinet member to fall, though I fear the Republicans will try to push this aside.
I'm wondering if I should make a "death pool" for this cabinet at work. Surely more are to come, right?
-
I'm willing to start a deadpool for when Jeff Sessions literally drops dead.

I'm surprised there isn't a Sessions/Judge Frollo meme yet.

[quietly smirks at the sound of Sessions singing the 'You are deformed…' bit to Trump]
-
DeVos apparently disagreed with the bathrooms move but backed down out of fear of losing her job. I guess being totally unqualified for an important position makes your job security pretty low, huh
It looks really bad for Trump to fire his own people left and right, but he seems willing to do that anyway.
Those "You're Fired!" ads for The Apprentice have taken on a whole new meaning.

Lord, the reactions to Perez on the articles on Rawstory. The whole "fake progressives marching themselves off to irrelevance and dragging the rest of us along with them" phenomenon won't be going away any time soon.
What made you think it would?
-
What made you think it would?
I didn't really think it would so much as I was hoping that they'd tone it down.
Of course they won't; knifing progressive causes in the back in the interests of "purity" is far more important to them than actually protecting and advancing those causes.

Hey you don't gotta tell me I joust with these people on Rawstory regularly and they hate being told their gameplan is impractical and to get over their bullshit. While being contradictory or hypocritical.
Like I got into with one guy who argued that Democrats can't keep electing establishment candidates as it's one of the reasons they lost the election…...then admits he voted for Hillary (despite her being a weak candidate) and intends on voting third party in federal and local races. And then had the gall to ask me do I want to repeat the results of the 2016 election.

Oh, that's too close to me, though I supposed it's naive to assume the KKK (or any hate group) don't operate in my state. Hopefully this incident gets a similar response to that one in Missouri.

OK… so there's obviously a problem now. My question is, who are these people and when can the FBI start tracking them?

Northern states don't need the KKK to have hate groups. Skinhead Neo Nazi shit does just fine.

The question to your first question will give an answer to your second question.

"It's a massive conspiracy" doesn't answer either question or help in any meaningful way.

I'm not sure what it's like today but Pennsylvania was definitely part of that group of states where the KKK gained a lot of power in the '20s and '30s with it lasting well into the '60s and '70s. There are probably quite a few remaining splinter groups for those days as a result.
You could draw a line from Pennsylvania west through to Nebraska back then and hit two or three of the states with the largest Klan membership of that era. If I recall correctly, Indiana had the largest Klan organization ever.

Obviously Trump's anti-Islamic views and actions are a huge problem, but they're an entirely different problem from anti-Semitism.
-

Not really since Trump and the GOP have been undermining attempts to deal with other extremist groups by choosing to focus solely on Islamic groups instead and treating any discussion of white, Christian extremist groups as being racist against white people. It's been that way since the Bush years. Let alone the mere fact that encouraging hatred and discrimination against certain groups pretty much opens the door for other groups being targeted as well.

In what is being called the "Trump Slump" tourism is down big time… for some reason.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have already been lost since the Muslim ban started, and if this continues countless jobs will be lost and billions of dollars.
(As it turns out, when you start being hostile to foreign visitors, people stop wanting to visit. Even if they aren't Muslim.)

I don't blame them. If I'm going to visit the US as a tourist I'd want to feel like I can be all "Wow America!".
And right now America feels like it hit its head really really hard and is required to wear an adult diaper and be restrained from harming people by burly orderlies. So its like you don't really want to visit right now, its not the America you want to see, its an ugly sight. -
So there's this Mexican Cartoonist who's pretty cool, and in my opinion the best one cartoonist we have here. Unlike every other cartoonist here, he's not afraid of openly criticizing left-wing politics tho, this also doesn't means he's 'friendly' with right-wing politics, in fact, he's the kind who'll take on everyone equally without any clear favoritism.
well, so here's today's cartoon, that kinda explains as to why most media predominantly talks about Trump being a racist prick, which usually its supporters deny by saying he's just 'xenophobic' or none of his sayings or actions aren't racist, because "Mexican isn't a race" or people are too comforted with the PC culture and no one can use terminology that offends minorities. however this is the cartoon.!
I don't clearly understand the usage of the 9/11 attacks but translating the whole thing, it goes like this.
1st square; How Many illegal Canadians are there in the United states??..less than 'ours' but more than you think!
2nd ; but of course, they don't go there to do those jobs illegal Mexicans usually take.
3rd ; they go for the same employees as Americans, in fact, Illegal Canadians compete with Americans despite the fact that they are ILLEGALS!(cartoonist notes that there is even a movie about it with Sandra Bullock, I personally don't know which movie is this)
4th ; Here, cartoonist only connotes that Mexico and Canada have gigantic markets but very 'dependable' on the U.S.
5th ; U.s. border with Canada is bigger than ours and is not extent of "bad hombres",(I don't know why would he use the 9/11 attacks, probably only because The WTC was very close to Canada's border, tho, I don't find any reason as to why use it on a migration matter, I even checked the hijackers identities to see if anyone was connected to Canada somehow, I feel like cartoonist here commit a mistake with these, or I simply don't understand/see any connection at all)
6th; however, nobody talks about a 'Canadian invasion', nobody ever mentions about kicking them out for being illegals.
7th; nobody accuses them of having 'anchor babies', neither anyone asks them for a visa.
8th; nobody wants to build a wall in the Canadian border, neither threatens them with elevating taxes for Mexican products to get them pay for it.
9th; the reason? is pretty obvious and clear ( note epic bald eagle with kkk lookalike head).
10th; now that if we go for 'auto-criticism', it wouldn't be bad for Mexico either to try and be more like Canada.(very true sentence if having 'bad hombres' is truly the reason of why Trump has that strange fixation… on illegals... Mexican illegals....Brown Mexican Illegals...) Wonder if Trump will ever say anything about this, or Europeans over-staying visas... but naah, they're not colored people, is alright to stay illegally for them... -
There was a false rumor that the 9/11 terrorists and others were flying into Canada and then traveling from there to the U.S. across much laxer border security.

Philip Bilden, Trump's nominee for Navy Secretary, withdrew his name for consideration. This comes after days of the White House proclaiming rumors of his upcoming withdrawal to be fake news.

I would've thought that'd fall under the area of being an Alternative Fact.

Every time I hear about a Trump nominee I instantly think what's wrong with this person? But that he withdrew I'm curious even more. And to why they said no.

Same reason his nominee for Secretary of the Army withdrew; no way to separate his business connections from a potential government job in a way that could pass the Office of Government Ethics requirements.

I'm honestly surprised they owned up to that. Like I'm super skeptical of any of his nominees not being the most corrupt people ever. Don't the others that made it through have the same problem?

The Department of Defense probably has more stringent requirements for avoiding conflicts of interest than the rest of the government.

Just because they are chosen by Trump does not mean they have be underqualified or corrupt. You can always think he had no name name left for the remaining jobs and took the first name that was thrown at him.

Bilden was apparently suggested by Mattis.

Some of them I assume are good people
-
Well that's good to know. But Trump's track record makes it hard for my first inclination to be positive.
At any rate. Those leaking leakers leaking leaks.
-
He also, per Politico’s sources, “warned the group of more problems if news of the phone checks and the meeting about leaks was leaked to the media,” which it promptly was.
-
Too good, lol. I don't think it'll ever be beneficial to reveal that you were a leaker, even after Trump is gone, but these people are heroes.

Has anybody made a supercut yet of Republicans whining about recent townhalls compared to how they felt about the ones Democrats faced in 2009?

Meanwhile, though I didn't see this on the air, I found this youtube video. A George W. Bush interview where is somewhat throws Trump's behavior under the rug.
