But I didn not expect Big Mom to confront Brook this quick.
Bropper will probably help him escape through a mirror even quicker. Just wonder if he had enough time to copy the RPG.

Careful there, some people will get butthurt over your opinion. :ninja:
Haha, and you warned me a little bit late too.
I exaggerated about some elements that i mentioned of course, but justifying the hurry for Wano's sake, still seems unnatural to me.
The ''let's skip this in order to see it in Wano'' argument, sorry, but ain't gonna cut it for me.
Punishment by who? Germa?
Not exactly Germa but Ichiji.
@Razh:
Yes Pudding. The woman who has yet to uncover her third eye which might mean she has an ability she's hiding which might be potent enough to injure a super human.
You think she can injure a super human ? Ok )
I personally don't see that happening. I mean she is not on par with Sweet Commanders or elite fighters like Bobbin. Big Mom showed perfectly that she is just a puppet.
People do apparently feel things are being sped-up. Every week it's a converation point.
Personally i'm not noticing it. The speed of which the plot moves feels entirely natural to the plotline.
Devoting entire chapters to building up each of of the 25 minor roadblocks would just throw of the pacing.
I somewhat agree with both of you. But the problem for me isn't the lack of set up fro Chopper and Carrot. For example, the Chopper and Carrot situation might have been pulled out differently. Without pulling an obvious swicharoo with fake Carrot. Chopper could have just escaped by shrinking, grabbing someone's knife and cutting the rope Carrot was tied with. Less potential holes.

If you don't want a slow-ass pacing, then you have to accept it.
We only get 16 pages per week.
I don't get it, why does have everything have to be plausible and realistic? Why don't we mention the multiple conversations going on between Brulée and her team and the boiling cauldron which is simmering beneath the frog probably making noises of its own and the fact that these numbskulls are licking their lips and can't wait to dig into to some boiled rabbit stew to pay attention to these occasional ribbit noises that are further being muddled by the real deal herself directly above the imposter?
It was a funny scene and carrot and bropper is a badass tag team, when they were running for a few chapters I didn't expect the outcome to be this satisfying, monster point shoulder toss was beastly! Carrot making light work of Diesel's apparent speed was hilarious and that water/electro combo was cherry on top. I'm probably the only one who finds ichiji boring and bland, yeah stoic badass my ass, Niji is the most interesting of the trio to me, his constant jeering and snickering is building up to an epic beat down by Sanji later. All the match ups from this chapter alone have eclipsed any match up that has happened in previous post-time skip arcs. Tamago bs Pedro, Brook vs Big Mom!? Even Luffy hasn't had an audience with the big lady herself. I am sooo excited and Reiju bae what's wrong, who would hurt that pretty face of yours? I think people saying something about Pudding are onto something here…
Pudding ? She isn't even elite fighter in Mama's crew. How she supposed to injure a super human ?
Capone may have done it. But due to the fact that she is alive, I think it was punishment because she helped Sanji.
Who knows, perhaps there are some unknown forces that would be revealed in near future.
I must be all confused, because I thought Pudding was Big Mom's first mate or second in command.
You think she can injure a super human ? Ok )
I personally don't see that happening. I mean she is not on par with Sweet Commanders or elite fighters like Bobbin. Big Mom showed perfectly that she is just a puppet.
I don't think anything. I know I don't know everything there is to know about Pudding and Reiju and am thus allowing for possibilities, instead of making assumptions based on incomplete data.

Obvious? I don't remember anyone pointing this out before.
We knew Brulee had a bunch of decoys around.

Well I don't see any problems with making predictions based on Mama's attitude to Pudding.
Although I don't mind if it was Pudding, but for now I can't see it happening.
What if Sanji is cooking something to poison Big Mom? What if Big Mom is going to fall in love with Brook? What if Reiji was attacked by Sanji (maybe a transformation)? What if there is a chapter next week please? xd
Not exactly Germa but Ichiji.
You think she can injure a super human ? Ok )

Everyone is a puppet to Big Mom, you have a purpose as long as you continue to serve that purpose I will keep you around. Pudding is to bring Germa into Big Moms territory/control.
With all the pacing complains going on, I actually enjoy the speed of this arc. Much better than the Dressrosa arc pacing. Sooooo slooooooow
What if there is a chapter next week please? xd
Nope. First of the 2 Jump's December Breaks.
Nope. First of the 2 Jump's December Breaks.
But it's a little bit too soon no? Normaly, if i remember, it's two week in a row (and normally the last two)
Love how everyone was speculating and hyping up a Brook vs Smoothie fight and Oda just says fuck that and threw Big Mom's fat ass in there
If you don't want a slow-ass pacing, then you have to accept it.
We only get 16 pages per week
How every fan adresses the pace is entirely subjective of course.
I never ever complained about slow pacing.
Hell, this might sound insane but i wouldn't have a problem with Dressrosa lasting for a couple chapters more in order to show some things that,to my opinion, were handed a little bit in a hurry.
I would have liked ,one or two chapters more about the mooks that were taken out today for example.
On the other hand, provided this ''rush'' is occuring because Oda gets older, tired, sick then of course i shouldn't have any issues.
Personally, I'm just happy to see Chopper actually kick some ass for once.
Cover page reminds me of Toadofsky mini game in Mario RPG.
I am not sure why the Vinsmoke are talking so casually around Big Mom's homies. However, the fact they used ~"hostage"~ in the translation makes me believe they were more discrete about it. This interaction brings up a new light to the alliance Judge is seeking, however a bit confusing. They say to take Pudding hostage to prevent Big Mom from making demands from them. However Ichiji says right away: if they do the same to us(with Sanji), we don't really care. So why would they need Pudding to live with them, if at the end of the day, there is nothing to make the Vinsmoke submit. This makes it seems less likely they'll try to overthrow Big Mom, and try to make her user her power in their favor by using Pudding.
Not really much to say about the Chobro situation. Brule might have started transforming animals to confuse them(like with Luffy) while they were being chased, and it ended up backfiring at her. Carrot must have been screaming pretty loud and repeatedly to mask the frog's croak. The only thing I am a bit worried about is that Chopper is always going Monster Point, I would have loved to see some other points making an appearance. To add to that, it seems he can move normally after transforming now, so he might be getting stronger.
Poor Noble Croc, while everything was going down, he was still at the table, waiting for food, and then he gets slammed. Diesel was so funny, for a second I thought he had wheels, but he is actually just running. With Chobro's mission being a success, the plot seems to be moving towards escaping.
Ugh, Sanji cooking, well there goes my wish.
Brooke putting in some hurt. Glad to see them overcoming some no-names. My question is, why did Smoothie not do what Big Mom did with the door? That's why she is probably under 1B. Although Big Mom showing up in the treasure room, moved the plot away from escaping. I do hope to see how Brooke gets captured, even if that will be his destiny.
Pedro vs Tamago should be quite the nice fight.
The highlight of the chapter: what happened to Reiju? Well Pudding and her were both missing earlier, so it could be Pudding. However if it is Pudding, then maybe Reiju saw her trying to escape, and they have started a plan to ruin the wedding. The problem with it being Capone is that he got sloppy, because Reiju is still there to tell whom was her perpetrator unless he did it sneakingly.
Obvious? I don't remember anyone pointing this out before.
We knew Brulee had a bunch of decoys around.
Should have been obvious for Brulee and her posse who probably know how her ability works is what I meant.
Guys, let Chopper and Carrot enjoy a little victory until they bump into Smoothie next wee… Ah goddamnit forgot about these annoying New Year breaks -.-
Ok, what if Reiju is in Bege's castle ? :)
But it's a little bit too soon no? Normaly, if i remember, it's two week in a row (and normally the last two)
Sometimes they do Jump-Jump-Break-Break and sometimes Jump-Break-Jump-Break.
This year, they are doing the latter.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I would have liked ,one or two chapters more about the mooks that were taken out today for example.
The mooks that Brook took out or the ones Chopper took out? Because both of them do not deserved any more time to show out specially the ones Brook took out.
@Tamiel:
Ugh, Sanji cooking, well there goes my wish.
He is a Cook Tamiel. It is what he does by the definition of Cook.
The line of Judge on taking Pudding as hostage in her castle with Sanji confirms they aren't in league with Capone for some sort of coup.
The chances of Pedro joining have just increased a bit, first he had some similarities with Sanji about the cigarette and the hairs covering his eye, and now we found out he has some similarities with Brook, Pedro lost 50 years of lifespan, Brook lost 50 years wandering in the Florian Triangle, Moriah stole Brook's shadow, and Big Mom stole part of Pedro's own soul/lifespan.
About Reiju i think it would make sense if Pudding was the culprit. In that way she could ruin the relantionships between Big Mom and Germa without both parties blaming Sanji and thus taking action against Zeff, and by the last chapter we learn she has clearly already decided with all intentions to sacrifice her own life for Sanji. Big Mom would only blame Pudding, because Sanji has already agreed to marry, and Germa wold only blame Big Mom's family as a whole. The only problem is….how could Pudding do that? 3rd eye theories?
Punishment by who? Germa? They don't even know where she is. Big Mom? What aid has she given Sanji that could provoke that from anyone on her side?
Pudding is possible only because we don't know what powers, if any, she has.
Pudding hasn't had an info box introduction has she?
Just went back to ch. 827 … nope the info box introduced Nitro the Jello (café owner) and Labiyan the carpet... said nothing about Pudding though it was splashed over a panel with her in it.
[hide] [/hide]
Why give info box for such low 1 or 2 time shown characters (slime was shown with Pudding twice, first -and only- appearance of the carpet) but NOT give one for Pudding?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when a character that's important to the arc like Pudding is hasn't gotten a info box when they first appear, they usually get one later on when they play a crucial part?
@Tamiel:

Welllll… he does have wheels ...just at waist level and holding onto them. Given that page -how he looks and how he was boasting once he starts running they can't catch him- AND his name Diesel, I suspect he has a DF that allows him to change his feet into wheels OR his DF allows him to run very fast.... more like he's a "train-man" like how Luffy's DF makes him a "Rubber Man"
Ok, what if Reiju is in Bege's castle ? :)
maybe maybe not but i think that one that hurt reiju is pudding
Ugh, I could have done without the whole Carrot/Frog/Mirror stuff. In all honesty, that whole Carrot being trapped above the cauldron shit we could have been without from the beginning. But this had some of the most stellar action I've seen in quite some time. While I really enjoy Brook getting to kick serious ass, I'm a bit sour that the big guys went down like that. I thought they looked like real badasses and was halfway expecting them to be able to do some real damage. Still, I think the art in the fighting sequences made up for it.
So the frog turns back to normal when Brûlée is unconscious, yet the mirror world is still functional?
Poor Brook. He is so boned right now.
The mooks that Brook took out or the ones Chopper took out? Because both of them do not deserved any more time to show out specially the ones Brook took out.
I kinda think the ones Brook took out did. They had a way to elaborate design to just be tossed in the bushes like that. As for the Crocodile and the Diesel dude, I couldn't care less.
Did someone predict something like Pudding said "They threatened to kill someone very important to Sanji in the East Blue, but I will get all the blame on me and you can leave here carefree" ?
So Pudding plan to eat the whole wedding cake herself. The most important thing to Big Mom. She didnt show up to lunch.
Also, the cake may have been poisoned by Bege. And now he attacked Reiju to set the Vinsmokes against BM. Awesome coincidence! :ninja:

Either she has a powerful DF that she hides or she took a bunch of Caesar's candies and went berserk. :P
That Crocodile was the most cute thing ever since the beginning of OP, why did Chopper have to smash him like that?
Pudding hasn't had an info box introduction has she?

Poor Brook. He is so boned right now.
I can see this being explained by the idea that the mirror world is pre-existing and Brulée just manipulates it.

I'm still much more on the Carrot train for joining, but Pedro also seems to be making a good push for it. I still think Carrot's more unique than the other SHs and she has the "want to explore" feel more which would vibe better with how the SHs travel. Pedro seems more tied down to the Minks at this moment.
In terms of the chapter, I loved it! Great seeing the other non-monster-trio SHs kick some ass for once. Seems like a plan is really forming together. You got the mirror world for the escape plan. You got the treasure chest bomb to trigger the chaos. I'm not entirely sure, but Brook may have been able to copy the Poneglyphs, so that's one task down. Still not entirely sure how Luffy and Nami will escape. Brook might get airlifted from a mirror before BM wrecks him.
And the final twist….Reiji. I think we can outrule almost all parties except for Capone and Pudding. I'm not entirely sure why either would instigate an attack at this current moment. Seems kind of premature.
i think pudding is the last sweet commander
I think Pekoms would have mentioned that by now.
Also why are they talking so reckless in front of the green and black teas?
Good question, we know the objects Big Mom gives life to are able to give information. Maybe the simpletons can only say their names and things like "Eat me!"
That Crocodile was the most cute thing ever since the beginning of OP, why did Chopper have to smash him like that?
Because Chopper monster point is cuter :P
So the frog turns back to normal when Brûlée is unconscious, yet the mirror world is still functional?
Poor Brook. He is so boned right now.
Well it would be a bit… messy... if the mirror world stopped functioning while people were still in it ;)
No seriously, I think its because Brulee is inside the mirror world and that's why it didn't collapse.
I think Pekoms would have mentioned that by now.
we don't know a lot about pudding and what make me say this is

We are in an island that everyone has an elaborated design. Those three never striked me as more special.
@Daz:
The truly weird thing is how and why the frog-Carrot got created, and how they got mixed up. Overall I appreciate Chopper and Carrot getting something to do, but this whole scenario was set up extremely clunkily, and the whole thing is hurt by how completely fragmented this whole plotline has been. Like, Brülee has appeared so little since getting electrocuted that seeing her getting electrocuted again doesn't leave much impact. Also, I guess Randolph is out now. Bye Randolph!
Its not that it isn't entertaining to see Chopper throw a giant crocodile man, or see Carrot tackle train-guy, but everything just needed more buildup.
Yeah, I'm not really sold on that part either. We know for sure that it was Brulee who created it since it's been shown previously in the forest.. How can she not tell her own creations apart from the real deal if it's her ability that created it?
I would have preferred Chopper just going brain point to monster and then recovering her instead tbh. I hope we get some kind of explanation as to how and why her own creation could deceive her.. Maybe that's just the flaw of her ability?
Chopper slamming that gator was pretty satisfying, imo. Even without the much needed build up.
I really wish Oda would stop the rushed battles though. Fast pace arcs can be great and he's shown he can do them well in the past… It really seems like he's rushing things a bit too much for whatever reason..
Still a great chapter. Just wish he'd slow things down a bit, we're dealing with one of the Emporers here...
The most creative cover request that I've ever read in OP (y)
My exact thoughts. So true
So the frog turns back to normal when Brûlée is unconscious, yet the mirror world is still functional?
Poor Brook. He is so boned right now.
I think the mirror world exists as an element of One Piece world independently from Brûlée's DF, she can only control the access to it.
He is a Cook Tamiel. It is what he does by the definition of Cook.
I went on a lengthy discussion with Count Mario about it. I know Sanji had no obligation to not cook again, I just thought it would be nice if his first meal, embracing whom he is, and what he really wants would show up when Luffy and him made amends. Although, his food could taste like shit for now as he has reverted to being the Vinsmokes play thing.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when a character that's important to the arc like Pudding is hasn't gotten a info box when they first appear, they usually get one later on when they play a crucial part?
I still think it was weird that Pudding came in to the rescue and conveniently she had hired people that she mistook for Luffy and Chopper.
Going back to that chapter, the wolf mink that approached Pedro was a member of the Nox Pirates. Potentially more allies if citizens of Totland are invited to the tea parties or the wedding.
Welllll… he does have wheels ...just at waist level and holding onto them. Given that page -how he looks and how he was boasting once he starts running they can't catch him- AND his name Diesel, I suspect he has a DF that allows him to change his feet into wheels OR his DF allows him to run very fast.... more like he's a "train-man" like how Luffy's DF makes him a "Rubber Man"
In the same chapter above is where Diesel shows up for the first time. He looked like such a serious character. Maybe both, his DF allows him to run very fast and he could transform his feet. Not that it matters now, he was just a joke.
So did someone shoot reiju in the legs of why her legs bleed and she barely walks?
Capone shot her? Who else uses guns this arc?
Yeah, I'm not really sold on that part either. We know for sure that it was Brulee who created it since it's been shown previously in the forest.. How can she not tell her own creations apart from the real deal if it's her ability that created it?
I would have preferred Chopper just going brain point to monster and then recovering her instead tbh. I hope we get some kind of explanation as to how and why her own creation could deceive her.. Maybe that's just the flaw of her ability?
Nothing says that Brulee is immune to the effects of her own ability.
Okay chapter, disappointed by Chopper though. And damn, Brook and Pedro are in a bit of a pinch, I say.
Without having even started the chapter, the title is giving me TOO MUCH hope. . .
. . .let's NOT get disappointed, please!
EDIT: Ok, midway through the chapter, and this is AWESOME.
How exactly can you say that when the Bunny Rabbit actually did everything? If there was ever a misnamed chapter, it's this one.
Is there anybody with an understanding of that frog thing. I really can't comprehend how it went
