This arc is a drag… I tried but I honestly cannot give a damn about Sanji's predicament. I thought I liked him better as a character but turns out I don't, so enjoy the rest of the arc, my fellow AP members. I'll wait for this story arc to be over and resume the weekly read of One Piece after they've sorted out all this Sanji thing.
See ya!
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

See ya!Mind you I'm posting this after a 14 hour shift of constant noise and insanity so I may not be all here. (my eye has been pulsing from that for approximately 8 hours, joy!)
You don't necessarily have to even engage yourself in the emotional segment of Sanji's plot to enjoy this arc. Yeah that's pretty central, but we're in Yonkou territory, are going to keep on seeing the full might of the armada of a Yonkou, and most people seem to not quite be able to pinpoint exactly how this all will play out. It's interesting. You don't have to be INVESTED in the emotional core to find it at least interesting. Is it a problem that you're not emotionally engaged considering the series' track record, well, yes.
An example is I could not give a rat's behind about the Kyros-Rebecca plot when that was happening. Still found lots to enjoy in Dressrosa.
So what I was getting at before is that "interesting" is enough to warrant the weekly-ish read for me. If you don't find any of it interesting, then yeah wait 'til it all plays out.

Nobody's getting chapters next week if I understand right. They're taking one of two holiday breaks (second is for new year's I think)

To me Reiju's wounds look like she received them from a gun. This could indicate that it was indeed Bege, who wounded Reiju.
Who else could have done that? Pudding? Then she might not know that Reiju "supports" Sanji.
Pekoms? I doubt he has a reason to injure Reiju unless he is trying to enrage the Vinsmokes towards BM (this could be Pudding's Motive as well), but according to his talk with Bege, Pekoms still seems to be loyal to BM.I really liked the page with Tamago's and Pedro's missing eyes. Each of them did a better Job than BB did on Shanks (he still has his left eye, although "scratched").

She was definitely in a melee fight. Check out all the bruise smudges. Blood is only coming out of her left leg, as it seems. No way to tell if it's from a gunshot, a cut, a stab or something else.

I agree on the bruise smudges, but her Dress Looks pretty clean (as you also stated, that blood is only on her leg). The blood on her Hand could be from touching her wound or someone else's blood during fighting back. A slice usually hits a Torso unless we are speaking of Zoro @ Little Garden. Maybe she got shot while she tried to run away or maybe I am interpreting too much in this Panel.
Unfortunately she doesn't look like Sanji or Cosette after a "melee"-fight with Niji (fat lips and black eye and so on).–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I am pretty open on who is the culprit though. Bege is way more predictable as the culprit, whereas Pudding being the culprit would be totally shocking given the Facts that we know about her yet.
It would lift her char above the likes of Shirahoshi and Rebecca, I'd welcome that. -
Not many differences between VIZ and MS this week. Certainly no major ones, just very minor things.
- As with previous SJ covers, VIZ significantly trimmed this one down; not nearly as many characters are on the front dressed up as Straw Hats. (Besides Luffy himself, there's just one each of Zoro, Brook, and Chopper, and two Sanjis.)
- VIZ name of the chapter is "Chobro in the Land of Mirrors".
- Where Brulee is saying, "This is going to make the perfect stew!" she instead says, "Ooh, we're serving some fine wild game today!"
- VIZ's name for the Noble Croc: "Aristrocroc".
- VIZ doesn't appear to have bothered translating the servant's "-nas" quirk into anything. The pun he makes in the original about "-nas/nasu" isn't made into a joke at all here; he just says "If you're feeling hungry, I could bring you a meal…"
- Big Mom's angry shouting when she's barging into the Treasure Vault is just "Who dares to interfere with my fun?! Who could be so foolish?!"
-
VIZ's name for the Noble Croc: "Aristrocroc".
First Mad Moiselle Amande, and now Aristocroc. Whoever is conjuring up such ingenious wordplay is a very, VERY beautiful person inside and out.

Did they translate the ribbits this time? What was carrot's attack called?
Name of Pedro's crew? -

Name of Pedro's crew?Nope, they still have the frog sounds as "grek".
The names of Carrot's attack (Electrical Luna) and Pedro's crew (the Nox Pirates) are the same in both versions.

by the way walls and the environment look reiju is more likely inside mama's castle. that was surely unexpected btw
Of course she's inside Big Mom's castle because the first panel showed the exterior. But Einstein's will somehow manage to call it another castle.

yeah, that's basically what Oda wants us to think showing her like that to us.
Even tho I think we are in bm's castle there's still something fishy about that panel, while in all these chapters we see walls with chandeliers, the place were Reiju is got lamps on the walls.

With all the pacing complains going on, I actually enjoy the speed of this arc. Much better than the Dressrosa arc pacing. Sooooo slooooooow
Amen. If I wanted long, drawn-out battles, I'd read Naruto.

But I like One Piece battles not Naruto.

Look at that! How typical of this manga.
Its a break this week, and after I go through an entire day DEMANDING to know who attacked Reiju and handling the restaurant I work at by myself.
This probably wouldn't have been that bad if, maybe, I WAS TOLD. You know, "One Piece will be on break next week" which I searched for EVERYWHERE on that panel with the injured Reiju, just to be absolutely sure I'd possibly get the follow up today.
Oh, and just for extra kicks (pun not intended), I guess its no new chapter until 2017, huh?

No one piece is not on break it is shonen jump who is on break so there

Its a Jump break not a One Piece exclusive break. Get over yourself, sometimes the world will not revolve around you.

Shonen Jump as a whole is on a break this week. That's why the last page didn't show "One Piece will be on break next week" at the end. And because it's December, there will be another break or two in quick succession after Chapter 850 next week.
This is one of the only times of the year where mangaka have the chance to take mini-vacations and be with their family. So it's perfectly tolerable despite how excruciating the wait for the next chapter can be.

Fair enough.
I know I act so immature when things like this happen, but it stems from me only reading the Manga version since after the Timeskip. The Manga is an entirely different experience for me, its so hard to take in action and emotion in this text form compared to the animation, it always takes me a long time to understand things (Zou, for example, was completely boggling to me until I got to read the whole thing in one go).
As long as there's one more chapter for 2016. The thing with Reiju was such a huge cliffhanger for me because I've fallen in love with her (whats this the fourth time?).

Unfortunately, that can occur with manga pacing in general. One Piece is one of the worst with it considering its arc lengths and plot line juggling, such as with Jimbei not appearing for at least twenty straight chapters since his ambiguous fate in Chapter 830. One Piece as a series is much more suited for marathoning than reading on a weekly basis.
Also, Jump Festa is this weekend. Which come out with some news and future teases to make the break more tolerable.

Yeah I know what you mean by pacing. Back in Zou I actually did an experiment where I didn't read One Piece or go to any One Piece forums for 4 straight chapters (the common amount between breaks). It was a long month without One Piece but reading those 4 in one go was definitely more enjoyable than reading a single chapter 20 pages a week. The only reason I don't do it is because I enjoy reading the different theories and discussions people have every week.

So that you can't say you weren't told. There will also be a Jump break after the next chapter.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DEAR REIJU?
Who dares that to do to our lovely Reiju?I believe that Capone is responsible for all this mess where he bring to Reiju( don't post perverts things after me LMAO) I believe he done that on purpose to break up the relationship between Big Mom and Germa.Basically, from the begin nobody of them trusted each other so I find it really useless in case if that is the main goal of Capone on this arc.
-
So eager for the next chapter, I actually read this entire thread…
So much complaining! Where to start? The title, I suppose. It's a nod towards Lewis Carroll. Authors of fiction can help shield themselves against allegations of plagiarism by including such unmistakable references. That's fine and we shouldn't expect chapter titles to be perfectly descriptive anyway.
Then some chapters ago, Pudding didn't mistake Luffy and Chopper for people she hired, she was so flattered by their excuse ("too delicious not to eat") that she lied to keep them out of trouble. (Side note: She's apparently not above using deception, our supposedly sweet and innocent Pudding.)
Next up, Chopper going directly to Monster Point. Why wouldn't he? He's not a Saiyan or something with an inherent passion for stupidly and unnecessarily drawing out fights until things go horribly wrong and Shenlong has to clean up his mess. He figures, correctly, that they have to take out all their foes without any of them getting away to breath the word to Big Mom, so he goes all out right from the start. Smart.
And lastly, there's the elephant in the room of this chapter, the transformed frog. I admit, that caught me on the wrong foot too. At first I thought that was cheap of Oda, but then I remembered myself reading the previous chapters. I don't usually look at any panel closely, but those "ribbits" made me wonder where that frog might be (yes, I actually looked intensively for a frog). Then there was Carrot pathetically crying for help. I thought that was really odd because I had placed her in the "Top 4 Fighters" category if she were a Straw Hat. Oda even made clear to us from the start that we're not getting the whole picture on the Bropper side of this story. We didn't see Chopper getting into Mirrorland. We didn't hear what he told Luffy, or what he told Carrot. We didn't see how he and Carrot got those iron balls on their ankles, or how they got rid of them. I even noticed the parallels between Chopper and Carrot's situation in Brûlée's gingerbread house to that of Hansel and Gretel. In their story they tricked the hag using, not something as believable as a transformed frog, but a simple bone. I noticed all that, yet couldn't put it together to figure out what was going on. Thank you, Oda, for making me feel as dull as Aristocroc, whose dimwittedness you took the time to pointed out to us as well.
Anyway, something else I find odd are Big Mom's arranged marriages. Can it be coincidence that all these matches (thus far: Sanji/Pudding, Aladine/Praline, Bege/Chiffon) seem so happy? Pudding even wondered whether her next intended might be "even more wonderful". At the time I thought that was naïveté, but now I'm no longer sure. Any thoughts on that?
-
What if the Government sended CP0 or an Admiral in order to kill Germa or Big Mom and stop the wedding?
-
The vivre card that Bellamy took might become the trigger to the great war. Black Beard can some how obtain it and follow the Straw hats to Raftle.
-
What if the Government sended CP0 or an Admiral in order to kill Germa or Big Mom and stop the wedding?
Unlikely. That talking hat would it know.
-
This arc has enough interested parties even without CP0.
Adding a new party after taking so much time to set all the pieces would be insane. (Have an odd feeling it's really going to happen after writing this.)

Greg's been predicting the possibility of Vegapunk being a wedding guest for some reason lol. I doubt that for many reasons though, despite his past connection with Judge.

Now that we have info about Reverie, I don't feel that's going to be the case. In fact, I've changed my thoughts on a lot of long-term and short-term events thanks to the Reverie announcement and…stuff.

That's perfectly understandable. The Reverie being this soon (or at least part of it) is certainly a bit of a game changer.
Vegapunk has a chance of being revealed at the Reverie (especially if it gives a chance for Oda to showcase more of the inner workings and faculties of the World Government as a whole). But I wouldn't be surprised if we only got teased even more and we see Vegapunk in full when we get some of arc that is centric around him (which is hinted by how Smoker and Tashigi are sailing with the Punk Hazard kids somewhere). And probably with Kuma, the Revolutionaries, and CP0 being around as major characters due to all of their plot-threads being linked together. Franky has to meet Vegapunk eventually (and maybe even Caesar will still be around lol), and the same goes for Luffy with Dragon, Jimbei with Koala, and a reunion between Robin and Dragon that could disclose more info.
But those are just my two cents from personal analysis. I just hope the Reverie reveals Ryokugyu's identity at the least.

Due you see tashigi smoker being in wano. There's a certain amount of big names there but with Tashigi being a female sword fanatic and kuina doppelganger I feel she could make an appearance and smoker would be there too of course, but what do you think the loguetown-albasta gap of 3 arcs seems like it could have a parallel from PH-Wano

As far as we know, they are still going to see Dr. Vegapunk about saving the Giant Kids. Also, Wa is not affiliated with the WG and has fended off attacks from the Marines before, so it'd be a wee bit tough for them to show up.
