It seems that Big Mom has confidence problem.. She doesn't want a giant because the giant will be taller than her, she looks anxious when her subordinate praises germa 66. She doesn't want other people better than her, IMO.

It seems like Big Mom is interested in keeping her promise to Sanji, as long as nothing goes wrong. So the question is: What will be the first thing to go wrong?

I think it has more to do with some past failures. Like, maybe Lola was really supposed to marry Elbaf king, like Alkz suggested. Then, when that failed, she tried to artificially create giants with CC's help.
It seemed Judge's words came a little too close to what's been bothering her. Then we have her complaining about Lola fucking up her arrangement in the same chapter. There's a big chance these 2 things are connected.

Even Germa looking shocked at Linlin's living zoo, the whole thing with Lola, hyping up the bomb, hyping up Brook, and Luffy still talking shit despite being literally nailed to a wall. What a chapter this was!

I'm thinking in a Giant Prince/King from Elbaff (strangely in love with Lola, because Big Mom has a lot of daughters).
Maybe this is the reason why there is not giants in Totland (This giant tribe is so proud, and the other giants are associated with the World Goverment) and it makes sense with the background of the chapter.
Big Mom is so angry with Lola because for her fault she (Big Mom) didn't fulfill part of her dream to have every kind of race in her nation and also she lost an opportunity to obtain the incredible power of the brave warriors from Elbaff.
Perhaps she has also this obsession with the gigantification, not only to see her family at the same height that her.
But the groom could be also the son or owner from other organisation like the Germa 66 (or the black market), a powerful character (it exists people like Fujitora not associated with an important organisation, previously in this case, or a pirate)ā¦ even a Shichibukai, why not (I'm thinking in Weevil, thanks to her manipulative and greed mother...).

The whole phone call between two "losers" talking that big felt awkward to me.
Big Mom has just turned into a weakling and crybaby in my eyes who made a silly excuse why she is not the Pirate King yet. ThatĀ“s what sore losers like Moria do. Plus sheĀ“s even more psycho than I thought, with her living creature book collection, which was too much even for such cold assholes like the Vinsmoke kids.
Right now, IĀ“m like screw Kaidou, Luffy or someone else has to destroy BM first. IĀ“d applaud them.
But yeah, Luffy is currently in no position to trash talk others as he was beaten by some underlings and is imprisoned now. It pisses me off, but the BM crew has every right to make fun of him, for the moment.
ThatĀ“s why the words of both captains this chapter have almost no weight from my point of view.
Unfortunately, ChopperĀ“s and BrookĀ“s portions were only set into motion and we got to see nothing, plus the timing of the whole box opening "spoiler" is weird and too straightforward :/
Anyway, itĀ“s not Sunday every day and the past couple of chapters were amazing, so I am looking forward to the next one, which will surely be better than 847.
Yeah, Luffy did not bring his whole crew, but even the few that came with him will disrupt your plans, BM bitch!

That's still far less creepy than reading picture books with living people in them. People who plead to be let out of their suffering. The killing your kids over ruined plans thing is a dot on the horizon compared to that creep factor.
