Do you think this manga will last?
-
If it's even remotely better than Days it can.

However, Days isn't from Jump (the readers from Jump and Magazine have different taste).
-
@Kaizou:

Oh yesh. I guess that's true.
-
as someone said in the news thread, it's similar to slam dunk
a cute chick recruit a well-built fighter/delinquent dude who's a rookie in the sport she want's him to join and discovers he had a hidden talent
well, it's better than Best Blue & Buddy Strike first chapters so let's see how it will do in Jump
-

Well, for this series, MC is rookie in soccer, but not in general sports.
-
read the full sentence

read the full sentence
I did read the full sentence. I thought you were talking about "general sports" in the bolded part.
Also, if that's summary of Ole Golazo, then it isn't really exactly correct.
-
Hoping this one does well for…selfish reasons.
<_<_>

"a rookie in the sport she want's him to join…."

hmmm, what's not correct about it
-
hmmm, what's not correct about it
Firstly, for fighter/delinquent part, Banba (MC) isn't delinquent. But, as for fighter, I'm not sure if you consider the martial artist as "fighter," as well.
Also, the heroine didn't really found out his talent. She asked her to join soccer club because Banba had very good physics and Banba said that he is Japanese representative player (but, he didn't say he is taekwondo representative).

I was comparing Banba to Hanamichi, Banba is a fighter & Hanamichi is a delinquent

martial artists are literally fighters
@Kaizou:

I didn't say she did

I said she recruited him because he's well-built in my post too
& again I was comparing Makato to Haruko who wanted to recruit Sakuragi because he was well-built -
-
she discovered it in the end
I summarized the chapter, the end of the summary is the end of the chapter
-

-
both a comparison and a summary
& I'll try to be more clear in the future
-
I summarized the chapter, the end of the summary is the end of the chapter
Yes, and I don't think she discovered his hidden talent. It is more like she discovered that Banba was actually a representative for taekwondo, not soccer. The final part is kind of showing his kicking skill in taekwondo is applicable in soccer.
But, if you wants to say Makoto discovered his hidden talent, then that's fine.

I am football fan which is why I really didn't like this.
Its terrible.
-
Decent first chapter with a likeable MC and some good art.
As a football fan and a sport manga fan in general, I hope it will be good enough to survive.
As usual with this genre, its success will mostly depends on the characters.
If the MC is the only interesting character, it won't survive long. So I hope the mangaka quickly introduce his team (hopefully they won't be as bland as the vice-captain) and some rivals.
CCC doing the translation is cool btw. I hope for you that it will be picked up by Viz -

Thanks! Here's hoping :)
Kind of funny how I got Kuroko and now this, despite being a nerd with no knowledge of sportsballs.
-
Chapter 2 was really fun. I'm loving everything from this manga so far. It's definitely better than Demon's plan for me.
-
Teaching the new kids is nice and all but how about you button your shirt first, Ichino?
anyway…
Banba cartoonish expressions
already declaring he's a genius
the captain look like a thug
again a very Slam Dunkish chapter -
"I can only perform golazo"
"I can only perform dunks"I'm willing to bet when Banba cause his team to lose a match he will shave his afro
-
I can't wait to read this!
-
Giant Killing is still the best football manga around
-
I hope this manga gets a decent reception because I really enjoyed the first three chapters.
Btw, isn't "Capurro" supposed to be "Capello" as in Fabio Capello the famous italian coach ? Unless the author is doing like Takahashi (Captain Tsubasa) and slightly changing names of famous people but it would be inconsistent with the names in Hanamori's clothes which are all real so far.
-
Is there a sub somewhere?

…I claim zero knowledge of soccer lol.
If the series gets picked up and Viz ends up doing volumes, I'll be sure to make that correction :)

ch 5

Banba defeated the captain once
now he's the future captain and the king of dun…eh..a...bicycle kicks
where did I see that before?
-
ch 6 http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/iADHOlx1/file.html
I thought footballers who are good at airbattle are called "Towers" not "Wreckers"
-
ch 7

I reckon Banba will get a red card and get sent out
-
ch 8

is it just me or the art quality for this chapter was kinda lower than normal
-
It's probably when the mangaka found out the series would be ending soon.
-
Such a waste. Is a really good manga.
-
ch9
http://bato.to/reader#a151309dedc393de
if the ref thinks the striker went full speed collide with the keeper, he should've gave him a yellow card, doesn't make sense to send him off with just a warning
also he was raising his feet to the defense' heads level, that's dangerous play, that could've been a red card
-
ch 10
can't receive the ball
can't pass
can score a volley heel kick:getlost:
-
ch 11
4 timeskips, this was basically an epilogue
well, better luck next time Mr mangaka and please don't serialize Galaxy Gangs
it was generic as hell -
