Seeing Smoothie wring fluids out of that woman's body reminded me of Tsuru's Wash Wash abilities, and to a lesser extent The Juicer from That's so Raven. That's horrifying.

As everyone mentioned, the Enraged army has some interesting abilities. It was great seeing Nami participate in the fight, though I wish we got to see her giant thunderbolt. I winced when Luffy got Haki-sandwiched by those two family members.

Things are getting tougher and tougher for the gang, I wonder how Pedro and Brook will get through the security.

I mean if the Sauronhats, Sunkist, Law, the other guys on the rescue and Jinbei showed up they would've had a fight on their hands.

A fight it's not immediately certain that they could've come out on the winning side of. Even if Juice lady and Cracker was there.

1- Its the New World, where DFs are far more common than in Paradise, just as Grand Line in general has far more DFs opposed to Blues that rarely see them. Let remember we saw a lot of them in the fleet that occampanied WB (both in his crew and their allies)

2- Its a yonkou's crew, not just any crew but her children. While we've not seen any in Shanks crew (could be because they were introduced early in storyline and didn't want (or plan on) too many DFs that early. And Whitebeard seemed to have the policy that if a person found a DF its their choice to eat it or sell it. I can picture Big Mom being different than both of them and go out of her way to ensure her children have DFs.

I was talking about of how random and bizarre they are. The DFs at the beggining were pretty basic.

As it stands now, he hasn't had some personally dramatic past from which the mugiwaras rescue him. If he does become the next one, it'll be the exception, and he will always be seen as that. Then again I need to read the entire series again; but I certainly remember pretty vividly, still, all the current members' pasts/recruitment.

well,usually a Sweet Commander is supposed to be there with the army,but i suppose because of the security detail for the poneglyph,Smoothie was unable to go.similar case may be for Starchie.
i doubt anyone could stand on equal standing mano-a-mano against Smoothie and Starchie
but imo,that Amande is very terrifying.i think she is very strong and dangerous,and could easily take on the likes of law and Jimbei.

Now Roof will absolutely break the terms of that promise, and prehaps Capone will go behind her back. But her word is apparently solid.

This whole arc has really been a fantastic one, and I am really interested to see exactly where it goes. I hope Oda follows through on the Brook and Pedro plot in the next chapter, because stealth missions are one of my favorite things.

I think that if Luffy will get one more big fight during this arc as I expect him to he will get a glimpse of his devil fruit awakening.

It would put him on par with Yonko top commanders like Cracker or Smoothie(as I imagine here being somewhere around Cracker strength, though with Oda Cracker could have been strongest or third commander that we didnt seen).

Luffy getting awakening would be just right amount of boost from this arc so we would have hope that Luffy can at least put up a fight against Kaido.

This was a fun chapter, and I've been enjoying this arc immensely. Lots of characters that are related (that kind of still gets me) with all kinds of warped personalities and powerful women! I'm glad that's a theme with Big Mom since she is the only female Yonko, and I'm sitting here fingers crossed that they don't get bulldozed somehow. It feels like it's been forever since there was a strong female character fight, and honestly the only one I can remember is Robin smacking the toga-wearing guy in Skypia. I mean, there were others, right?

That… Is actually a twist I can legitimately see happening! Imagine if Chopper has to diagnose and treat Big Mom while Sanji has to cook a substitute cake to appease Big Mom's illness. XD

I hope that this isn't going to be another "Big Mom's a cannibal" presumption lol. But personally, I think Oda will go for some explanation of the body's moisture being used for juice smoothies. Even thought makes little sense it's mostly just water. Oda wouldn't go far enough in morbidity to make it blood.

Also, I have the people she twists probably receive immense pleasure from getting twisted. It's probably Oda doing another female dominatrix shtick like Sadie in Impel Down and various instances of characters being attracted to stern abusive women. Like Bartolomeo adoring Robin or the Amazon Lily citizens never criticizing Hancock.

I'm positive that Big Mom wants to collect every Strawhats she could get her hands on in order to entice Robin to come to her side. It's already pointed on Zou that the Yonkous would behave that way. Especially now that it appears they are aware of the significance of the red poneglyphs. It would make sense since they are keeping them. It also made sense since Big Mom gave the order to capture them while the Enraged Army really wanted to murder them.

Nami will be taken without problems and I think Jimbei is gonna show soon offering whoever is dragging Luffy to let him do it. Luffy will calm down and Jimbei will also say his goodbyes to Luffy. Stating that he also can't escape Big Mom's grasps. I can just imagine how enraged Luffy will be when he realizes that Big Mom is slowly robbing him off his nakamas, his dreams.

I think the major reason for that is because of Big Mom's Vivre card and the fact that most of the fodder soldiers (whom I assume were created the same way as Randal) couldn't fight properly because of it, which Big Mom's crew explicitly stated. If you notice, none of of the crew members with significant designs broke even a little bit of sweat fighting Luffy and Nami. If this were an even playing field, and everybody was at full strength, I think the circumstances would be a little bit different.

Holy shit what a dope chapter. One of the things I love most about One Piece is DF powers and other unorthodox fighting skills but this chapter had everything. Two awesome female characters (Amande and Smoothie), I think I saw about…..5 new DF powers this chapter off the top of my head? And poneglyph info to top it off.....beautiful. That panel of Luffy after getting blasted was epic. I told you Luffy was going to get captured and not get killed/saved.

This chapter was amazing. Good job coming through with the greatness after the break Oda.

Good job predicting the main character wouldn't get killed.
Could see Smoothie also having a mysterious third eye.

Very good chapter, worth the wait. This is just really wishful thinking on my end, but I really hope that Mont-D'or's book fruit (at least that what it looks like) gives him the ability to read the poneglyphs. Because god damn I want to know what those 3 poneglyphs say.

For any non-glutton that would've been a very tough battle. In fact it was still really tough. Stating that Luffy only won in one hit is overly simplistic.

Arabasta's holds the location of Pluto, Skypiea's the location of Poseidon and Joyboy's apology message in the depths of the sea… i don't see those being Rio Poneglyph. If the latter would have directly explained the use of Noah, then perhaps it could fit.
