Currently watching the 4th season of Boku no Hero Academia and Shin Chuuka Ichiban.
I used to watch the later in my childhood and was a bit upset with the way it ended. Can't be more grateful that it's getting a proper continuation!

Finally able to test drive with my dub wheels installed. I'm very pleased and satisfied.

Finished watching Angel Beats for the first time. Very funny and, at times, emotional anime, but I agree with the general consensus that it really needed more episodes to flesh out its characters.
! The show has a fairly large cast and 13 episodes just wasn't enough to do them all justice. I would have loved to learn more about TK and Noda and Sheena and the other girls from the rock band.
! The two big emotional moments for me were Yuri and Kanade's departures. I must be an oblivious, though, because I never picked up on the fact that they were building a romance between Otonashi and Kanade. Of course, it didn't help that Kanade looks like she's 10 years old (Dammit Japan!)
! Still, good series. Glad I watched it. Don't know if the light novels go into more detail with the characters, but if they do I hope we get a full adaptation some day.
! Oh yeah, and I saw the OVAs. They're pretty good fluff pieces, but I prefer Hell's Kitchen. -

Bungo Stray Dogs has a good story and if you are a literature geek like me is full of references. Alas, i don’t know if the anime if worth watching.

3 hours is kind of lowballing it a bit I think. Baseball doesn't have a time limit like a lot of other sports so the game just takes as long as it takes. Once you start getting into extra innings like if the score is tied games can last 5+ hours. One of the World Series games from 2018 lasted 7.5 hours for instance. Baseball's not that hard to understand either unless you start getting into all the technical aspects (which is really an issue in any sport). But just knowing how the game is played is pretty simple. I think it's more straightforward than American Football at least.

Been meaning to watch Bubblegum Crisis for a while but now that I am I'm not really finding it that compelling. Seems to be every 80s OVA stereotype thrown into one series. It's got good art and animation but at times the actual choreography of what's going on could be done better. It's one of the few series OVAs too that I've seen that stray from the standard 30 minutes too (though I know others exist). I'm also watching the Alien 9 OVA. I've already read the manga but I always hear good things about the OVA. So far it is good too. The soundtrack is really well done especially. It's some crazy off kilter stuff that fits perfects. Kind of annoyed that the alien tendrils are CGI but that's the only CGI I've noticed so far. It's also a shame that it doesn't adapt the entire manga. They only would have needed another like 2 episodes too I think.

I finished the third season of Psycho-Pass and man I hope they have some sort of continuation planned because aside from Kei selling his soul that was such a non-ending. I didn't even mind the cast change so much or the lighter, more procedural tone and I liked the stronger emphasis on martial arts over people popping like balloons, but the whole thing felt like it was trying to be too clever by half and I came away knowing almost nothing about why Akane's in jail or who the antagonists are other then that they're evil and exploiting anti-immigrant sentiment because…secret evil conspiracy! with hired mercs on the side.
Cool opening though; at least the franchise still has that going for it.

Two kind of random choices, but I've been watching K-On! and Haikyu!! (though, interestingly, they both have exclamation marks in their titles)
K-On is a fairly typical cutesy anime. Not a terribly engrossing premise, but there's enough humor and fun that it's a nice enough watch. The music kicks ass if nothing. Also, Mio is best girl.
Come to think of it, I think Haikyu! might be the first sports anime/manga I've ever sat down and watched. It's pretty good so far and I am enjoying it more than K-On! What's nice is that it follows a lot of the standard shonen tropes, while still feeling pretty down to earth. I especially like how (so far at least) they haven't haven't portrayed any of the opposing players as over-the-top jerks or bullies who are unambiguously "evil". They just feel like normal high school kids who trash talk a bit, just like normal high school kids would. That said, it's not the most tense or dramatic show, but still pretty fun.

I finally finished Vinland and Dr. Stone last week. Caught up to Boruto and OP 4 days ago. Caught up to Blade of the Immortal today. I have to finish Enen because I know the season finished some time ago and I still have to catch up to My Hero, which is like 10 episodes in

The last episode of Bubblegum Crisis was by far the best one. And that's good because it's also the longest. Overall not much of a fan though. Probably gonna watch Doremi Sharp or Xabungle next. Was going to watch Ginguiser since it's apparently hilariously over the top but it isn't fully subbed yet.

"Ascendance of a Bookworm" is pretty harsh if you think about it. Not in the Re:Zero-dying-all-the-time kind of way, but more emotionally, at least for me.
! Right in the first scene a little girl dies and is replaced with another person. Ok her memories stay but we hear her vanish… Then after a few episodes a former friend of that girl kind of figures what is going on and gets cold to the new person/protagonist. I'm at episode 8(?) or so and I love it.
! And most importantly, the god put the bookloving woman in a place where books are seldom af. Pettiness in a scale of a greek god. -
Finished Xabungle. Kind of dragged at times or felt unfocused but overall really good, especially for how silly its tone was the entire way through. Lots of fourth wall breaking. I liked the second second type of mech they get, the Gallier, more than the Xabungle. Finally getting a landship mech vs landship mech battle was really satisfying too. Started Brain Powerd too, which was apparently Tomino's response to Evangelion. I heard it's really strange and surreal and so far it's living up to that. The way the mechs just float is really cool and kind of a fresh take compared to having thrusters. They're also sentient to some extent. The soundtrack is the best part so far probably. Really eerie.
Edit: Brain Powerd's aesthetic is really addictive. I'm not sure how I feel overall about the show so far but it hits all the right buttons with me with how it's portrayed.

Watching Terra Formas and it's really good anime. It's good in the sense that you get exactly what you pay for. Genetically modified people with animal-based powers fight huge mutant cockroaches on Mars. Hell yeah? Over the top concepts that just don't give a damn are the best. if you like anime action and sci-fi, surely Terra formars will at least please you, otherwise I would not recommend it highly.

As far as the current season goes anyone who's remotely interested in art, animation, or just the creative process in general owes it to themselves to watch Eizouken. It's such a joy to watch and the adaptation's being handled by Masaaki Yuasa's studio so the visuals are a treat.
I've also been watching ID: Invaded and while I hesitate to call it "good" (it puts nearly every find-the-serial-killer cop show and sci-fi cop show cliché into a blender and only three, maybe four characters have a personality or something resembling a personality) it's certainly been keeping me on the edge of my seat. Just dumb enough to work so far.

No Jojo, Dr. Stone or Vinland Saga, and yet, the season has some intriguing stuff to offer. Eizouken (what a treat), Heya Camp (we needed comfiness in the winter season) and Somali.
Interspecies reviewers is awesome as hell with its grown up consensual sex attitude and Rikei, Shield Maid Kaede and Isekai Quartet 2 are just fun all around.

Eizouken is being a delightful series. Might even buy a english Blu-ray if it's ever released. And I don't own a blu-ray player.

For the first two arcs, I say just avoid them and instead watch the movies. The movies are awful, sure, but you can get it over with much faster this way.
For the third arc, I don't know. Never watched it, never cared to, but people seem to like it.
And for the last, I think it is totally worth it. At its worst it is silly and bad in a harmless way, but at its best is legit fun and good fanservice because why not.

SO people who are watching Dorohedoro anime, is it worth? How fluid is the animation? How fast should i expect to get used to the cgi models?

Well obviously because it's CGI it's easier to do fluid animation than with 2D. The problem is anime CGI usually has a pretty low framerate and it sticks out. I think it looks pretty good though. And it switches between CGI and 2D more than something like Houseki no Kuni. And it's gotten better since the first couple of episodes. If you're a person that just completely hates CGI you probably won't like it but if you were fine with Houseki no Kuni or Beastars you should be fine with this even though it's a step lower than what Orange is doing. The soundtrack is great too. They are kind of streamlining things though so it doesn't adapt every panel/moment from the manga.

As long it doesn’t look as clunky as the latest Berserk anime I think I can give a try. But they better not cut the baseball game, I need my cute Ebisu in a shark costume.

Anyway, figured I'd chime in and mention just how similar Railgun 3's opening sounds to Accel World's opening back from 2012.
Unfortunately I've scaled down quite a bit on my anime watching in the last few months/years so these days I'm trying to hand-pick certain quality series. And after the disappointment that is Index 3 I'm both cautious and optimistic about Railgun. Cautious because I don't want to experience the same– pardon my French-- shit show that Index 3 ended up being, and optimistic because I just can't see JC Staff making such a huge mistake again.
And other than that and the occasional Haikyuu episode I'm really not watching much else currently.

Eizouken has been an absolute bliss. I need the BD, and then need to get a BD player for my pc. Unfortunately I will have to wait for a western release of it.

I'm not really watching anything this season.
Last season Dorohedoro was the best for me (ridiculous plot, violence, and magic) but Eizouken was probably the big surprise everyone loved. For people that like Ghibli and learning about how anime is made.
Season 4 of both Haikyuu! and My Hero Academia.
They redid Re: Zero Kara as 1 hour episodes which was going to lead into season 2 this season but it got postponed to the summer. -

Gonna echo Zeorns opinion, i liked Dorohedoro and Eizouken the most and Hero Academia and Haikyuu were a lot of fun too.
Regarding this season … Most people seem to like Tower of god. So far it seems pretty good imo.
BNA is the new Trigger anime, i thought the first episode was alright.
Sing "yesterday" for me is my favourite right now. It's slice of life/Drama if you're into that.
And the new Kaguya-sama season started and it's fun as usual.Seems like an "okay" season to me.

I watched all of Mononoke since it was on youtube. And no, not Princess Mononoke.

With One Piece and everything else going on hiatus I've decided to revisit a few shows from around the late 00s/early 10s. Some will be rewatches, some will be shows that I started but never got around to finishing for whatever reason, or simply shows that I always wanted to check out but never got around to.
First I've started rewatching the Darker Than Black anime, a kinda sci-fi noir story whose particular brand of sci-fi setting, where things are mostly normal except for the parts that aren't, is right up my alley. I watched this back in college, so I remember the broad strokes of the plot and characters but not the fine details. So far I've enjoyed it; it's broken up into little episodic two-parters that gradually feed you more information about the setting and characters and allows a fair amount of flexibility in storytelling. It's a little more hand-wavey than I remember but I'm 100% fine if a setting like this isn't 100% willing to give up all its secrets. Has a nice, moody soundtrack by Yoko Kanno too, though from what I remember it sadly goes away, along with the episodic storytelling, in the second season. Speaking of, I really hope the OVAs and second season make more sense now that I'm a more discerning viewer and that I'll be watching them all in chronological order one-after-the-other this time around.

Speaking of rewatching, I've been rewatching Sailor Moon, a show I haven't watched since I was a kid. And now I'm watching the full unedited non-DIC version.
It's…not exactly the best in terms of writing, and the recycled animation can get annoying, but it's still a fun cute show. And now I can get get closure by watching that final arc they never aired on Toonami.
EDIT: Also, Luna is by far the most relatable character on the show.
