We also have the brief flashback (where Ichiji was more brutal), and Sanji's reactions to Ichiji and Niji? Forget those? One of which is the subject of conversation?
I mean there really isn't an argument to be made in the first place with how Sanji reacted unless you are bad at recognizing human body language? Because Oda drew a stressed/scared person. Looking at his y'know…face? And his y'know...crossed arms?

Luffy is the main protagonist who the manga has been following as the main focus for nearly 20 years and you actually think some mook that was introduced a few weeks ago is going to "roflstomp" him?
