Nevertheless, her concept and background of someone become truly strong, pretty and unique after enduring such bullshit torture and trauma is something that makes me really respect that character.

The Fisher Tiger story was kinda meh, but the Koala part was great, that part were Koala got her sun tattoo to hide the slave marking was great.

Urgh; I have absolute respect for Curly Dadan herself; truly a gutsy woman indeed, but Noqanky's comment really hit me about how far Koala came and I suddenly find myself agreeing with the comment about Koala being far more interesting a character than Sabo. This is a tough call!
I mean, full disclosure, Dadan is pretty awesome and would be an automatic vote for me in most matches. Different from the traditional Oda woman and a fantastic mother and leader in her own way.
It's just, in this one I just happen to like Koala a lot more. In part because Dadan's role at the moment is background support whereas there's still room for the story to have Koala rise to her potential. I want to see her avenge Fisher Tiger and live up to the tattoo on her back. Also her knowing fishman karate and teaching it gives me hope of her actually coming through as a decently strong character who won't get Tashigi'd.

Um, she goes on assignments with Sabo who's chief of staff, and she has also visibly interacted with Dragon, the leader of the entire revolutionary army, on an extremely familiar basis. She's definitely one of the higher ups.
