I can't seem to find any torrents for this anime… well I have but they don't work. Seems the scarywater one is the only one I can find and it doesn't work.

Slam Dunk is a waste of time, Hajime no Ippo is decent but not the best, and Prince of Tennis is time I'll never be able to get back in my life.

I have read the first volume of Eyeshield and it's okey I guess - it's one the better series in the Shounen Jump right now, thanks to Hiruma.
I love this sieres its soooooooooo cool, At first I thought " a manga about football? pffftttttttt give me a break, this is a waste of time but then one day I was bored and read the first 5 chapters and I saw how original the charecters are, and I really like how they did the whole super hero thing to football, but man I now I just read it for Hiruma, he is sooooooooo cool
When I watched it, I had no idea what it was about. The first episode started playing, and I was like, "Football?! WTF? No way is this going to be any good!" But… well, I had the first episode, and I didn't want it to be a waste, so I watched it.
And I've been hooked ever since.
Eyeshield 21 is the only sports series that I actually got interested in and stayed with.

Well the latest translated anime is when the Devil Bats are facing the Sphinx, but the latest raw is Sena vs Panther….I think.
So I have no idea where the manga is, they probably beaten the Aliens and went to the championship or something.

i love Eyeshieldo, one of my favorite sports animes, but I liked Ippo alot too, since im a huge fighting fan

(other favorites include Hajime no Ippo, Slam Dunk!, Prince of Tennis, and Mr. Fullswing)

Current manga: They are currently playing against the Bandou Spiders for the last slot in the Kantou tournament, against the kicker Koutarou and a guy I won't revel for spoilers.
Eyeshield 21 is a fantastic sports manga. I dunno if I'd call it the greatest sports manga ever, but it definitely ranks up there in the top 5. It did what I thought was impossible: it made a testosterone-poisioned sport like football interesting and fun. And yes, Hiruma is largely responsible for that. But Sena is a good main character, he doesn't stay wimpy and annoying for long.

man, the anime is just too full of cliches. the story of panther is so shitty, with his mother and all, it sounds like the past of that girl in school rumble which do lutte but in this case IT'S A JOKE.
man E21's character development simply sucks and is clearly directed to very young people imo. is it the same with the manga?
i'll keep watching it because kimura is an interesting character but hell, sometimes it's hard.

The story's comedy is hilarious, but I also like the characters and the action. I played football a little bit back, and it brought back some good memories. Ah, now I wish I went for Varsity in the fall..

Hahaha, everyone likes Juumonji. From the way he's handled, I kinda wonder if the manga-ka's are grooming him to be the next captain. And Taki Natsuhiko is just a gas. He recently got his own shining moment in the SJ manga. (you played football? Then this is especially entertaining for you I imagine!)
I was re-reading the tankoubon the other day, and I picked up something I hadn't before (during the days of furigana-reading only). The America match against the Nasa Aliens (I laughed at seeing a NASA highschool) actually dealt with racism! (in this case, a caucasian coach treating the sole African-American like trash)
And yeah, I hear that the anime doesn't do justice to the manga at all.
I heard that the anime really, really downplays the coach's racism. Like, they say the reason he doesn't let Panther play is because "he messed up one play really bad one time." That's on the 4Kids level.
i have watched the anime a bit but the manga is waay better. The animations is relly poor and it just looks like a 4kids thing.
But the music. I really love it. Especially when sena does some some superrush like when he did devilbatdive at the sphinx match. the voices are really grate too.
I just watched the latest subbed episode and sometimes the animation is really good. the fight between Panther and Sena is so good.
