The Braves still haven't actually started yet.
Those three errors today aside, it's been really fun watching the Red Sox going Super Saiyan on this homestand. I'm pulling for Bradley Jr. to break the franchise hitting streak record, which I think is something like 27?
I wonder which teams will blow their potential down he stretch missing the playoffs in the process of emphatically choke come the playoffs.

Rangers started all that shit when they beaned Bautista on his final at bat of the series for revenge because of the bat flip in the playoffs and because they were too cowardly to do that in the first at bat of the series. Even more fucked up was that Matt Bush, who wasn't even with the Rangers last year due to being in prison, was put in the position to do that.
The fact that Bautista shrugged off the punch like it was nothing and had it not been Beltre saving his teammate Odor would probably have been a stain on the grass. Wouldn't be surprised if Odor gets a big suspension
I normally don't care much about the Blue Jays or the Rangers, but that was a fantastic punch/brawl. You normally don't see that kind of rivalry/revenge/heat outside the Red Sox and Yankees. I give serious props to Bautista for taking it "like a man."
I realize this is college baseball rather than MLB, but how often do you see a triple steal at any level?
Checked MLB.com after getting off of work and my face lit up at seeing Jackie Bradley Jr.'s hitting streak continue, then it fell when I saw what happened next. Go away Buchholtz. Just go far, far away.
The Nationals-Mets rivalry is gonna be very fun to watch this year. Hopefully they'll both make the playoffs
The Red Sox-Yankees rivalry is already fun, it'll be fun to have another rivalry blossom in the league.
Well, we barely survived the Great Clay Buchholtz Reliever Experiment. Honestly, the bullpen's still too close for comfort. Send him to Saturn instead.
Rooting for Bogaerts' hitting streak to match or beat Bradley Jr.'s.
Red Sox v Orioles rd 2 tomorrow. Could see different results now that the sox are hot and the Orioles not so much. The birds need to get their bats in gear.
The Nationals are steady, the Giants are rising, the Mets are unpredictable, and the Cubs are looking mortal. Meanwhile in the AL the Orioles, Indians, and Rangers are displaying their dominance with comparatively less press attention. Looking forward to what the next half of the season has in store, and I hope it's just as fun.
The Cubs-Pirates game tonight ended in a rain delayed tie. The first since 2005, the first for the Pirates since 1998, and the first for the Cubs since 1993.
MLB
We seem to be having a lot of rain delay problems for playoff impacting games this year. Detroit and Cleveland already had one postponed that might not get played if it won't matter. Orioles at Yankees series is under threat of delay all three games, and they're currently playing in pretty lousy conditions. They really should give a bit more leeway of time before the playoffs start, all these delays and tiebreakers make things difficult. Was reading an ESPN article and they laid out a scenario where Detroit could end up playing 5 games in 5 nights in 5 different cities.
I wonder which teams will blow their potential down he stretch missing the playoffs in the process of emphatically choke come the playoffs.
It's the Cubs. It's always the Cubs. It's not a matter of if, it's only a matter of when. And when they do choke in hilarious fashion, I will once again dance in the tears of Cubs fans, and it will be glorious.
The White Sox front office is infuriates me. You would think that reason would tell them to fire Ventura, but no. They seem content with mediocrity.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Nats crashed hard in the playoffs since their best players are dropping like flies
And the Mets managed to get back in the postseason; I'd love it if they swept the Cubs again.
Win for Vin baybay.

Thanks for reminding of the wonky grammar I used in that comment. But self deprecation aside (and a bit belated) the yanks
blew their postseason chances again….unsurprisingly.
It looks like the White Sox are going to replace Ventera with bench coach Rick Renteria. They're expected to make an announcement on Monday. Whether the ChiSox opt to go for a rebuild, or somewhere in between, remains to be seen.
Bumgarner continues his postseason immortality. As a Dodgers fan I hate the Giants and his whole "tough guy that bumps into you at the club and says "WHAT?! WHAT?!" attitude", but he is pretty damn good.
This is David Ortiz's last season, so we'd better damn win the ALDS.
Nooo why are the giants still heeere
Let someone else win the World Series pleeeez
Though I'm not much of a Cubs fan either so I'm not really sure who to root for :ninja:

Really hoping the power of Vin Scully cancels out the Giants and their even year luck.
Bumgarner has ice in his veins. Giants vs Cubs is gonna be one hell of a series. And I hope the Giants stomp a mudhole in the collective asses of the Cubs, much to my enjoyment.
And so the looming shadow of the Even Year Giants begins to reform, spreading wonder and terror in the hearts of all baseball fans.
So all the remaining teams have pretty reasonable storylines to run with.
Red Sox: Win in Ortiz's final year.
Dodgers: Win in Vin Scully's final year.
Cleveland: Believeland, add to LeBron's ending of "God Hates Cleveland," and the added bonus of Francona getting revenge on the Red Sox after their ugly smear campaign against him.
Cubs: The most obvious, break the curse and the suffering.
Giants: Continue their post-season dominance in even years.
Jays: It's freaking Canada, and they have a super fun team.
Rangers: Finally break through after continually coming up short.
Nationals are the only one that is hard for me to figure out. Maybe the crowning of Bryce Harper and winning with such a banged up team.
We freaking cut Ortiz's image into Fenway field. We BETTER damn win this.

The Nationals could be seen as a similar story to the Cubs; Washington hasn't won a World Series since 1924 and the current Nationals/Expos have never even been there. Though I guess the Nationals advancing to the second round (which you are definitely no fan of) could be seen as monumental enough.

That makes sense, thanks.
And as we speak Kershaw struggled a bit (sadly as a Doyers fan) and the Sox are getting pounded.
Great games from both NL games today, especially the Cueto/Lester PITCHING WAR in the Cubs/Giants
Fuck you, Baez.
Fuck.
You.
I wonder which NLDS game will end with the Nats losing in a ridiculous way
Fuck you, Baez.
Fuck.
You.
The high winds barely kept that in the park, just like that Posey hit in the Ninth kept that hit from being a homerun
Goddammit, Red Sox. You're better than this.
Goddammit, Red Sox. You're better than this.
Yeah they are….....and then they're not:ninja:
First the Redskins actually win, then the Nats tie the series
Today is a good, good day
"I would rather be punched in May than be knocked out in October"
That and the fact that it was Odor causing the error must be even sweeter for Toronto to move on.
Waiting for that even year magic to kick in, Giants. Don't let me down.
The Giants bullpen is absolutely abysmal. Fuck my life, it's hard being a White Sox fan right now. It's up to either the Nationals or Dodgers to topple The Evil Northside Empire.
I actually felt Kershaw gutted it out quite a bit. That last inning was iffy, but Seager should have made that play at second. Either way it was good to see us play through it and get the win, but it looks like they will have to decide between Urias and Hill on low rest. It's probably going to be an all hands on deck situation.
And whoa, the Cubs pulled off quite the comeback. Chapman looked unhittable.
I wouldn't mind the Cubs winning. We are all too familiar with the pain of a curse.

Cubs vs. Indians would be a neat World Series if only to see which curse is stronger.

That'd be hella cruel especially if the team with the series lead beat the losers in their hometown.
That'd be hella cruel especially if the team with the series lead beat the losers in their hometown.
For added misery, the home team loses every game.
Wow that was tense, Kershaw with the save of all things. Los Doyers are headed to–-oh fuck the Cubs are gonna kill us lol.
If there's one thing I'm impressed with for the Nationals, it's that they didn't lose the NLDS in THAT ridiculous a fashion. Progress, baby; we'll be back in 2018 I guess :ninja:
I'd be rooting for the Dodgers to win it all now, but the fact that all three of their wins have Kershaw's name attached to them doesn't really bode well…
Well my Dodgers are down 0-1 to Cubs so series is probs over but if anything with this team I have learned to never give up
That was so freaking nerve-wracking lol. Really happy seeing Kershaw put in an awesome performance though, that last flyout at the end of the 7th almost killed me.
Rich Hill and the Dodger bats were EN FUEGO tonight
