I hope the announcement is the anime return, SP has to basically pull a Madhouse and attempt to make the Final War as memorable as possible.
SP can be good if they want to(They made Hisagi vs Finder miles better than in the manga).

The anime fillers were generally better than the actual manga anyway, so I'd be fine with the anime returning.
I hope there's no sequel, bad enough Naruto is being dragged out forever with spinoff bait. Let Bleach die and move on. Ass Class had the decency to be its proper length and no longer.
ANd next week, an all out color spread! So what, 4 characters on a white background?
The best part of the anime was the Shinigami Cup and you can't convince me otherwise.
Maybe Kubo will try to do Film-Z-all-the-marines-type spread with "all" relevant characters.

They should bring it back, to know more about the characters(specially the Sternritters)..
Kubo originally established that divisions specialize in certain tasks, and while he hasn't used that recently (though some of the 0th squad members definitely were consistent with it) or fleshed that out at all for most divisions, he definitely did so for Isane's and Ikkaku's (Kenpachi's) divisions. I cannot really think of any other character but Isane for who it'd make sense to lead a healing-focused division, while Ikkaku switching divisions just for a captain seat would go not really fit his past characterization either.
Hm yeah. Oh well, not like it's gonna have any sort of impact.
lol who are these goobers
Anyway, ten years is quite the timeskip, enough that I had to go back and reread to make sure I didn't imagine it since every acts like it's only been a year, two tops. So what, is the final chapter going to be about 27 year-old Ichigo accepting that his abortive life as a would-be shonen hero is over and there's nothing but a clockwork salaryman life ahead of him?
I hope that Isane and Iba are the main characters of Bleach 2: Electric Kuboloo
then they'll get to job, be unimportant, and get more screentime!
I expected nothing and I'm still let down.
…well that's not exactly true. I expected shenanigans and I got a what seemed to be Kubo going step-by-step giving each character a last moment, kind of trying to resolve their stories with mixed success. I'm going to list my complaints and one compliment in spoilers cause it goes a little long.
! -Hey, Shunsui drinking at his old friends grave. I love these kinds of scenes in manga endings. It'd help if I liked these guys better, but I've going by reduced standards here.
! -Ironically, Mayuri's scene was boring.
! -Kenpachi says that Yachiru "ain't around no more so I can't get lost." What does that mean. Did Yachiru die? Isn't she your bankai spirit now? Did she ever exist, or did Kubo kill a children character off screen? This sucks. I don't feel anything for it, but it sucks.
! -It's weird that Momo is getting so little screen time in what must be her scene, since there's no other important characters there. Just one waste of space "captain in name only" who talked big but never did anything. You wasted a page on these guys.
! -Speaking of that, I actually love that Iba got promoted. I love this guy. A hard working, straight shooter who keeps his friends on the the right path. You complain we never got to see his shikai? I know what it is. It's being god damned Tetsuzaemon Iba. On that note, it'd be nice to see Komamura though. Or maybe, show someone remembering his sacrifice?
! -Hey, Rukia is a captain. Neat. Now I'm a little jaded, but considering the state of the Gotei 13, is this really such a stretch? They're in a sorry state. She deserved it more then any of the Visored captains, anyway.
! -Speaking of those guys, shut up Kinsei! You don't get the right to make fun of Shuuhei when he's contributed more to the story then you. By the way Kubo, you wanted a few of your precious last pages joking about how Shuuhei was useless. Was punchline really worth it?
! -Yeah, Ichigo is probably coming back next chapter, and you want us to think it's an enemy. I assume we're going to be dealing with Ichigo's friends and Squad 0 next chapter? Squad 0 is mostly dead isn't it. It's tough to keep track.

I don't know if this was posted or not but here is a list of every unresolved plot point in the whole series. Next chapter better be great, right guys?
That was pretty… Sad and heart hurting to see whole plots being sacrificed for this last ruin.
However a whole banana basket for the man who's been able to disappoint over what I tought it was disappointing. Seriously men this was an entirely nee Naruto ending shame level!

Wasn't there something about how time flies differently from Earth? I feel like the last time skip had more time pass in the Seireitei than for Ichigo.

Ohhhh, redux of the Quincy Encyclopedia. Haschwald fills in for Gin/Ryuken and explains everyone's shrift. :D

I love how the segment of the episode where Gin died had the stage crew carting off the set pieces and throwing him out into an alley.
Maybe Kubo will try to do Film-Z-all-the-marines-type spread with "all" relevant characters.
Of course he will do just that, because captains uniforms are black and white and its gonna make the job of a full colorspread that much easier for tired kubo sensei.:ninja:
This whole thing comes across as a fake future created specifically to dick with Renji. Just look at the people involved and how they're connected to him.
"Hey, man, those last ten years of your life? ALL A LIE."
I've seen predictions that the series will end with Bach killing everyone in their happiest moment (here), cue continuation where Ichigo and friends have to stop him in the multiverse.
I would give kubo mad respek if next chapter ywach returns, kills everybody and we end the manga with the bad guy winning. Sure its dumb too, but the series was butchered beyond belief anyway for years already, why not go out with an unexpected bang and shit over all your fanbase for good. xD
In the final chapter, whoever kills everyone will be revealed to be Kubo itself.
Also, next chapter we have to see who was the closest guesser to the final chapter count, but aside from that, prediction time:
Will one of the characters have kids a la Naruto?
Chad, ichigo and orihime as well as Ishida all will have kids. Ishidas and ichigos kids will have a rivalry/hatred towards each other with tsundere romantic feelings underneath. xD
I came back to shore thinking today was the last chapter, and then I read last weeks chapter and this.
There are no words to describe how I'm feeling at the moment. Just such a clusterfuck of panels and events that have no rhyme or reason, and all I can do is laugh on the inside like Jesse Cox. I wasn't sure what to expect of Bleach in the last few chapters, but this wouldn't have even come onto my radar. And the fact they are trying to make it seem like more will happen is so weird. If Kubo does go the route of just having everyone in the world get screwed, I'll applaud him for that.
That goo is probably just Aizen coming back and becoming new Soul King, because anything goes it seems so why the hell not. XD
The former designs are far better.

I read this, then I look at your avatar. Great combo.

I didn't even think about that. Now you have made my day, and I thank you for that.

The only way that would work is if the final page afterwards is a picture of Kubo mooning the viewer while using a crazy straw to drink from a cup that says "Bleach fans' tears."
When Bleach finally ends I think I will write some articles for Applied Logic called "What Could/Should Have Happened". It would detail things I think could have been done better, or should have happened instead.

I think it was suppose to be a hint that Ukitake was still around in some form or fashion. He bonded with Mimihagi before it was pulled out. It was Mimihagi that gave Yhwatch the black goo powers (correct me if I am wrong on this one), so when the black goo appears at Ukitake's grave it seems to portend a possible survival for him.

That's troll-ish/stupid enough given the scene at Ukitake's grave this chapter to be what Kubo would do.
Ukitake as black goo: "Hey Shunsui, psych! You thought I was dead for the last 10 years, but I was just napping. Hahaha, you should see the look on your face!"
Old Bleach had personality, better and more varied designs, more detail and backgrounds. Also just look at his earlier color spreads and compare them to the recent ones. Night and Day in terms of creativity.

Definitely agreed on the backgrounds/colorspreads.
I think my favorite stretch of Kubo art was end of the SS to the beginning of Hueco Mundo?
Oh my glob, wtf? A perfect end? Tite's trolling display is truly a masterpiece. I got no words.
Was listening to this:
And damn that brought soo many memories of me and my bro enjoying the shit outta the earlier parts of Bleach( anime) . And so in preparation of Bleach ending next week, i am going to watch the show from the beginning up to end of Aizen arc.
Oh the memories. I still remember the days when I first got internet and used to download bleach episodes on limewire, lol. I was a huge fan of the bleach anime, and while I already liked the one piece episodes that were running on tv, the style, music, the visuals and bloody battles in the souls society arc just were way more appealing to me than op as a teenager. Although at this point I think op grabbed me pretty hard with the arlong park arc.
We have two weeks till last chapter, I planned to rewatch bleach up to end of soul society at least for a long time now, to see if it still holds up, so I am gonna do it in these two weeks. ;)

Ukitake as black goo: "Hey Shunsui, psych! You thought I was dead for the last 10 years, but I was just napping. Hahaha, you should see the look on your face!"
I remember there was mini chapter where they all went to beach and make a competition about art or something like that, where both kuchiki made an identical sand doll, where i forgot who was build a castle and the winner is those from 13th division where they put a sand and flowers in a sleeping Ukitake, made like he just died and it is his grave. Lol
The whole Yachiru thing still infuriates me to the point of turning caps lock on and smashing my keyboard.
Another thing that bothered me was Kensei and Rose being resurrected, which gave a big hit to the Shinigami deaths in this arc. The deaths that occurred (or should have) as the result of the Sternritter actually being powerful enough to win battles were all reversed: Byakuya, Hitsugaya, Matsumoto, Kensei, and Rose.
That leaves these deaths:
By the way, what about Kira? Did he survived the Space Flamingos?
I'm still convinced that the "World of the Living" is the actual afterlife and Soul Society is the real world.
You know, I was wondering. People like to complain about op not having enough deaths, but can you name a single death in the entire bleach series that was moving and well done? Of a well developed character I might add. I certainly can't come up with any. Stil remember those comments from op haters saying that bleach is so much cooler, cause it's bloody and ppl die, lol.

The closest I can think of is Kaien's death in Rukia's flashback, but that still pales in comparison to any flashback death in One Piece. Of course it's been ages so maybe I'm just being nostalgic.
And Ichigo's resemblance to Kaien is another plot thread that didn't add up to anything.
Yeah, I can remember every single flashback death in op, cause those pretty much always hit you really hard, but Kaien, not so much. I forgot he existed to be honest. :ninja:
If only Byakuya had really died by the hands of Ass Nuts, probably it would have been one of the most memorable death in Bleach.
By the way, what about Kira? Did he survived the Space Flamingos?
just like Chad, he's still fighting
The Space Owl-Flamingos have probably adapted and became just an annoying pest species no better than rats.
@Kaido:
- Komamura: Immediately used a sacrificial trump card to take out one person
Not even an important one at that. Hell, they even immediately revived her just so she could lose to Chuhlhourne of all people.
Chad fighting those statues for 10 years? He better be One Punch Chad next chapter.
He already is
Everyone can basically beat Chad in One Punch.
@Purple:

Chad is married to the Job.

And yet he still has a better record than Renji.
