Hey, as i was reading about i noticed that there are eight side stories in the manga, but only two has been shown in the anime, (buggy and koby) i was wondering if they might put the other sides stories in the anime soon?
Side stories

I doubt it very much the guys at Toei are some very lazy bastards
-
I sure hope so. But I think the reason that they haven't done any in a long time is because they thought the timing on Koby was a mistake. it was so random unlike Buggy who's side story was shown right before Lougetown where he returns. So they decided to only show side story episodes when the Anime is about to have them return. Then again, they failed to show Jango's side story before Alabasta. Which was a mistake.

seriously? damn i really want to see what happens with else, plus i'm sure people would like to see the manga's side stories in the anime instead of more fillers

well with Jango they can make his side story a flashback episode.

I think Toei stopped animating the side stories due to low ratings. Pity though, I'd love to see Jango's or Ms. Goldenweek's side stories animated. It'd be much better than sitting through shitty perverted filler, I'll tell you that much.
-
If they get to close the manga it would make a good filler. I think they might do the latest one and the Ace one due to the popularity of the characters.
-
I still think the best way to include those side stories is if they make them TV Specials. They can´t be worse then those ones we got (though Special 2 was cool IMO) plus it would be Oda material instead of Toei inhouse stuff with whiny children.
And making it a special wouldn´t actually chopp the main anime storytelling appart. They could actually just like know make a break of a couple of weeks and show the specials instead. In terms of episode numbers there wouldn´t be a break in the arc but in terms of airing stuff it would be in between which is actually a good solution IMO.
Same goes actually for all that filler crap. If Toei is so persistant about that, then they should make them as specials to. That way they would be aired at the same time as the anime but it wouldn´t chopp the anime cannon appart and would work indipendently as the other specials (and movies actually). But of course Toei think it is better to mix the fillers with manga cannon and ruin the great original stuff.

But the G8 and Memory filler arcs were pretty good, I think they've learned from their mistakes.
-
Yah! No more AFKS! (Annoying Filler Kid Syndrome)

Amen to that brother, amen.

What I don´t like about the G8 arc is that it is eleven friggin episodes long. Too long for a filler arc IMO. And the Memory Thief arc was kinda bleh IMO.
Don´t misunderstand that, I think that both filler arc have some interesting idea behind it. The idea that the Strawhats get seperated and work incognito at a marine base is a nice idea but nothing that has to be done that long.
And as far as losing the memory is concerned and go through some their first encounters again is also a nice idea by looking back at what everything has happened so far. But I think didn´t get everything out of this great idea. For instance if Oda would have thought of that he would have made it much more meaningful. It´s a good idea that could be much more then it was in the end. And what ruined it completely is that it chopped manga cannon appart unlike any other filler before. Thanks to it Aokiji doesn´t appear at Longring Longland and even worse Foxy loses some status in the anime because of that mutiny crap that happened and because he´s much more bothered to have lost against Luffy then it was the case in the manga.
Foxy loses much class in the anime thanks to the fillers.Either way good or bad the fillers really should be kept as specials. That way they don´t mess with the real cannon and still can show us some new adventures with our favorite heroes. That´s why I prefer movies and specials over any filler arc.

Wasn't the Apis arc 11 1/2 episodes long that really felt too long to me I mean I remember having episodes 51-60 & 61-70 & getting up to episode where the arc begans skipping all the episodes then moving on to the 60's and still finding out that the anime was on the Apis arc

Apis is about 5 or 6.

And they ARE.
With no room for Hatchi/Wapol/Ace/Gedatsu….to get a show in. -
Yeah, it would be cool if they made the side stories into fillers…
-
I thought some fillers were pretty good and others were just…....... I'd like to see all the side stories. At least there's the manga
-
What exactly is this "Apis" side story about? I've heard about it, but I have no clue. :/

Apis is a filler arc.

I know that. -_-
I wanted to know what the crap it's about.

No you don't.

That bad, huh?
What makes it so… where all OP fans want to avoid it?

Well, I personally liked the Apis Arc… but here's what the fans hated to my knowledge:
1. It delayed them getting to the grand line
2. Annoying kid
3. Zoro cutting metal, which people said was a plot hole
4. The dragons involved were boring and weak (even though no one bothered to cut the damn dragons some slack... -_- For god sake, THEY'RE OLD AND ABOUT TO DROP DEAD!)That's pretty much it...
-
Zoro also cut metal in the scene where Fullbody attemps to arrest the straw hats

Interesting…...

I thought Zoro learnt to cut STEEL in his fight with Mr.1, why couldn't he cut other metal before?
