Weren't the February Funimation solicitations already announced last week? Still no One Piece. Guess we're looking at March for 4th Voyage now :(
No. That isn’t the final list. Sometimes WTK just gets his hands on some early.

No, the full solicitations for the month won't be put up until around the 15th. It will be initially put up here:
Funimation's February releases are out. There is no new One Piece release.
Very very odd. Not super concerning yet, but if it doesn't show up in March then something is up. Glad Dragon Ball Super is finally getting another set though. I know it has to stay behind the Toonami airing, but it's still frustratingly slow.
I'm not too worry about it since just started working on Punk Hazard recently. I rather they take their time on the show.
This is very concerning, i am really hoping this is not the result of poor sales or anything of the sort
Daniel Baugh was recording pick ups last month for Jimbei, so Fishman Island is still being cleaned up

Stop worrying, the dub is always going to continue
Pretty mad about this. High hopes, but I’m praying they release episodes in the meantime on their streaming service.
So our mid Season 9 delay continues, I'd say at this rate just skip March and go for April and a 6 month release schedule
This isn't a big deal for the release of the series. We have longer wait for voyages all the way back in Season 1. Which we had a 5 month wait between Season 1, Voyage 2 and Season 1, Voyage 3.
Yeah, it is pretty frustrating to say the least. I know we'd never be caught up to the Japanese episodes, but at least with a new set every 2 months we were making so headway on catching up. Now 4 months later and still no new set (where as one should have been released in December and another in February) it seems like we are moving further behind again. It is probably just wishful thinking, but it would be nice if FUNimation releases two new sets in one month (sort of like they did for Season 6, Voyage 1 and 2) when they start releasing them again.
This is really bizarre and upsetting.
I would like to be optimistic and think that the reason for the delay was because they're busy dubbing some of the older movies or specials…or even that Project Dawn game.
If that were the reason, I wouldn't be upset with a four-month wait.

If they were dubbing a video game then all would be forgiven
I so hope they are dubbing either a game or some of the old movies and TV specials
I highly doubt it’s either of those. It’s probably just a slowdown in the release schedule. [emoji853]
agreed. I think we’re getting our hopes up here without any reason.
It’d be nice though , no lie. I really want to see movie 6 dubbed, or just released at all. It’s weird that they wouldn’t either , even if they’re old.
Funimation must have their reasons. I can't figure out why? But maybe its to dub as many OP titles as possible for the rest of 2018….

Honestly I don't understand why people are so worried about this. Funimation just hit the timeskip material and they are beginning to close the gap between the Japanese release. Also given how there's also a distinct gap between the Dragon Ball Super simulcast vs. Toonami vs. home media release it really comes down to Funimation pacing themselves. It's like we're going into the "Between S3-4" panic anytime the release schedule's consistency changes. I just sit back and wait. After the Gold TV Special release and the Gold Movie limited theatrical run earlier this year I don't see any logical reason for all this suspicion.

Careful not to generalize all the responses here. For me, I'm not "suspicious" but irritated. Seems like most of the comments above are curious as to the sudden delay, if anything. Keep in mind that this is a mid-season hiatus. So it's a little stranger than the usual "break between seasons." I think it warrants the questions, personally.

I don’t think anyone here is worried. Just impatient. I mean the releases are getting further and further apart. Its annoyed if anything.

I really think their workload is affecting their releases. I mean this page alone shows they're working on at least 18 series … and with VA schedules, the simuldub process, subbing process and everything else they've got going on it's got to have a ripple effect

I'm not trying to go panic mode, but they aren't closing the gap between the Japanese release at all with a 4 month delay. Even if they started releasing a set every 2 months without stopping(which won't happen), it still would take 2-3 years to catch up.
Either way, I think I'm just going to buy the movies and specials in the future unless FUNi really makes a effort with these releases in a more timely manner or at least explain their motives. I've got a good stopping place already owning everything pre time skip, so now is my best chance to get out before I get even more invested.

Stopping your support for the series wont help us get the movies, specials, or a more timely release of the episodes. Just saying.

Yeah that literally makes zero sense. I want this , so I’ll stop buying this , which directly influences the release for said release that isn’t even out yet.
While I'm irritated with the release schedule, I think Funi will do much better next year. In the meantime let's play the cast prediction game. Here are some of mine:
Big Mom - Linda Young
Caesar Clown - Sean Schemmel/Johnny Yong Bosch
Vergo - Kaiji Tang
Momonosuke - Wendee Lee
Kinemon - David Wald
Anyone else got any voice cast predictions? C'mon guys we need something to talk about other than release schedule speculation.

The only one of those that I could see happening is David Wald/Kinemon. The rest of those are all LA or NY VAs that pretty much only come to Funi to reprise roles or do bit parts. Linda Young is 65 and I would imagine she's trying to phase out of voice casting, she'll probably keep coming back to do Baba in Dragon Ball Super but I can't picture her taking on a very long term role like that.

Linda still does lots of voice acting for FUNi and she is honestly the best pick for Big Mom
I highly doubt it’s either of those. It’s probably just a slowdown in the release schedule. [emoji853]
Have we ever had a slowdown this big in the middle of a season before?
I'm just trying to be hopeful because if we're not getting a speedup and if we're not getting a simul-dub, at the very least we should have a good reason for a 4-month delay.
I know that dubbing games and licensing movies are out of their control, but for godsake, I would REALLY want Bandai and Toei to throw them a bone.

During Season 3 we had a big break between Season 3, Voyage 4, and Voyage 5.

wasn't that because the last voyage was the first time they recorded actual new material since the toonami broadcast?

I just checked and it was only a three month gap between S3V4 (January 25) and S3V5 (Aprill 11).
If there really isn't a new voyage in February, then we're looking at a four month wait for the last two sets in Season 9.

That's correct. The G-8 Arc started in S3V5. However, it's unknown whether that was the reason for it taking a bit longer to release.
They had better release those sets back to back , especially for that long wait.

Hopefully, at least some tv specials or anything.

From what I remember the G8 stuff was dubbed at the same time along with the rest of Season 3, and when Funimation announced the dub for it in 2007 they mentioned up to episode 205 was set to air on Toonami. Episode 143 was the last episode they dubbed before coming back with Season 4. That was like over a two-year gap!
Good. It shouldn’t have took as long as it did. But given the workload lately for them, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
Thank god. Finally some response. Does that mean March or April? Hopefully they do a back to back release, though I don't expect a special or movie as some of you are. The likelihood of that is extremely low.
Yeah back to back to back releases for the rest of fishman island would be ideal
Hey guys, the last set of DVD's I purchased was up to the end of Impel Down. Luffy and Jimbei had just escaped and we got episodes of what the other Straw Hats were up to.
Is that the last Voyage of the season? What collection might that be? I'm so far behind I figure I might as well get some collections for my catch up.
Edit:
457 starting at Season 8 and beyond is what I'm missing. Man I can't believe how far the Funimation dub has come!

That was the final volume of Season 7, and it's the first half of Collection 19. So you need to get Season 8, Voyage 1. Before you get Collection 20 and 21 (which covers the rest of Season 8).
Was scrolling through Funimation's twitter today and saw this flash up which looked remarkably like cover art:
I know it's just wishful thinking on my part, but wouldn't it be great if Funimation would start releasing dubs of Whole Cake Island next year alongside the DVD releases of Punk Hazard and Dressrosa.
Keep dreaming, my friend. The world needs dreamers like you.
FUNi has been posting a clip from WCI every single week for almost a month.
I for one am happy to see that they've stopped caring about such arbitrary stuff like spoilers and are willing to promote the current arc.
The new one piece game has been revealed coming to the West, and guess what yet again there will be no English Dub
