Next chapter we should get the samauris story…probably settling down the minds for the samurai to even explain themselves, on the last page reveal the state of their country as a cliffhanger before we get the details and the crews next move. Pekoms will be a nakama I'm calling it!! Law will see this as a chance too make the two yonkous clash!!
Actually, Luffy could theoretically "capture" Sanji while wearing some sort of disguise, thus, the blame would shift from Sanji to an "unindentified person".
Alternatively, forge Sanji's death. There's plenty of things that could be done.
Her intel's a little good for that… he'd still be with the Strawhats afterwards, after all.
I wonder how the minks will react to the Samurai, presumably negatively; but will they hate the straw hats outright? Im not so sure.
Though I think it's a tad strange how the monkey that spend literally days with the Samurai climbing up the elephant didn't find out about their situation. Like…did it just not come up? The day that your country is absolutely DESTROYED by Jack LOOKING for a Samurai, and you don't think to question when you come across two other samurai trying to get to Zou.
It seems a little contrived that he found out at the top. When he had days before where they both could straightend everything out.
i think the whole thing will be a red herring, and the minks after the initial shock will not turn against the samurais or the strawhats
I wonder how the minks will react to the Samurai, presumably negatively; but will they hate the straw hats outright? Im not so sure.

It didn't look to me he just found it out, but he was trying to keep it cool to not warn Kinnemon and Kanjurou something was weird. He just played along until they brought him up there and went to warn the others.
The samurais are going to ruin everything, aren't they?
I can't imagine her being happier with the wedding getting crashed and losing the groom than simply the groom not showing, or why she'd hold back, realistically speaking anyway.
Well she'd take it out on different people, aka whoever stopped the wedding
The kill your friends seems like it occurs only after to blowing off the invite
So long as sanji shows up, him not being married would fall on his head ( and maybe luffy's as well)
Her intel's a little good for that… he'd still be with the Strawhats afterwards, after all.
A war would break, but that's an eventuality anyway. With Kaidou out of question, that's not a problem.

Faking sanji's death woukdnt be a permanent solution, if there intel is good enough to know about kambakka kingdom than there information net must cast out pretty wide

Kin'emon did ask him about Raizou before.
If anything, both Kin'emon and kanjuro confirmed that a Samurai was on Zou after all.
So, I take the head in a present box thing was inspired by the horse's head in the bed from The Godfather?

It's not like Big Mom will permanently be an Emperor either.

This didn't happen, as soon as we see them he was already wary about them.
The children plays while Daddy, Mommy and Gramps keep an eye. Anyone else felt that?
Yep, I'll say it again. They jinxed themselves by calling themselves 'adults'. After all when we have a group of adults vs a group of immature teens, guess who is able to stay up all night and who falls asleep? ;)

But Pekoms is still loyal to Big mom, as he said now. Luffy would have to turn him agains't big mom before he blows his cover.
They could forge Sanji's death, but the second SH will fight with Kaidou and we will see newspapers with SH defeating kaidou or some of his men at least Big mom would know and send Sanji some ''heads''.
And even if , let's say Luffy takes the blame on him, Garp and Dragon are not the only close people to Luffy. He has the people from his Village, for example.
And if Luffy takes the blame on himself, he still has to deal with a full yonkous crew and allies himself, not to mention Big mom won't give up on Sanji even if Luffy takes the blame. Sanji himself won't accept to leave with the risk that Big mom would fiind out and gets his friend's heads.
And looking how hype works, Sanji will see how much of a monster Big mom is( and he had trouble even with Mingo) and know she's not to joke with.

By the time Big Mom found out, Kaido wouldn't be a problem anymore.
The only reason Luffy doesn't want a war now is because of Kaidou. Take Kaidou out and then he doesn't have to worry about pissing her off.
Remember, the idea here is just to delay a war with Big Mom until Kaidou gets defeated.
I don't get what Luffy is thinking.
The only way Luffy can keep Sanji in his crew is if he confronts Big Mom. There is no "stealth way" out of this. Either he accepts losing Sanji and settling his affairs with BM peacefully or he doesn't and he fights her (this way, Sanji and Purin could even marry if they want and still be part of the SH).
If he invades the wedding and kidnaps Sanji in the silent of the night, everyone will know it was him either way and it will lead to BM attacking the SH (or the ones they have connections with, what is much worse). If they are going to fight her anyways, the best course would be to launch a full assault against her at the Tea Party (if they can convince the minks and the Heart Pirates to help them, then this wedding will be the perfect chance they were hoping for to take BM down).
If Luffy let go of this chance, it will mean giving BM the initiative and what will he do if instead of going directly against the SH, she decides to attack Makino? Zeff? Kaya? He has to strike her down before she decides to act against them, not after.

The idea is just to take Kaidou out, and then tackle Big Mom.
If Luffy managed to get Sanji back unnoticed and beat Kaidou before BM found out, then there's no problem. Start the war.
The problem is having 2 Emperors after them. Big Mom becomes less of an issue if Kaidou is dealt with.
Also, the wedding would be the worst time to launch an assault, as it would be going against both Big Mom and the Germa 66.
Well I think the holes in the plan are visible… Probably the reality is that Oda has something in mind that doesn't require us thinking this is a good plan on its own lol
So Luffy goes to the Wedding and Zoro stays at Zou waiting for Jack.
Jack is being reserved for Luffy.
It's very well possible Luffy will have to fight Jack before getting off Zou. Law already foreshadowed the Beasts Pirates return.

A full assault is pretty much out of question anyway. The whole idea is to prevent a war against 2 Emperors.

That would only work if he didn't meddle with the wedding, that would be the only course to keep BM on hold while he dealt with Kaido. If he is going to interfere with the wedding anyway, the best would be to take the chance to take her down before Kaido goes against them. Right now he has Pekoms that can lead his crew to BM and he has the advantage of attacking her when she is not expecting.
After the Tea Party, the SH won't have the initiative anymore. Unless they get a vivre card that will lead them to BM (… yeah, Lola's maybe. But Luffy doesn't know it yet), they can't hunt her down later, so they will have to wait until she comes after them - and what if she decides to only do that after killing everyone they know in East Blue first?
I think Ive seen it said to gelma 66 instead of germa 66, what is right?
Also is that a soft g like giraffe or hard g like gatz.

This is the first time she passed out while on guard. For realsies.

You really think it's impossible for Luffy to meddle with the wedding without being found out? Dude fooled an entire country with a fake beard and a pair of sunglasses.
A full-blown assault, like the manga itself said, is out of question. Kaidou would just pick them off after they dealt with Big Mom.
Great chapter. I personally do not want to see the crew separated again.
If Kaido is already going after them, then the whole crew should go. I doubt Kaido and Big Mom are going to work together, so if the crew goes to the tea party and Kaido atacks anyway, then they could take advantage of 2 emperors fighting each other.
One thing that might happen is that the crew somehow actually talks to Zou himself and the elephant takes them to Big Mom. That way if Jack really does come back, he might have to deal with Big Mom as well.
Luffy and stealth just dont mix. He is going to be caught.
I also agree that it'll be a waste for the minks to fight against the crew when they find out about Kinemon. There are so many directions the story can go
And this robin 20 years hiding from the World Government?
The difference is that she trusts her crew. They probably set a turning guard, and Franky or Brooke didn't get it as it should…
Lol, do some of you guys really think Luffy is actually going to sneak in and take Sanji without the shit hitting the fan.
If you have read this series at all you should know plans never work out that way when Luffy is involved.

Maybe he is not found out in the moment, but eventually Big Mom will know. Maybe she only finds out Luffy was the one who kidnapped Sanji after he takes Kaido down, that's possible, but then what? Regardless of how long it takes for BM to blame Luffy on this, once she does, the innocent ones the SH know will be targeted by her and Luffy can not afford it. It's not like he has an spy on her crew who can report to him when she finally finds out he is guilty. It will be like leaving a tickling bomb away that will explode at any minute in the hands of innocent people the SH love.
Not to mention: how will Luffy track BM down later? Even if she doesn't find out he is guilty until he takes Kaido down, how he will attack her before she does anything? Pekoms will not be around to guide him to her then. She will have the initiative either way.
And regardless of all that, BM doesn't need to know it was Luffy who kidnapped Sanji in order to attack the ones related to Sanji. As soon as Sanji disappears, I am pretty the ones close to him will be targeted anyways. Unless they find someone to impersonate him… Where is Duval now?

Soft. It probably refers to something like "Saint Germain" as others have speculated.
And I think there's some intent with G-66 looking like 666…

Well he was relatively fine in impel down without buggy clowning around.
I wonder who tags along and screws it up.
Although it would be suicide for luffy to fight big mom and her crew plus the vinsmokes even if his entire crew came along with him, I wonder how oda will avoid the big fight this time
Also hope carrot tags along because that goves her a marginally better chance of joining :ninja:

I saw a bit of a star wars connection since oda is a big fan.
In the final prequel a predetermned code, sidious installed was called order 66 and progammed the clones to kill their jedi masters. Since betrayal is a big mafia theme too, i womder if theres a tie in.
There's going to be some Minks going after all the samurai stuff is cleared up. I don't really see Luffy going by himself. Zoro's coming btw. He'll probably say some crap like I'm going to hit him for doing what he did last chapter.
Jack is being reserved for Luffy.
I don't think so. I think he is more seen as Kaidou's right-hand man. Luffy usually doesn't fight those. Zoro vs. Jack seems most likely (Maybe Zoro & Law together?). Kaidou is the one who is being reserved for Luffy.
Duval… Pre skip besides Kuma no one recognized him. Not even the likes as Absalom... hell even Iva hasn't believed him being the one on the bounty
And you misunderstood my question. Sanji said right now that he never wanted his past to be involved... But the the fact remains. He should be smart enough to know that as soon as he gets reknown... sooner or later the past would have a role.
So why do he wanted to have the bounty that much? Just for the ego?
I mean that could be the reason he went to such great lengths to hide his eyebrow situation. Maybe it's a family thing? Afterall the Vinsmoke family probably figured out that Sanji was on the Orbit, and that it was sunk, causing them to presume he was dead. Considering that Duval proves there are other people out there with curly eyebrows then the family could have seen the wanted poster and just assumed it was some other Sanji, and they didn't make the connection until another wanted poster revealing his other eyebrow came out. (I mean, that'd be a severe lack of due diligence on their part, but we're really running out of viable reasons.)
Or as KC has pointed out, Sanji may have thought his family just didn't care about him anymore, probably due to him running away or something.
There's going to be some Minks going after all the samurai stuff is cleared up. There's no way Luffy goes by himself.
Im desperately hoping the conflict lasts two chapters at tops since the minks would be dumber than dressrosa's citizens and petty as hell to attack the people who saved their lives just cause a few samurai are there and were planning to meet up with thejr absent friend.

Luffy already said he was going to beat Jack up.
Being a subordinate isn't really a big deal. Luffy took care of Caesar, Mr. 3, etc. If Jack is the Zou Arc boss, it's Luffy's fight.
Really like this ark. It's very different from the others, it's like Oda's preparing the chessboard for the next game and it's really entertaining.
Luffy will make a deal with Big Mom. He'll defeat Kaidou for her, so Sanji doesn't have to marry her daughter. :ninja:

Luffy stated he would beat both Kaidou and Jack.
I was enjoying the chapter until it revealed they fell asleep and the Samurai are going to be revealed to the Minks. I really really don't want them to fight the Minks. I want to go straight to going after Sanji. Ugh God dammit I'm pissed off now. And before all that I was really enjoying this chapter too! I liked the idea that they knew all of that about Sanji and the idea of a severed head being sent to him and stuff. Seeing the heart Pirates again, and it was neat to see Peckoms still show loyalty to Big Mom after all of this. But that ending twist..while predictable as hell, I'd really hoped we were going to be able to avoid when Robin, Franky and Brook stood guard. Thier incompetence is going to lead to this dragging out and I don't want that..I severely don't want that.

We don't even know if it was their incompetence though. It could've been Raizou who knocked them out, for instance.
And this whole Samurai/Mink conflict has been set up from the start. There's no way it wasn't going to come to fruition in some form. Every single arc has its own conflict that has to be resolved, so I'm not sure why this would be any different.
Of course, I doubt this Mink conflict is going to last long. The potential return of the Beast Pirates should change things even more.

Blame yourself for ignoring the obvious setups.
We still need the Straw Hats to spend another day at Zou in order to understand the whole full moon thing as well.

The newspaper with Kaidou's defeat is for someone that has no other way to gather information. Also, note that Luffy and co could defeat some underlings of Kaidou in some arc, besides Kaidou's main arc and get attention on them. Heck fight marines and get even more attention.
It's clear that Big mom has some kind of ''agents'' that gather information about Baratie, the okamas, she doesn't even need newspapers.
SH would have to deal with Kaidou and stay as low as they can get at the same time. And likely Luffy understands that Sanji would not risk such a thing and leave his friends at the mercy of '' will big mom find out or she will not''.
Carrot for Nakama 2k16
Anyways, people were debating as to why Sanji always wanted a big bounty if he didn't want to be found by the Vinsmokes. I'll put out yhe theory that maybe he faked his death as a child? So he'd assumed that he would still think he's dead. Thinking it over now, I'm realizing that it actuality doesn't make that much sense, but
Onto the samurai and the minks, I don't really think that there's going to that big of a conflict. Maybe a misunderstanding for a few chapters, but nothing too big. And I don't think Luffy's going to go rescue Sanji by himself. The rest of the crew's probably gonna come along. Remember, when Vivi joined up with them, they didn't go straight to Alabasta, but stopped at Little Garden and Drum. I think something similar to that might happen. Perhaps Pekoms, Carrot, or Wanda will tag along, or some combination of the three? And the Heart Pirates will probably tag along, too. Like people have been saying, Kaidou needs to be taken care of before they move on to Big Mom. Or maybe that Kaidou vs. Big Mom thing will happen?

But like Law said, Kaidou is also already tracking them.
So there's no way around it. If they start a war with Big Mom now, they become easy pickings for Kaidou. Even Luffy understands this.
Really, the only real solution in the end would be for Luffy to take down the Big Mom Pirates without starting a full-blown war, which means he would need a plan, not a an assault.
The idea of lying to the minks was bad from the start. From what we have seen, they are understanding people. They blame Jack for not talking before acting. It is the Strawhat who were stupid to not prepare the unavoidable

I think the most safe place for SH now is at Big mom 's land. Would Kaidou attack them knowing he is going in Big mom's land, that likely are bigger enemies then SH and Big mom? Going to big mom could help get Kaidou out of their back.
Heck, even if Kaidou would dare, he would only make things more easy if he butts heads with big mom and our heroes do their thing.
