Dark Phoenix vs Spawn:

The ring was empty awaiting the competitors. Suddenly in a blaze of fire Dark Phoenix flew down into the ring. Spawn soon entered at the other end with his cape draped over his torso. The two competitors stood staring at each other, neither saying a word. â€œHmm you seem not to be human.â€?

â€œNo Iâ€m not. Heh, I can sense you possess great powerâ€¦ but it wonâ€t be enough to defeat me.â€? â€œFoolish being!â€? Dark Phoenix erupted with flames around her.

â€œâ€¦â€? Spawnâ€s cape opened as if it was alive itself. The bell sounded for the fight.

C'mon people we need a Jean Grey vs. Pheonix match up in round two for the ultimate Head trip. Don't dissappoint. Beside's spawn was only good for like the first fifty issue's or so anyway. If I have to I will resort to the fact that one has sexy boobs and the other looks like a crazy burn victim. Let your pants decide.

Such a tough matchup with this one. Spawn is such a cool badass anti-hero, but the Dark Pheonix went and destroyed an entire planet with a billion inhabitants just because she could. Not to mention that the whole Dark Pheonix saga is like my favorite in X-Men history. So yeah sorry hellspawn, I'm pulling for Dark Pheonix all the way.

Oh I don't know who to vote for. I like Spawn but I also like Dark Phoenix, the Phoenix saga is my favourite storyline in X-Men. Oh I'll just vote later when my mind isn't hazy from pyschcology.

I think he kind of got boring after awhile and to be honest the story never really went anywhere. I think if Mcfarlane had had a story to tell and then told it with the character and just ended it, it would have come out much better. It just seemed to run out of steam.
