All that Sanji needs to do to shine when we will see him next time is to show off some.. Fightin Spirt :ninja:
Chapter 809: Master Nekomamushi

Well, Sanji got to do some things even away as he is, attack big mom's ship and escape and defeating the right hand of Jack.
Going into speculation what enemies he will defeat next since he is also away from the crew, but my guess is that the next enemy he defeats is either CP0 or a yonkou commander.

If somebody reads Muratas OPM then he/ she will get the joke.
As for Sanji - since Strawhats gotten into New World, Sanji gets to fight strongest enemy first - first Vergo who was strongest enemy on Punk Hazard, then Doflamingo, now very likely Jack.
Sooner or later he will get a glorious fight and now would be pretty much perfect time for it imo. -
Wow you REALLY want to keep this going.
You are confusing normal with eccentric. No I don't care if other manga artist are doing similar silly stuff(I am guessing this where your "normal" part is going") slowing down such a large product because of how to describe it exactly.,…perfectionist control freak issues... is not normal. In fact it's kinda childish
Now if you absolutely feel the need to keep this issue going feel free to move it to the "questions that doesn't deserve their own thread" and I will indulge you. No need to derail this thread more. Although I am not sure if it's actually against the rules to derail a thread in this forum but it's still a douchy move so let's not

Yeah….I doubt Doflamingo needs anymore hype then he already had at that time.(Casually stopping Jozu with Parasite, Talks down to Crocodile, Breaks out of Aokiji's Ice with ease, Nearly Kills Moriah , Cuts off Little Oars Jr leg while laughing) I'm sure there's more but this is all prior to him meeting Sanji. Highly doubt Doflaingo needs hype after these feats, as stated before his Vergo encounter is debatable not his meeting with Doflamingo. I also don't think Sanji's minor moment with Blueno is a good example since he wasn't capable of breaking Tekkai, neither on Blueno or Jabra.
I disagree with this…. Sanji encounter with Doflamingo is also debatable, not in a way of him beating Doflamingo but in a way he could probably give Doflamingo a tough fight.
I say this because Doflamingo gave Luffy the same treatment he gave Sanji, not once but twice until Luffy pulled out his trumpcard gear 4. If Oda gave Sanji chance to fight then Sanji most definitely has his own gear 4 to pull out for a serious fight.

I actually agree with this there's more to Sanji than we've seen. He's a powerhouse and it wouldn't make sense if he couldn't give Doffy a fight. But he would not win no matter what.
-
I would like to see Sanji fight a broken DF user( and win). Luffy and Zoro get those, like now on Dressrosa, or Luffy most of the time. The DF users he fights don't tend to be based that much on their DFs.

Sanji survived being fried twice by Enel! two times in a single day, pre-time skip! he could survive an overheat or two, just sayn'

Oda expressed his sorry for taking many breaks through his comments on last week's WSJ (Issue No.1 of 2016, released Dec 07 2015). Sounds like mainly because he is spending much time on the new film ONE PIECE GOLD for next summer.

I'd be curious to see how Sanji regrows a heart before eating another Overheat.

I don't remember Sanji taking one Overheat.

Not sure if you guys noticed, but people in one piece tend to survive much worse sht, even freaking fodders, talk about Sanji. You guys apply too much IRL logic in a fantasy manga.
Overheat is overrated for nothing, it's like the next thing after 5 color strings, never got any hype like parasite or birdcage.

Enel would pwn Dofla!:ninja: he spent two years in the moon:ninja:
Who said it'd hit his heart area? also there are chest muscles and rib cage standing before the heart, it's not like Sanji's heart is just laying out there, bare in the open lol. Over heat didn't seem like a piercing/penetrating attack anyway. It's just a ridiculously long whip fired at a great speed. Sure it would've caused a major damage at that close range(if Sanji doesn't cover himself with haki), but nothing fatal! it's Once Piece after all. -

Let's say Sanji unlocked his version of G4 how long do you think he'd last ? This is why I say its not up for debate G4 Luffy managed to hold his own only due to Gamma Knife damage.

We also have to face facts Sanji has been the least impressive since the timeskip I do think Oda will give him his time to shine but we'll just have to wait and see what he can do at full strength. Zoro hasn't even tried yet and is really impressive seems invincible.

Literally got hyped as he used it.
http://read.powermanga.org/read/one_piece/en/0/724/page/10Sanji was screwed there. He's shown nothing to say he could get out of Parasite, even told the crew to run away and leave him, and was outright said to have been saved by Law.

There is also the fact that Wano itself is the most closed location so far in OP world.
But Hogback and Moria visited Wano and desecrated Ryuuma's grave by taking both his corpse and his sword.
@KageKageKing:And Sanji knowing about Wano culture adds fuel to the World Noble Theory.
This argument would be completely sound, according to the criteria of deduction, only if the nobles were the only ones privy to such information.
@Galaxy:But something like this has never actually been seen in the series in a serious manner (The Fake Straw Hats are the closest to it).
Before I plunge deeper into this discussion, let's just be on the same page about something: I am just sharing a possibility that came to mind; I am in fact open to both possibilities. That is, he is a one-Billion-Berry man or he isn't. I am not favouring a possibility over another.
@Galaxy:Nor is it necessary for Jack, as he's made his name already as one of Kaidou's right hand men. That alone would be enough to scare people away, but the Minks don't care.
I won't say they didn't care because there were some minks with tears in their eyes telling the duke, Inuarashi, to escape before Jack's goon revealed that their leader is worth 1B berry. And when he did reveal his worth as a wanted man, they sure reacted with a shock to that.
Whether it is true or false that he is a 1B man, Jack's underling wanted to attack the fighting spirit of the minks by telling them Jack's worth as a wanted man. Otherwise, I don't see the point of announcing Jack's a worth as a wanted man.
@Bugs:More interesting to me than the fact Bariete is traveling with the two samurai is why Bariete was even falling in the first place.
I have been wondering about this as well; though, it seemed like it had the initial purpose of misleading us into thinking that Zou's invasion was few hours prior to the Straw Hats' arrival. Beriete falling, nobody's was on the watchtowers, the kingdom's gates were forced open, the path behind the gates was 'freshly' ravaged, and, to conclude this, invaders were on the Whale Forest.
@Bugs:I suspect it's just going to be a gag (Bariete noticed someone climbing up, leaned closer to get a better look, then slipped and fell), but Oda might intend for something more serious here.
I have a similar feeling in my chest. I just wish it won't be left as another loose end.

Just because they are pirates, doesn't mean they can sneakily penetrate a country and steals a corpse without no one noticing.

A mammoth that dries up areas is unappealing and written terribly for a right hand of one of the four most powerful pirates in the world.
The Minks beating on him made it no better. So they used a weapon produced by Krown.

You can copy paste your very intelligent reply over and over to each and every post in these manga chapters discussions until the end of time and it'd sound the same and won't wove the discussion by even a 1mm.
The so called 'bullshit' is the norm in OP, you may call it that if it was one of those serious series(seinen?) or when compared to real life situations(with exaggeration). I agree there are some bullshit moments in OP, many actually but, I don't believe this instance of Sanji vs OverHeat to be one of them. -

If anything so far, It shows how crucial Ceasar and Doflamingo were to Kaido.Don't know where you got the idea that Jack dries up areas. Just because he's known as the drought doesn't mean he dries up areas around him. Until we see more, hard to tell why he's exactly called that. The only idea I have is that since he goes on rampages everywhere, nothing is left standing. This would be like a drought, where everything dries up and eventually dies with little left.
We had the top two minks that were the only ones to actually hit him, and Jack has shown no signs of being injured badly. If anything, they just managed to piss him off more since they not only refused to show the samurai, but one outright attacked him.
Not just talking about you, I don't understand why people the line of thinking that Jack in automatically weak when two new characters are shown to do something of little impact. For a number of people, if a new character was introduced and was able to hit an admiral and do some damage, they would suddenly claim admirals are weak and pushovers. Instead, it should be assumed that these characters must be strong to take on such a characters attack, and if they were able to fight on par with Jack (supposedly), this shows that the New World is no joke. Going off one part of one chapter to assume something is also quite silly, as it was an introduction and nothing else. We had the same thing with Bellamy v Luffy, and that was silly as well.
As for your last part, it was said that Doflamingo was quite essential to Kaido. Law said that their best chance to fight Kaido was to take out Doflamingo first and the smiles. The fact that weapons provided by Ceasar was necessary proves this, and shows how powerful Kaido's crew overall needs to be to have such a stronghold over the New World. Also, Jack's men had the disadvantage to fight all the time, where the Minks could trade off, as was specified in this chapter.
-

The fact that you think Jack has drought powers because of his epithet shows that you can't judge the quality of the character's writting.
-
And Shanks's arm got owned by a shark.
I think whether Luffy could defeat Doflamingo without gamma knife is really of no consequence. Almost every arc had Luffy go all out against a primary antagonist, have lot of help , have lot of luck barely defeat him, then having to sleep for 2/3 days .But after that arc we can take for granted Luffy>that antogonist .
This is just a shounen troupe. Life Goku defeated Vegeta after going all out and several help from others. But from then it was taken for granted that Luffy>Vegeta.
Oda is following the same shounen troupe.

Le Roman de Renart was written in eleventh century. And it's not like shintoism was full of talking animals.

I was just watching the old Star Wars movies and noticed there is a monster in Episode II that looks identical to the cat fellow introduced in this chapter. A nod from Oda, maybe?

I'm watching them too and I don't know what you are talking about. You are not speaking of that rat-tiger thingy that tried to eat Padme in the arena, are you ?
By the way I recommend people to watch Cartoon Networks' Clone Wars between II and III. It eases the transition and it will hype you for the return of Samurai Jack.

I know Doflamingo was essential to Kaido. I stated how that was proven when Jack was proven to be weak by being pushed to use Ceasar's weapon after showing no well-written ability for the right hand of one of the strongest pirates in the world.
The fact that you think Jack has drought powers because of his epithet shows that you can't judge the quality of the character's writting.
Jack did dry up the area because he laid waste to it, via destruction; the weapon.
I didn't take it literally. -

Imagine that, a pirate fighting unfairly. Let's not forget that the person who said Inu-Arashi was about to defeat him was Wanda, and not the ma….er, dog himself, or the fact that said Duke was in a coma for a week and is heavily bandaged up. Who do you think did that to him? Sheepshead?
Jack did dry up the area because he laid waste to it with the weapon.
No, it was literally explained last chapter his epithet is because wherever he rampages, it looks like a drought hit it.
-

I didn't take it literally. So Jack is weak because he was pushed to use weapons to win against the minks. We could go with that logic, or we can go with the logic that the minks are no pushovers, which is something that has been emphasized for a good bit. There's also the fact that the Minks have the home turf advantage, and sides can get rest by night time minks taking over for day time minks and vice versa. This is what I was talking about, where we shouldn't assume someone is weak just because of a small circumstance. It's refreshing to see that in the New World, which is supposed to be dangerous, being powerful doesn't mean you are untouchable.
Let's also wait until we get the full story until we start claiming Jack is actually weak.
-
I was just watching the old Star Wars movies and noticed there is a monster in Episode II that looks identical to the cat fellow introduced in this chapter. A nod from Oda, maybe?
Identical? Wouldn't go that far. Last I checked Nekomamushi didn't have 4 eyes and long forked tail.
The animal looks like it's inspired by the ches cat anyway. That's a more likely source of inspiration.
-

If someone can sink 2 ships next to an Admiral and Former Fleet Admiral and for story purpose survives, I wouldn't call him weak.
Also, Kaido has 3 right-hand men, not only Jack. -
Just because they are pirates, doesn't mean they can sneakily penetrate a country and steals a corpse without no one noticing.
We don't know how things are (or were) in Wano. Kinemon harbours hatred toward pirates because Kaido conquered his country and traumatized his son with aviophobia. We don't know how things were prior to Kaido's invasion.
Just recently, we had been thinking that Zou did not allow humans into their country, but it turned out that all of us were embracing a false belief: we discovered, after a couple of chapters, that the minks gladly welcome outsiders to Zou on the condition that they ring the welcome bell.
Wano could be(or could have been) similar to Zou in this aspect. -

Wasn't that Doflamingo? Momo was shaking in his dragon form when he spoke/thought of the flying man when talking to Sanji on their way away from greenbit.
It couldn't have been Doflamingo because Doflamingo has never caught Momonosuke_,_ let alone take him to the sky. It was this process of chasing Momonosuke that caused Momo to stow away in the ship that was headed for Punk Hazard.
I have explained everything about that matter in this theory.
-
I feel this chapter hits particularly hard for the Japanese and other countries hit with chemical/nuclear weapons of war. Very powerful chapter. I do like that Oda is removing limbs as his alternative to scarring all his characters and never killing them.
The way Jack dried these warriors up of all their pride and pressed them to beg and groan is pretty amazing. Hopefully Jack will be more than a merciless elephant by the time Luffy has to fight him. And, hopefully, that fight will be quicker than past One Piece fights…
If Jack likes destruction so much, maybe he can be the first New World enemy to destroy, or attempt to destroy, Luffy's treasure. Then we can see Luffy's rage bubble over in a way we haven't for a while.
