I wasn't even aware that R2-D2 was played by an actor.
I thought it was one of those dolls like Yoda.

Well, there were usually a few different R2-D2 models on the set of any given Star Wars film. Some were empty and controlled by remote control, while others did have Kenny Baker inside of them and he controlled them from within (which itself is kind of a fine line between acting and puppeteering). Deep Roy also acted as Kenny's double.

Damn I didn't think any of the main cast from the show was still around.

I think the guy who played Brain is still alive. He's the last member of the original cast now that Kaplan is gone.

Renowned wrestler/manager and WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Fuji has passed away at 82.
AND, a big blow to the South American/Latino communities.
Famous and world renowned musician Juan Gabriel has passed away at age 66, of apparent heart attack.
-
R.I.P. Mr. Fuji, Fuji Vice is still one of the greatest moments on Tuesday Night Titans.
-
RIP Juan Gabriel :(

And now we've lost Gene Wilder. That fucking sucks. He was 83.
-
I am ridiculously sad right now…

And now we've lost Gene Wilder. That fucking sucks. He was 83.
I rarely get dumbstruck at the death of a celebrity. Sad? of course but to feel so bad I'm dumbstruck and cried? Rarely.
I was sad at the deaths of David Bowie, Lady Di, Steve Irwin and many others, but I've only been dumbstruck at celebrity deaths 3 times before =
Gilda Radner, Johnny Carson and George Carlin.R.I.P Gene, may you lovable madness and wit be long remembered
-
A startling amount of Mel Brooks stars are gone.
-
RIP Gene Wilder.
To me, he was best known as Willy Wonka. -
Despite that popular meme, to me the top film I think of when thinking of Gene Wilder is Young Frankenstien, Willy Wonka is #3.
#1 Young Frankenstien.
#2 Haunted Honeymoon,
then Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
4th Blazing Saddle
ITs a bit hard to decide which would be 5th
Guess I'll go with Stir Crazy
-
…Wow..2016 is being a hard year, R.I.P. to a great actor.
-
Darn, RIP Gene.
What Katzztar , you didn't like him in the producers? :O
-
…I have no words. So I'll just a leave a clip from one of my absolute favorite movies
-
Absolutely speechless. This is one of the worst years in recent memory for celebrity deaths. :(
83 feels too soon to go.RIP Gene.
Time to put in my copies of Willy Wonka and Young Frankenstein tonight. -
Bye, Gene Wilder. 2016 is not kind to people which is very sad

-
Damn Gene Wilder is a acting legend. Going to miss him. :(
-
I was literally listening to Pure Imagination yesterday on a sheer whim. This is pretty upsetting. But at least this gave me the incentive and awareness needed to get into other films he's starred in besides Willy Wonka, such as Young Frankenstein.
-
Damn it. Rest in piece Leonard Bloom, Waco Kid, Dr. Frankenstein, and Willy Wonka.
-
Despite that popular meme, to me the top film I think of when thinking of Gene Wilder is Young Frankenstien, Willy Wonka is #3.
Apart from those numbered, I also loved him in "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother". That stuff was hilarious.
-
Just found out my best friend has never seen Young Frankenstein and has spotty memories of Blazing Saddles, so she only thinks she's seen bits and pieces of it….......
This injustice is being corrected tonight.

I've never seen Young Frankenstein either. So I'm going to watch that this Sunday.
And once again I am sorry for not updating page 1. I have a week off from work next week and I PROMISE I'll add the sadly ever growing list of the people we have lost. 2016 is being brutal
-
He was the best Willy Wonka by far.
-

 Oh my… my memory is spotty on tht one, I will have to watch it soon to rectify that.

Yes, Young Frankenstein is a must. IMO Its a classic that's one of Gene's best works. One will not be sorry for watching it.

Just watched Miller's Crossing the other day. He was a great character actor.

Final;ly updated the first page. Hope I got everyone.
Again despite trying every permeation I am unable to fix the hide issues on the page
-
In the last 24h we lost Carlo Arzelio Ciampi, former Italy headstate, and Don Gabriele Amort, the last great exorcist.

I took a look, your tags are a little jumbled up, especially the colour ones which aren't showing up at all. If you start the tags over from scratch it should fix it. If not, lemme know and I'll fix it later.

I'll scrap all the tags and start again tomorrow. I'll post here if it still doesn't work
(What I had been trying was to delete the hide tags that appeared but they kept popping back in afterwards) -

(What I had been trying was to delete the hide tags that appeared but they kept popping back in afterwards)Ohhhh I see. Yeah, sometimes a rogue tag can cause these weird errors. I'd try just copying all the text without tags, paste it into notepad so it removes all the formatting and you can space it out again properly, add in the hide and bold tags, and that should do it.

Animator and voice actor C. Martin Croker, aka Zorak and Moltar from Space Ghost Coast to Coast along with both Dr. Weird and Steve from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, has passed away.
-
Damn. Real sad to hear that. His voice has been a part of my life ever since I watched Cartoon Planet and SGC2C as a kid. And I've continued to watch and love Space Ghost and ATHF into my adulthood. I'll miss you Croker.
-
He was just fifty-four; haven't heard yet what was the cause.
-
-
we lost another one…
-
R.I.P. C. Martin Croker… Space Ghost Coast to Coast was one of my favorite shows to watch back in the early days of Cartoon Network.
-
Zorak was one of the first voices I loved to imitate as a kid…
I hope he's resting in peace
