Owl is the best. I don't even know why it's ghost, but I'm just going to accept the blessings in my life.
Pokemon Ultra S&M - Let's Minecraft Pikachu and Eevee Quest

-
Yah, I can't resist grass ghost. It's gg for me.
-
I will say though, that it's a huge bummer that Decidueye gets a signature GHOST move, Incineroar gets a signature DARK move, and then for some reason Primarina's signature move is just the opposite of scald.
I mean, I guess water-type coverage is probably wider than Fairy, but seeing more diversity in fairy offensive moves would have been hype.
I also still don't get the idea behind curing an enemy's burns while dealing damage… unless it works like Wake-Up Slap, in which case you can combo it with Scald. Flame orbs and Facade and stuff like that are just too much of a niche compared to being able to lock an enemy from switching or hitting regardless of enemy stat boosts.
But yea, unless it goes the Wake-Up Slap route, the signature move just gets completely outdone by superior water-type moves. -
It's especially weird, since the only move we can assume Primarina will get that can burn at all is scald, which isn't even guaranteed burn on hit.
No clue what they were thinking on that one.
-
It's described as making water balls that both explode, and don't, bouncing on the non-volatile one, and confounding enemies with the others. Maybe one of the islands will feature a Trial of Balls.
Primarina is actually the protagonist of Pikachu's Bizarre Adventure Part 8, featuring a combination of "Killer Queen's" exploding balls and "Soft and Wet's" balls
-
Red and Green are pulling a Ryu and Ken vibe to me.
-
That move better work in the same way as Wake Up Slap. It just makes no sense other than to counter some sort of Guts strategy which is ridiculously specific.
-
Didn't even notice he was grass ghost first viewing. Made his spirit arrow really confusing.
Just a few more weeks!
-
Regarding type tweaks, I read somewhere that Steel will resist Dark again.
And I wouldn't mind if Fairy had one more weakness
-
Man, Red looks manly.
Also:
-
Dammit, now I'm gonna be hard all day.
-
There is no reason for them to make that change in the metagame suddenly just to make a starter trio check out. Particularly since it being a perfect circle is not exactly a rule, just something that happened last generation.
Personally, I'm starting to feel we might NOT get type tweaks, which sucks for ice. Someone in Gamefreak really hates ice it seems.
shrug I mean they could? But the secondary cycle has never been a priority, no? Feels more of a "hey that's a neat pattern" that they inadvertently made.
I don't mean they would tweak just so the starter trio would work on their secondary types as well. I mean their secondary types might hint on a tweak because it seems like they were repeating what they did in GenVI.
-

You're Pokemons are like your asshole, you don't go around showing it to everybody.
-
In the Japanese trailer, Desidueye uses his signature move on A!Raichu, which is Fairy and I think it makes the Super Effective sound. Kind of a weird tweak to make unless they nerfed some of Ghosts other strengths.I thought A!Raichu was Fairy, but it's Psychic. never mind me.Primarina just might become my new favorite starter. It's perfect.
-
y u no Bug-type, Lele? First Lurantis, now you… why??? ;~ -
Rowlet is always going to remain as my favorite starter, but Popplio's line is just the best. Man, they really knocked out the park with these starters.
For you all who have remained loyal to the cute seal in spite of all the uncalled-for hatred it got back then. Congratulations!
!
-
Red and Green seem pretty friendly with each other, which is good.
Green (Blue?) cracking a joke for Red, that's real gold (cough). Haha -

No clue what they were thinking on that one.
Don't underestimate the bullshit power of scald. I swear, on Showdown, at least, that move burn 50 % of the time. Its horse crap.
-
why does Red look like Mako from Legend of Korra
-
Well, fuck. I wanted the owl first and Ghost/Grass is AWESOME, but dammit now Popplio evolves into a fucking Water/FAIRY. Add that to it's awesome design, and I'm stuck. Water starter again it is.
And again, if I get a male (and starters are almost always male), I'm naming it RuPaul.

Aw, that's just lovely.

Amourshipping just got the best goodbye possible. Bringing it up here given there's not really a Pokémon anime thread.
-
I think Primarina may have the most awkward design of any starter, ever. It might look ok in water, but just holding itself up with its flippers looks so weird and it's proportions. Ah, I just hate it.
As for Decidueye, its typing has made me consider using it, but I like the design less the more I see it in action. I'll either use it or box it, but I probably won't trade it at this point.
I didn't have love for Incineroar before and I don't have any now, but it's about what I expected in motion.
I'm pretty hype for Red and Blue. Hoping there's some actual meat to the postgame story-wise, not just endless battles like the Maison.

Is it? I was under the impression from the getgo that it was onesided and I think that's all we can really say for sure about it, though Ash's eye glimmer is suspect.

It was actually Incineroar who attacked Alolan Raichu.

Amourshipping? Huh?

Amourshipping? Huh?
Romantic pairing between Ash and the girl of the season. No idea why that particular name but..
Rocketshipping is Jessie and James, Pokeshipping is Ash and Misty, Contestshipping is May and Drew, I forget what May and Ash was called, and then after that I haven't watched the show in 10 years so I have no idea. I don' think anyone cared about Iris.Every single season fans decide Ash's one true love is the new girl, and they have about the same amount of non-evidence to support it, though apparently the newest girl actually had some history with him or something.
-

That only happens if it's my opponent using Scald. I can never get a burn off when it's my 'mon using it lol

Amour is French for love, Xy/kalos = France
-
Didn't the last girl kiss Ash before she left? I thought i read something like that …
I'm so glad that Incineroar is Dark and not Fighting! Now i can put that Dragon in my team without having duplicate types. :D
Also yay for more late-game content! X and Y were pretty disappointing in that regard. -

In every series before this, any romance angle was just the fans reading way too much into things and going by the far-too-common assumption that "Look, it's a boy and a girl who get along! CLEARLY THEY MYST BE IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER!!!"
This time though, Serena was very obviously in love with Ash. This came up quite often both in the way she interacted with him and other characters commenting on it. I mean there was never any indication that Ash saw her as anything more than just a friend, but out of all the main character ships in the Pokémon anime, Ash/Serena was easily the one that made the most sense. Though I still never expected it to go anywhere. Still don't, because aside from the fact that Serena is now officially out of the show… Well, Ash barely even reacted to that kiss ffs. Though I do appreciate the fact that they at least did something with this particular character trait of hers rather than just constantly bring it up over the show only to ignore it in the end. -
What do they call Brock x Ash shipping?
-
Ash and May is Advanceshipping.
Ash and Dawn is Pearlshipping.
-
Ash and iris is nothing.

What do they call Brock x Ash shipping?
Bouldershipping

Don't underestimate the Pokémon fandom. They apparently got a ship for everything.
But yeah, the moment I found out Serena actually is crushing on Ash and they had a childhood history I kept up with the ship even though I still don't watch the anime actively. Along with keeping the crush consistent on Serena's side throughout the series, it seems like they did a great job with her character, and most of the Pokémon fandom like her as a character and is fine with the ship.
And yeah, the eye glimmer is what sold it to me that Ash at least isn't asexual and felt something during the kiss, though apparently the translation has Serena saying she'll keep growing to be a more beautiful woman with Ash just agreeing (all before the kiss).
-
I was shipping Shouhei and Hoku, but it was not meant to be :~
I would call it RetsTrainshipping
-
Ash doesn't feel love.
He sucks the soul out of his female counterpart to fuel his eternal youth as he seeks to win a Pokemon League.
-
I remember shipping Ash/Dawn like crazy when I was younger lol
-
There are even people who ship Ash with his Gliscor. I forget the name of the ship though and can't seem to find it on Bulbapedia now.
-
If any pokemon gets it, it's Bayleef/Meganium.
-
LagomorphShipping was the best.

@Below:

I don't know. It seems to burn as often as Sacred Fire, and far more often than Lava Plume or Steam Eruption. Its quite the bullshit move if you ask me.
Oh, and on the topic of competitive pokemon, I find it hysterical that Clefable is the best pokemon in the OU meta. It doesn't have a single BST above 95, yet, its the face of OU this generation. Funny how that shit works.

Oh hey! It is those guys.

Man, that Chansey scares me.
-
Wow….That mansion one was creepy. So much detail in "eating."
-
Gabby and Ty?????
So many memories of battling them over and over to get E4 money/experience back in the original Ruby.
-
I liked both of these episodes.
The Scoop had some badass scenes.
The Old Chateau was just great.I don't think they'd do sequel of this so if someone could tell me what happens to that green-haired girl that would be great.
-

You find her in Eterna Forest before the second gym and teams up with her. Then see her again post-game. That is all.
-

Nothing. You just meet her in that forest and teams up with you till you get to the exit.

So she's alive, right??!!
