@MetaMario:
I think it's a little odd for Oda to forcibly transform Nami again. First she gets Franky's body and Sanji gets hers, then Jora turns into art….now she's a mink? Nah.
Don't forget the time when she was transformed into a soap doll by Kalifa.
And the time when she was transformed into 'Namizo'.<–------------------just for the lols.
@Artur:
Also on 1. What i mean is that that hair strand is one very iconic of Nami, which is always longer than the others. Here it is significally shorter.
The Mink Nami was holding her hair with a headband, so that could explain why it looks shorter than usual.
@Seafarer33:
Truth be told, this could also be used as an argument against the Mink Nami theory. Minks are intelligent, yet remained secluded on their island for over a thousand years. Therefore, to a she-mink with a fashion sense, Nami's clothes may have the outlandish sheen of the completely exotic and thus be deemed attractive. With that in mind, trading clothes may simply have been a cause or consequence of the Swirlyhats befriending the Minks.
Yes, that's possible. But the very odd thing that I don't see being addressed here is the fact that we have two minks who share uniquely common things with both Raizo and Nami. This is something that we must take into consideration when we reason. That was deliberately put by Oda-sensei there. A monkey, who is a mink, saying something that ONLY Raizo says, and a mink girl looking like Nami both in body and clothes. Given the mechanics of One Piece, it is entirely possible for something like this to happen.
I'd gladly welcome another reasonable explanation that explains both of these mysteries.
@Seafarer33:
Another question I'd like to see answered is where are Law's crewmates? Considering that they were already headed to Zou before the Strawhats even made land on Dressrosa, they supposedly reached Zou several weeks ago.
Law's cremmates were at Zou, according to Law. I confirmed it in the manga(VOL 70).
@Seafarer33:
Could they also be a part of the problems this nation is facing?
Bepo and company were supposed to be at Zou long before Law tried to blackmail Doflamingo, so they couldn't be the intruders that the mink Nami(=a name I invented because of her resemblance to Nami since we don't have her name yet) was talking about since these intruders are supposed to have made their appearance very recently(today possibly), given what Carrot said about Bariete(being taken out), and given that the gates, which Bariete was supposed to be guarding, were forced open along with the freshly ravaged path that Zoro and his group walked through.
@Seafarer33:
Or do you think they could have been sheltered by the Mink tribe if Beppo is indeed one of them ?
It is possible for Law's crew to be on the good side of minks(since there is nothing that refutes this possibility), but I don't think the minks could shelter them since they weren't able to shelter themselves. You saw that Luffy found their country ravaged and empty.
I don't know when the raid happened, but I'll show you something I remembered.
Look at the smoke rising on the right panel, along with what appears to be 'gas'.Trouble was happening at Zou 9 days before today(if not longer).
@Seafarer33:
Yet if he is indeed a Mink, wouldn't Law know a little more about them ?
Law, of all people, was the one who was able to recognize them at first sight. I think he knows about them. If there is anyone that would tell us the information that we need to know, it must be Law.
