He looks like one of those demons from Devilman that serve nothing more to introduce themselves as one of "The 4 Commandments of Pain from Jinmen´s Army" or something.
That way we know the boss of the arc is a dude named Jinmen, and that Acacia is nothing more than the paperboy that brings the good news of his arrival.

Not really sure how somebody could have a problem with the past 2 chapters, but then not have a problem with the previous 10-15. Im in the exact same position I was in before. Being hyped up for the next chapter.
Pure unadultered hype.
Also, this series has some of the most in-universe context insults I've ever seen. Telling somebody they have been on a diet in the Toriko world is a grade A insult.

Okay, just going by the basic outline of their actions in this chapter, which of these would you think was the villain?
- A character says that he'll spare another, much weaker one (despite the latter's attempts to kill him) because they were once friends.
- In an attempt to achieve his goals, a character eats people while they are asleep to get a temporary power-up.
Complicating things since 2009.

I'll keep saying this: as much of a rushed mess this is, and how I don't care about the concepts, lore or plot thrown at us by Shima anymore (I sincerely forgot what Acacia is even supposed to be anymore), or even its characters (both main characters AND main villains right now are a snoozefest), and yeah, Acacia looks like a turd covered in burnt hair. . .
. . .but this is still entertaining. As far as endings go, this blows Naruto's and Bleach's out of the water by the simple merit of being Toriko-ish in its depiction of mass destruction and over-the-topness. Toriko used to be many more things aside from that, and it was the better manga for it, but for what it's worth and considering how much of a trainwreck we could be watching now, I'd say this is probably better than it should have any right to be.

So sorry for Mansam being removed from the 'main stage' because he's too "weak"…The now IGO President is a really cool character.

Bleach? Yes, but that isn't hard to do. Pre-90s video games that end on "YOU ARE WINNER" have better endings than bleach.
Naruto? No. It didn't have a good ending, but at least some things in it had some kind of build up and all the characters got some kind of closure.
Toriko as it exists is a gaint pile of asspull powerups, last minute bosses with no motive, side characters being brought back up only to be tossed away a second later to show how stronk everyone is and fights that seesaw back and forth with yet more asspull powers. It basically IS bleach but in fastforward with better visuals.

Let's not get in a discussion here about which ending sucked the least. Bleach's is horrible, Naruto's sucked and this one is not great either. The action, style and everything sure is apocalyptic, so let's just enjoy that and leave it for what it is.

Just read the new translation by Hiwamatanoboru. It seems that chichi asked zonge to hit Neo with a laser and that was we saw a few chapters ago when Neo was fighting the Dragon King. However I still don't understand why ? I suppose it is not just to measure the level of Neo (or at least I hope so…)

By the way, I remember a Blue Nitro not try and catch Jirou in a golden can (the one thay plan to catch NEO) out of fear that Acacia would see it and understand their true purpose. But this chapter PAIR says it told Acacia BN's true purpose? So Pair did that without telling other BN or Shima's bad?

I have absolutely no idea what is going on in the first half of the chapter, but I barely remember the lore regarding Acacia, Frohze and Midora so I can't fault Shima for that.
What I can appreciate is the straihgtforward stuff of Acacia being a shitheel because of unapologetic adulterousness in front of his partner, and of course the awesome-looking giant Planet Spank.
Thats what I'm here for at this point. The occasional glimpses of Straightforward Stuff.

Considering the pattern of interruptions, this time with Joie being interrupted, I'm going to assume at this point that Starjun and Toriko are Acacia and Froese's children. It's likely that Joie ate Pair again centuries later and restarted the pregnancy. I'll just assume it's some magic science effect of Pair to put the embryo(es) in stasis.
Though, that would also work for the theory that Komatsu is Froese's child.
Anywho, I'm glad Acacia decided to out himself as a misogynistic asshole on top of all his other bullshit so Midora punching him in the fucking face would be even more cathartic.

Toriko and Komatsu are in the late twenties. Toriko and Starjun are probably Midoria's kids though. A twist would be Komatsu lol.

Looking at this chapter, I really don't get how Shimas mind works. He spends all this time crafting a world based on bizarre gourmet-ethics and alien decisionmaking… and then in the end, when he needs to build up Acacia as a hateable villain, makes him go "Your beloved foster mother pampered me despite me blatantly cheating on her, hehehehe, aint' I a complete bag of dicks?"
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the hell out of that moment, especially due to Acacias amazingly shit-eating grin, but if you're ultimately gonna go with something easily relatable for the reaters, why bother with all the alienating gourmet-lore mumbo jumbo?

It´s Zonge:
- We don´t know his real age. He might be older than what he looks because of his genes and whatever Froese ate while she had him.
- He´s in every single scene of danger, and always manages to overcome his shortcomings.
- We never actually saw him fight. He might be a lot stronger than what we think and we have no idea. Maybe he gets serious when in actual danger.
- He survives through every trial put ahead of him, just like Komatsu, who´s weak and defenceless when he doesn´t have Toriko around. That´s Food Luck if I ever saw it.
- The monkey King choose him as his waifu. Zonge must be really strong go take a pounding from that thing.
Zonge will be revealed as Acacia´s son and will have a role to play in his dismiss.
I actually think Star might be wrong and Toriko isn´t his brother.
Toriko´s real brother is Zonge. They were twins and no one knows. Toriko and Zonge will fuse into Tonge and defeat Acacia.
