I have a theory that Bandai Namco is letting us choose 3 characters of choice while they chose the two characters from the top 5 of the top 3. If you check my picture below, there are only 5 DLC slots left. So, we might be actually getting 5 new playable characters, unless they're for the Gold Film movie. I don't know who to give my vote to! Lucci is a guarantee, as is probably Vivi. I might give my vote to one of the newer characters, like Pink or Trebol.

I have a feeling that every character in the poll already has a 3D model made and ready, but they still need to add the movesets. And this poll is to decide which three characters will get their movesets completed.
The characters that don't make it will probably be in the "possible" sequel.
I'm voting for Vivi because she hasn't been playable in a One Piece game in literally forever.
Arlong - for the same reasons as Vivi.
Senor Pink - because his chances are low and he would have the most creative fighting style.

I voted for Rob. I would also like to see Arlong in as well, and Caesar too, for some Punk Hazard rep. Too bad Monet wasn't available. I'd also like to see Vivi return. Cavendish is in the 3ds game, so i'm fine with him sliding. It is funny how Hody isn't support nor can you vote for him wither, lol.

Senor Pink would be fun as heck to play as, but I've been clamouring for Vivi back since she's technically a Strawhat. Although I'd only be happy if Carue was included in her moveset…
...but Magellan is one of my favourite antagonists short of Mr. 3(who would of easily got my vote had he been an option; a team of him, Buggy and Bon chan would of been incredible) and Garp is one of the most glaring omissions from Marineford! ARGH! WHO TO PICK?
Not worried about Lucci; he'll get in regardless. Most popular fight in the whole series, and was generally speaking considered by many one of the best arcs.

Considering the fact that her whole (badly handled) character arc was she was a pacifist, that she's an option to fight is ridunkulous. If that desperate for a female Dressrosian, Baby 5 had a ton more potential and fun to play with. Hell; VIOLET had more to work with than a blunt blade, tears and a general inability to do anything but get other characters injured along the way.

Honestly besides Baby 5 and Monet every other woman in one piece is pretty forgettable and boring for a fighting game, i can't believe they have never been playable and even in the pool they have chosen Vivi, Rebecca and Tashigi over them, i rly hope they are not in the top 3

Here's the characters that I'm deciding on.
Kuro - He's my favorite villain of early days of One Piece. He would be interesting move set.
Senor Pink - He would be a very unique character and a German suplex would be a great grab attack.
Cavendish - Pretty much for a Hakuba berserk mode. -

Spike Chunsoft worked on non fighting characters like Babidi for Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. He wasn't that deep compared to Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royale, but his moveset is still pretty decent.
So, I am sure Spike Chunsoft can pull this off the same level as the Gundam VS Gundam developers.

I kind of disagree. She has Haki and survives countless coliseum battles. She wins her block at Joker's Mera Mera contest (regardless of how it happened, she was the only one to avoid enough of Hakuba's attack). She is forced into a life of fighting that she never wanted. The fact that her character is based around not hurting others clearly counts her out as a Strawhat, but it doesn't make her weak.

Being a pacifist/technical pacifist doesn't necessarily mean you can't place a character like that in a fighting game.
