So why exactly wouldn't this this new spanish redub be cancelled like 300 episodes in? There was a spanish continuation of detective conan but then it was canned again around the 300 ep mark. I hope the spanish dub can cover the whole series. Due to 4kids listening of other regions the series got screwed internationally. Hopefully the netflix binge watch model can save one piece in latin america.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...
One Piece Anime in Latin America.

You know what I dont care. We got the redub we always wanted. Pardon my rudeness, but I am tired of people being killjoys and doomsaying.
EDIT:OOPS! I thought you were saying that this redub was pointless. Sorry! I just saw the first half of your post and saw red.
Detective Conan fialed because it was literally never redubbed. It just continued under a mish mash of casts from around Latin America. That's the exact of opposite of what One Piece is doing. A fresh start with a new cast that Toei intends to keep consistent. Detective Conan needed to do what Toei did just now.
One Piece is TRENDING IN ARGENTINA. its a success. I doubt it will be cancelled. And even if it is. 130 episodes have been dubbed. I dont mind if it ends there.
Lady Quexinos and Demon Rin know the hard fight.
-
Not a surprise since Argentina got the series earlier than the rest of LatAm.
So I had to wait until 2:00 AM because we use several time zones in Mexico and untill ALL the time zones are past 12:00, Netflix releases their new content, by that time I really wanted to sleep but I still managed myself to see at least one chapter.
And yeah, I do love it, I think this is an amazing oportunity for One Piece to shine gloriously in LatAm, imma recommend it to all my friends who wouldn't watch OP because its too long, and 'Pistola Goma Goma' does sounds good enough for the Hispanic fandom.
-
The point is that reversed it's gonna affect in the long run, luffy many times say "gomu gomu no…(few second after) pistol/bazooka, whatever!", in spanish would be like "pistola goma...goma!"? to me that sounds bad.
-
Say whatever you want about it, but this one scene shows the redub is solid stuff.
-
Oh yeah thats great actually
-
MY POOR POOR JINBE! His name is pronounced correctly but its spelled Yinbe now.
-
I completely loved Buggy's voice. Me recuerda un poco a Frieza (or should I say Freezer? ).
-
So what are toeis expectations for the latin american redub? Are they going to just pump out eps like funimation is doing? How many rps have been recorded so far? I wish you could redub magical doremi for America and continue it's spanish dub too
-
It seems OP is top ten in virtually every Latin American country, notably Peru took it to the 2nd place.

Agreed, there are definitely very few diamonds in this huge patch of rough but when you find them they are definitely worth it. Also, yeah I just heard Usopp's voice, and it sounds like an attempted imitation of the Latin dub voice for Meowth in Pokémon. If he starts to say hoja de jaleo just like Meowth I'm leaving.

-
How far are they dubbing?
-
I dont know but sadly the new episodes were removed due to some mysterious reason.
-
FOLY HUCK YOU GAIZ!!!
EPISODES 132-325 WILL BE POSTED ON MARCH 1!!!!
Awesome sauce. I have never heard of such a HUGE chunk of new episodes being done at once like this.

While we all seem to be playing catch up here, thought I'd chime in with a few updates:
-OP's back on free-TV in Mexico, starting with episode 207 (probably for HD purposes like Toonami in the States did). Interestingly, these airings have localized credits and title cards, as well as the show logo having no Katakana in it (first I've even seen that done before). Opening's still not dubbed though, of course.
-On Netflix, the dub is up to episode 325, with more on the way soon.
-Episode of Alabasta, Strong World, Film Z, Gold, and Stampede are also streaming across Netflix and HBO Max as well. Film Red is said to be coming to theaters soon, dubbed.
Things are definitely on a roll there, good to see it!
-
Sorry to double post, but something else I found interesting... this recent TV airing is also using a localized To Be Continued card as well.
Sure hope someone out there recording these episodes, because I find this stuff fascinating.... -
There are rumors that Eduardo Garza is the new director.
