What are you talking about Daz? The Sunny isn't in Dressrosa.
Oh, right.
But they're boarding the same ship, which would allow for some island sortie festivities, is my point.

Now I wonder who will back up Luffy's decision and who will target him with bakusui boshi.
A pretty good chapter.

Funny thing is, we have no idea where the hell Sunny is now. It might just be in Dressrosa waters at the moment.
worries about Fujitora
Trust me when I say, Fujitora won't lose. He's going to get mad and Law will sense the danger Luffy is in shambles them all onto the ship, not something Luffy would want but he also needs to live to see his crew again, a fight with Fuji when he's serious, doesn't have Birdcage stopping his meteors and no civilians or marines around but the enemy equals what's tattooed on Law's knuckles. Anyway, peace.
I've noticed something while reading the chapter on Mangastream :
*I don't know if the translation is correct, they may have mistaken that sentence
Would that mean that all D. will one day live a tragic experience ?
Luffy would be w/ Ace's death. But then, what about Dragon ?
Garp ?
I guess they lived something really tragic in the past, that would be why Dragon decided to become a revolutionary, for example.
@Daz:
Oh, right.

Yeah we still might get the usual end of arc feast, but with gladiator bros on the ship. (and possibly Tontattas who are on the way)
Fuck those Dressrosans, really.
So I got it rigth two weeks in a row(granted it wasn't hard to get it right) Law really went to Sengoku, they had a cool conversation there, as for the rest the ending was pretty damn funny and cool but I'm assuming Law will come and pick up Luffy.
Great chapter. First time in years that I actually read an OP chapter while looking at the page number and thinking "please, don't end in the next page".
But what really amazed me this week is how much Sengoku's goat changed after the timeskip :ninja:
Fujitora blocking luffys attack for plot sake. Oda needed to make luffys statement look good. There is no way dofla can easily dodge gear 3rd but Fuji can't…
If fuji is anywhere serious, luffy should be captured next chapter. Luffy hasn't recovered yet and is already panting.
This has been bothering me for a while, there's a very important character missing in all this, where is Pwngoat?

I want to trust you when you say this.
But there is this little voice in the back of my head saying "People were of the same mind about Bastille and Burgess", and I can't help but worry.

Is there even a single relevant character in OP that hasn't had a tragic experience?
I know, Sengoku had to drop a line about how D's have similar fates, but I wouldn't mind a little more info. With all this build up, finally finding out what the deal with Ds are, might be disappointing.
Why everyone thinks there will be a fight with Fujitora? Fujis face doesn't show any aggressive feelings after being hit by Luffy. Furthermore Fuji thinks that the World Government is rotten from the inside. So it's basically the same as Luffy thinks of it. Why should Fuji go against Luffy if he thinks he is right? Fuji is a reasonable man, he understands that silly punch.
Perhaps Fuji will take some more hits as some kind of redemption for the things that Dodgy did and than he will stop Luffy in a cool way.

It was eaten by a red hound.
But the goat isn't the mark of the fleet admiral, it was with him since his admiral days.
I enjoyed this chapter, I wish it had happened sooner though.
Glad to see that Luffy is ready to take care of business. After all the appearance of an admiral was the one and only time Luffy had ever run away from a fight and even ordered his crew to do so(I remember being very surprised when that happened).
The conversation between Law and Sengoku was nice(by the way do we know his first name?), did a good job of fleshing him up a bit more and also adds more dimensions to Rocinante.
Hmm, is it relevant that Barto was the only one who talked to Fujitora? also he was the one standing up to him while everyone else stood behind him and his barrier.
For an arc that featured Marines so heavily, its disappointing to see that they didn't really change despite being told otherwise.
Does Cavendish have a crew? if not he might be joining up with the heart pirates.
Wish we saw more of Otsuru but I'm ok with her badassness being off screened. This way I can't be disappointed by reality.
You may be right. I'm just sick of dwarfs and princesses ) I just can't stand their faces…
Then don't look at the panel they were in, just breeze over them and enjoy the rest, such as the panel of marines that was above the one panel of dwarves in that page.
This has been bothering me for a while, there's a very important character missing in all this, where is Pwngoat?
He seems to have replaced him with the Gorilla or maybe he just doesn't travel with it.
But the goat isn't the mark of the fleet admiral, it was with him since his admiral days.
I can see Akainu making a BBQ of it for Sengoku letting Red Hair having the bodies of Newgate and Ace.
The interactions between Sengoku and the gorilla are awesome and, dare I say? Even heart-warming. Sengoku has become such an awesome fella during the past two years.
And I don't give a shit how awful MS's translation is, the best line of 2015 is, hands down, "Here's a faceful of Tropical Punch!".
Seriously. It's a fucking hilarious line.
I don't travel with my shredder either.

It was really cute. I wonder if he learnt how to handle gorillas as he worked with Garp.
Just read MS version.
Umm, "here's a faceful of tropical punch"?
MP: "Imma sock you in the face!"
Not sure which one I prefer/is worse.
Btw, tropical punch. That really cracked me up.
The Translation was fine! only off bit was Bart making frog noises.
Every sentence made sense, nothing too contradictory about luffy's last statement to Fujitora. Luffy has fought admirals before and knows he isn't yet at that level yet, But just like how he went after Z in the movie, he can't be the pirate king running away with his tail between his legs every time he gets outmatched.
Good chapter and surprisingly good translation on Panda's part.

Oh, beat me to it.
It's especially hilarious when you google it and find out it means "to have a plastic lawn flamingo inserted into one's anus". Who comes up with that shit?
Oh look, I care more about sengoku, law and their connection rosinante? maybe it's because i had more time with sengoku and law. This arc, have better characters with meh characters right next to each other really highlights the arcs' flaws.
Anyway, fujitora is really flexing his muscles. Love it.
Of the minor events in this chapter the one I was a bit disappointed in was to find that Manshelly was knocking out the Marines by near-accident. Maybe if the dialogue was more of a 'is it morally alright to knock out the marines?' or 'do you think I should have told them they'd need a nap afterwards?' it would have worked better. As it stands she's possibly the most nothing character in this arc, even as a plot device.
The mangastreams version is far better, but I'm still a little underwhelmed by Law's meeting with Sengoku. It's probably because I thought that Sengoku had more than an indirect hand in Law getting to the point he has. It confused me that he agreed to have a private chat with him otherwise.
It was touching that they both got to remember Rocinante but thought that 'you finished his mission, I always suspected that was what you were after. He would be happy' made a bit more thematic sense than what was there.
I thought it was a bit strange him pointing out the Barrells Pirates disappeared as I was pretty sure they had an island full of corpses to figure that one out.
The big thematic point Oda got absolutely right is Luffy picking a fight with Fuji-'I don't understand what collateral damage means'-Tora. It totally underlines this is not two years ago or even Fishman Island, as the escape-by-allies is paralleling. Luffy's playing in the big leagues, even if he can't yet defeat an Admiral he'd better be able to bloody one's nose.
This also feels in someways even more dramatic than his beating down Dofla; because it is so thematically on-point and yet feels even less predictable.
Be interesting how Oda plays this out.
THAT IS MY KING OF PIRATES!
Lu-Lu-Lu-Lu-Lu-Luffyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah we still might get the usual end of arc feast, but with gladiator bros on the ship. (and possibly Tontattas who are on the way)

I don't give a crap about the citizens either, but hated as some of them were, I still feel the named residents deserve an invitation.
In my minds eye I can see Gatz commentating a drunken match between Bluegilly and Ideo, Usopp and Franky coordinating 1000+ dwarfs doing the chopstick-basket dance, Law transplanting the leg of Masked Asshole Doflamingo Underling onto Kyros, etc. And it'd be a chance to see Rebecca happy and laughing, as opposed to tense and crying.
Maybe it'll be a simultaneous thing; Luffy parties on the ship, while Dressrosa celebrates Rikus return.
Sengoku considered Corazon like a son.
Corazon considered Law like a son.
So Sengoku-Law relationship and feelings are almost the same between Garp-Ace. I don’t believe that Sengoku didn't arrest Law because he is not active anymore.
I think that Sengoku understand now how Garp felt during Ace execution and why he wasn't able to punch Luffy.
Marines consider Garp the strongest man, a legend, and he gave us proof of this at Marineford.
I had a prediction about luffy awakened his devil fruit (in the previous chapter 797) and now its 'confirmed' for me that this is true
Because in the dialogues when luffy held the marine soldiers down to the ground (without Haki conqueror) when he escaped with Rebecca. Now im pretty sure about it ,
also i believe that he will use his new awakened devil fruit skill against Fujitora and all these things up in the skyI cant w8 for the next chapter , it would be epic ,
i feel like this chapter was a setup for the next one
Great chapter… But why i am the only one that is bothered about the "D"... Sengoku as a former fleet admiral seems to know quite a bit info about the "D"..
Sengoku's scene delivered, I'm pretty satisfied with this chapter
And I don't give a shit how awful MS's translation is, the best line of 2015 is, hands down, "Here's a faceful of Tropical Punch!".

You are kidding, right? They managed to fuck up the two most important things in this chapter. It can't get worse than this lol.

It was confirmed this week that the marines dropped because of overdoing their blood donations to Mansherry. Theres nothing indicating Luffy has awakened his powers.
How dare you guys suggest that Sengoku replaced pwngoat! He just gave his pet the gorilla fruit!
@Daz:

Yes , u are right
i feel like i forgot like i skipped this thing , which is the reason of this down fall
decent chapter any way , i enjoyed the panels
about the awake of the devil fruit , i feel that it will be late , after dressrosa then
I want to know the content of Hancock's letter.
So, is this Oda's way of saying "Let's get on with the fucking program, boys!"? I mean, we got a glimpse of what kind of challenge an admiral can provide from Aokiji nearly 500 chapters ago. And since then the only way for Luffy and his comrades to survive such an encounter was to run away. It's fully understandable that Luffy is tired of being helpless in these kind of situations, he's just gonna face it or die in the process. I will not be surprised and/or dissapointed if we actually have a real fight with Fujitora in the next couple of chapters, because well… It was bound to happen one day, no?
Oda did a great job in providing nostalgic Water 7 ending, but adding more tension at the same time. I really can't wait to see what happens next, and I don't even care that we are still on this goddamn island.
I'm really starting to like Law more and more. The face he makes at the end of the conversation with Sengoku is a face every character needs to make at least once.
Great chapter.
Im sick of these people belitteling and underestimating luffy everytime do you want oda to add another 2 years skip so you could be satisfied?
Doffla threatened to kill Fujitora.. and Luffy destroyed Doffla even if he fought against Don Chinjao and many more oppenents, he was already weakened.. He fought a 500 million berry dude and sent him flying.. (now don't tell me people helped luffy n shit..) If it wasn't for the executives.. Doffla would've been owned in less time.
Akainu ordered to Fuji to bring Luffy's head to Marijoa. Fuji ain't stupid to kill someone he had faith into.. We could see a Garp/Vs/Luffy again, Fuji pretending he lost to them cuz there was no reinforcements and many pirates to handle. Its possible that his time as an admiral can be short… Then he can go on his own and destroy every remaining shichibukai
Anyways.. Luffy ain't gonna lose to Fuji this time. I'm expectin' zoro to have a word in this fight too;
F**k the marines! Its the time for the StrawHats to shine.
NO ITS NOT FINE. See what Aohige same say in the early pages of the threat or read mangastream version, it has a bit of slag but its have the meaning right!
Just read MS version.
Umm, "here's a faceful of tropical punch"?
MP: "Imma sock you in the face!"

Mangastream is gangsta, their translator thinks adding fucks and jokes for no reason is awesome and contributes to his better translation.
Because in the dialogues when luffy held the marine soldiers down to the ground (without Haki conqueror) when he escaped with Rebecca.
What?! No. The soldiers were sewed to the ground by the dwarfs / fairys, like they did with Robin and Usopp a hundred chapters ago.
In the end Law will teleport Luffy away after a short scuffle he won't have is way as it relates to fighting Fujitora
So Sengoku is into gorillas now ? His goat must be relieved.
The addition of the gorilla is so weird but that's Oda for you. He likes to try to surprise us so maybe he was all "They'll all be expecting the goat so HA I'll throw them a gorilla instead!" That and he likes animals. Also a good film technique is giving your actors something to do while they talk. Makes the scenes more kinetic or whatever. So by having Sengoku be eating, then share the food with a gorilla while speaking, it makes it more interesting.
I got a full mangapanda abridged plan now for the chapter, but work keeps me from puttin it together yet. Will be here & the abridged thread within 24h
I can imagine the epicness of all Luffy's ally backing him up, posing for all out battle like Shanks' at the end of Marineford. The chills! That's going to be an epic 2 pager spread, if ever.
I want this. A lot. That could be how the fight resolves; Fujitora realizes he'd either lose to all those pirates, or that it isn't worth the trouble (he strikes me as slightly lazy, though I know a lot of it is calculated). You get a "Yeah, you'd better back off" moment from everyone, then they sail away. Er mer gerd that sounds great.
2 page spread, for sure.
Is the gorilla the one freed from Sugar's curse in chapter 743?
He wasn't with Sengoku before this chapter, was he?
I think it's the same.
