Let me start with that: Sengoku and Law? A great character moment for both of them. Definetely a highest point of the chapter, imho. Which is something I've never thought I'd say. Even if it did came kinda out of nowhere.
As for the other stuff… hmm. How do I say this...?
Don't get me wrong, the art is great. The movemement is fluid, and the images have much power to them, but...
Ekhm.
I cannot for the life of me root against Fuji in this fight. I want him to win, for so many reasons.
Like the fact that while I know Fuji to be a morally upright individual, more than a half of Luffy's allies are 'actual' criminals, unrepentent murderers whose brutality was shown on panel, often for flimsy reasons, like Bartolomeo being known for murdering innocent people, and tortured and mutilated a man on panel for not sharing his love for Luffy.
Or, that he is the underdog in this fight, both from meta reasons, because Oda has developed a taste for worfing high ranking marines lately, and practical reasons, being outnumbered by several times and because he gave up some of his blood for purpoes of healing people.
And I can't help myself but root for the underdog, you know?
Not to mention, if loses now, where do we go from there? First off, it severely hurts the hype Oda so painstakingly build for the Sakazuki's Marines after timeskip. Second, Luffy will have only Yonkou left as the opponents, and other Admirals. And while it may seem like a lot, this also means we will not longer be able to treat any antagonist that isn't Admiral or Yonkou seriously.
Not to mention, a lose would be essentially a death to Fuji as a character. As of now, he has many visually impressive feats, but no actual ones. If his first serious fight ever will end in his defeat, how can we take him seriously from then on? Ability should more that stated, it should also be visible in the storyline.
So...
Go kick their asses, Fuji! I believe in you!
Not to mention, we've already had nearly two hundred chapters of "Luffy and Crew are super strong post-timeskip!", stuff. Though it is particulary a personal opinion, I enjoy the story more when the protagonist is forced to overcome obstacles with great difficult, and it does not always end up with his win.
A win against Admiral, when they are not even a week deep into New World? This seems slightly silly.
So... my hope for the next chapter? I want Fuji to have a scene that is on par with the first appearances of other Admirals. Which were:
1. Beating Luffy and Robin, while putting them basically on the brink of death. Oh, and effortlessly stopping Zoro and Sanji. Aokiji
2. Beating four captains, Zoro, fighting Rayleigh to a stand-off and catching 500 pirates as an afterthought. Kizaru
3. Beating two commanders of revolutionary army, a shichibukai, two yonkou commanders, killing one that happened to be protagonists brother, and ripping off half of head of the strongest man alive. Akainu
While I don't think Fuji can match the last one, at the very least, he should have something to show for himself. Perhaps he could take out allies that don't have much in terms of personality and story importance? Dunno.
What I hope will happen, is that Fuji will beat Luffy. But that seems unlikely.
Then again, Luffy always boasts, and half the time, he ends up getting his ass handed to him, so... who knows?
I still wonder how are they going to leave though. They don't appear to have a ship.
