I've watched the movie in a cinema in Italy and… well, it was GREAT. Many characters involved and unusual fights. Maybe my favourite OP movie after the 6th.

finally managed to watch the movie..and i must say,i liked it, way more than strong world and film Z to be honest.
movie seemed to have more "meat" than the two other ones, and the enemies for once looked like a real threat instead of the token enemies that are there only to be easily dispatched…
only one problem with the movie
! regarding the big "surprise" of the movie, the double-double crossing with carina that acted like she was setting up a trap for the mugi but instead the trap was for tesoro.
the porblem is..how the hell did they se up that huge water explosion? tesoro was watching them the whole time, when and how they rigged the whole system? can't really think of any way where they could plan something so massive while doing all that other stuff
! also..we saw the meeting between the strawhats and carina and she talked about the money, when exctly did she told them the truth and why didn't told them from the beginning? the first part when she presents her plan as a way to steal money seems there just to trick the audience but makes zero sense in the context of the story.

On an another note.... this is such bullshit.
IGN released both the FILM Gold trailer and the sample for the new Dragonball Super dub at around the same time and the reaction is like night and day.
The Film Gold video features nothing but people complaining about the English dub and how English Luffy sounds like trash.
But the DBS video contains nothing but praise for the voices and how happy they are for the dub coming out.
That's the difference in fanbases between the two shows and I gotta say, I'm really hating our fanbase right about now. It's so fucking vile... so hateful. You can clearly see it if you compare comments between both videos. Like... holy shit, I'm ashamed of our fandom and how unreasonable and disrespectful we are when it comes to the dub....
And yet the DBZ fans are nothing but welcoming to it. It's not fair, I tell ya....

The One Piece Film Gold Blu-ray Golden Limited Edition box set includes a special treasure chest with padlock and film logo, 100 plastic gold coins with film logo, and the anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. Pony Canyon is releasing the set for 28,000 yen (about US$246).
For those pirates among fans who already have their own treasure chests, Pony Canyon is also offering other limited and regular editions of the film. ! Tesoro was definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie and one of the best movie villains pretty much due to his Enel vibe and his total control over Gran Tesoro. It's a shame his backstory was rushed and the details had to be relegated to Volume 777, because if it was in the film in full, Tesoro would be the best movie villain and even surpass Z. It was interesting to compare him to Z, both had sad backstories (though almost all of Tesoro's life was sad), and while Z was on a straightforward though extreme quest to perform justice, Tesoro has basically lost it and does everything he possibly can to keep everyone under his control. And of course, the final battle against him had a lot more oomph to it, with the Marine intervention, Gear Fourth, and Tesoro's giant golem as opposed to Luffy and Z engaging in Haki fisticuffs for several minutes until one of them collapses. Tesoro shooting a laser beam out of his eye may make no sense whatsoever, but it was really cool.
! Tesoro's presence in the film also aided its setting, as in Film Z the Straw Hats just visited some random islands that I barely even remember, but here they're in a place where everything is under Tesoro's power. Gran Tesoro was FABULOUS, and I'm not sure I've ever seen One Piece animation that good. And it's Tesoro's control over everything that gives the film its heist theme, and I really enjoyed the hotel infiltration. Also we need a Turtle Car Race video game.
! Some notes on other characters: I liked how Zoro was finally given a (semi-)challenging opponent. Tanaka was cool and all, but wasn't in the film that much especially considering his appearances in the tie-ins, and his fighting was pretty laughably weak. Baccarat's power was slightly confusing, but it all worked out in the end and Usopp's final attack against her was genius. Out of the billions of new characters revealed before the film's release, the only one with any real relevance was the young boy with the missing tooth called Rikka. Unlike many children, he wasn't that annoying, and his sister was kinda cute, but his overall presence wasn't expected. Raise Max the Revolutionary only played a big role in one scene, which wasn't too long after we met him, so his character just kind of fell flat for me.
! Also, it might have been easy to predict this but Sabo, Koala, Akainu, Lucci, and Spandam were only in the film to hype it before its release, and the film would have been as good or better without them. Koala and Akainu only received 30 sec of screentime each, Sabo and Lucci were only there at the end to have a "fight" that was exactly one punch, then cutaway, then Lucci leaving the fight. Ironically Spandam was the one with the most screentime, but his defeat scene felt tacked on and only seemed to serve the purpose of Rikka getting the chance to fight.
! Also, while I do enjoy the twists and turns that took place, Carina's double twist felt pretty off to me, as it was kind of hard to go back and make sense of their true plan in the midst of their fake plan. How exactly did they flood Gran Tesoro with seawater?
! But overall this was an amazing movie and currently my favorite one overall. I will probably like it even more once I see it as more than a horribly pirated copy.

This may be the first time neither Kohei Tanaka or Shiro Hamaguchi worked on the music for One Piece. I could have sworn that Hamaguchi was composing this movie

! The part about the double treason from Karina was kinda expected, but it was horribly told. There's also the issue about Nami's flashback and how she only remembers one part at first and the rest later, pretty unbelievable

Honestly I always support the Funimation commercial releases but this is the first One Piece where I am intentionally not trying to see a fansub release since it's coming out in theaters over here (this was also the case with Naruto The Last and Boruto when they got limited releases). It's going be interesting to see how many people are going to see this movie at my local theater since it will give me a good gauge on One Piece's "popularity" with the anime fandom.
For example stuff live Dragon Ball Z events would fill an entire theater to standing room only, the Monogatari movies and Love Live would sell out at the art house theaters. Ghibli and Hosada movies would always attract a decent crowd, while stuff like Digimon would draw about a handful of people.
