I'm also guessing that Kaido attacked Kid on accident thinking it was Luffy. This could he to a quick or forgetfulness as a result of his old age that we haven't seen yet, or it could be a result of his subordinates misinformin him as to where Luffy and Law were and gave him the location of a different Pirate Alliance instead lol. Man is one species. Creatures includes a plethora of species, including man. Oda is implying that Kaido is above every other fighter in the series right now, there will be a lot more development into his character and he will most likely have some crucial flaws that lead to his downfall that canmt be foreseen now explaining how he eventually will lose, but as it stands he is the greatest fighter in the series. I don't get people, he was always stated as the strongest creature in the world, and still people were saying Kaido would be weaker to WB. Now they get his intro and everyone thinks he's "Roger level" or, "Prime Time WB level"
People need to understand that the Yonkou are all equal and they battle each other all the time.
He's not an immortal machine that can't be stopped, this chapter was needed to show him being worthy as a Yonkou, and he is.

That doesn't make sense considering Kaido's minion was clearly searching for him ("Kaidou-sama, where are you?!").
It is implied Kaido was leaving and didn't hear his minion.
The hype for Kaidou sure is present today, but he sure is stoppable by each yonkou, Shanks did already so before the war. (even when there wasn´t an all out fight)

I think the yonkou could all be considered that in their own way and knowing that neither of them was able to get the upper hand over so many years confirms that.
Kaidou might by raw power, Shanks by combining intelligence and sword fighting etc. be the strongest in the world.

Well we were all speculating how Kidd and co would even get passed a Yonkous forces and commanders, and if so, could the 3 captains fresh take on a Yonkou.

I do wonder what causes that weakness in swimming. I think the "sea devil" might be a myth and that it's something in the DF that in a way poisons the body in a way that sea water can't be touched and will weaken the person, sort of like an allergy.
