Yep, Gatz, Sabo, Riku, and Fujitora are all probable locks for the cover in addition to our two big fighters. Law's got a good chance too. Everyone else is iffy.
I wonder if the next chapter will feature a more concious cliffhanger ending in order to create a good final chapter for the volume.

Given the current situation with the predicament the WG has found itself in, I would say that Fujitora and Sakazuki are going to find themselves on the cover.

I'd like to think that this volume will go back to a "minimalist" cover, namely because it's been almost 2 years since the last one with Volume 68 only featuring just 4 characters. So this one would be like: Luffy v. Doffy and Gatz (maybe have a Kaido tease in the background?)

Not much predicting this time around, is there? Well my bet's on chapters 789 through 795 (a paltry 169 pages of comic, I know, but unless chapter 797 gives us something big this week it's the only fitting end point). "Heaven and Earth" from chapter 790 as the title. Luffy, Gyats, King Riku, Issho, Doflamingo and Rocinante featuring on the cover. Colour could be either a Donquixote Family pink or a warm Dressrosa orange.
I half wouldn't mind sketching out the layout I've pictured for it, but who knows if I'll have the time before official pics drop.

Let's rezz this thread, although we're still a month away from the volume release. I'm guessing it's going to be a minimalist cover as well, since the events in it are pretty straightforward. A G4 Luffy vs. Doffy, with Gatz below them. Maaaaybeee, just maybe, Sabo and/or Fujitora in the background (since we have Sabo vs. Burgess resolution as well as Sabo's backstory, and Fujitora's scene with the prostration and argument with Sakazuki).

It would be pretty cool if the cover was an adaptation of one of the scenes, like Luffy's death-glare when he stops Doflamingo with his foot from killing Law, or just an unorthodox layout with Luffy attacking from above and Doffy shooting strings from below. Something reflecting turning the landscape into threads would be awesome too.

hopefully this volume or the next we'll have SBS's that shed light on some loose-ends of the donquixote family such as…like any particular reason for Lao G's costumes? if Baby 5 and Buffalo are codenames, what are their real names? Machvise's official devil fruit name? and what's with his..."tail"?

Probably not Big Mom since that could reveal some major plot. Maybe she actually is a giant, maybe it's a DF, maybe she is just that fucking fat. Not to mention looking like Lola possibly. And Kaidou won't show up on 79, if I'm not mistaken, so he is also out. Maybe on 80, but still doubtful.

Why is Doflamingo just standing there?
These kind of fan made things really irk me, because as much as you want to ape Oda, you can never be as good as Oda. Heck, this guy isn't even close. With the exception of Gatz, none of them feel like their acting in character. Oda's very good at this, none of the characters should feel like their posing seriously for a camera. Artists shouldn't try to be impersonators of another artist. They'll just end up as an inferior clone. Actually, those who mimic others tend to be the ones who don't understand why the artists they copy are so good in the first place.
I feels the same way towards all of these fake Dragonball sequels (you know, Dragon Ball Super and the manga which is on Mangastream) -

I realized this while reading a post from Daz, he noted that Bleach characters are always looking like fashion models, no matter what the context of the colourspread was.

Hopefully we will be getting a picture of the cover in like 10 days if history repeats itself. Volume 78 was released on July 3d and we had someone post a picture of on June 18th. So hopefully we will be getting it around that time again, or earlier if we are lucky. I'm still hoping to see Gear 4 on the cover since we got some Gear 4 action in this volume too.
