I didn't know that was a feature. Is it Web only?
I just checked with the app version and it seems like that's the case, you can't select it. On web version you right click the video and click "English alternate" subtitle option.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

Joker Game is quit thrilling. Like a serious version of Kingsman.
Joker Game has me intrigued so far.
I ended up liking BSD, as I expected that I would. Art is just great. I liked humour a lot as well and just the general atmosphere in the anime.
Can't say much about plot of course since it's only an episode out and I pretty much knew how it would go, cause I read too much stuff on the internet.
More Stuff I've watched:
Sailor Moon Crystal Season III - The previews weren't lying. It's a considerable improvement over what I've seen of Sailor Moon Crystal. It had much more personality, in terms of the characters, which was much assisted by the fact that much of the stiffness was gone in terms of animation. The transformations looked great.
Macross Delta - Pretty much what I expected. In terms of Mavross I've only watched Frontier, which I thought was average overall. Despite the clunky CG, I did enjoy the catchy J-Pop songs and the fancy costumes. Frontier had really nice music and spectacle despite my problems with it (the composer was Yoko Kanno - no surprise) It's pretty much the same for Delta. I saw the pre-screening version first, the actual TV version had just a little added. The composer isn't Yoko Kanno, but the songs so far are the same catchy J-pop stuff. It's entertaining for the spectacle stuff to me.
Bungako Stray Dogs - This had some really great animation and was entertaining, but I'm not quite sure about the characters yet, they are kinda "eh" in a wierd way. Haven't endeared themselves to me quite yet. Love the opening and ending.
Twinstar Exorcist - Extremely entrtaining shounen. I love some of the aesthetic choices, when it comes to the attack names and some of the shading during certain scenes, plus the fights and stuff in the "different world" place.
So far, there really hasn't been a single series I haven't enjoyed at least a little so far. That makes 6 at least decent starts. I don't think there has been so much stuff I've liked since I started following by season. The weakest so far is Lost Village.
I also caught a stream of Kabaneri Of The Iron fortress, but that was incomplete. It did look absolutely gorgeous. I did also really like the opening. My favorites so far this season are probably Bungako Stray Dog's and Kabaneri's. I liked Twinstar Exorist opening's song, at least. I assume it was the opening song at the end of that.
I got bored and put together a short clip from The Lost Village
I enjoyed Bungako Stray Dogs. The agency aspect reminds me of Blood Blockade Battlefront though. Overall I also liked the music.
Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress is a good AoT clone. Themes are almost beat by beat AoT, but I don't mind. The writing isn't a mess like Seraph's so far. It's definitely better than Guilty Crown's first episode. As expected from the PVs I also adore the character designs along with the art. It's alerting that it seems like they haven't finished the op animation yet, but in general the episode looked really good. The op song and OST are really good. So if all else fails we'll hopefully at least have the music and animation.
Space Patrol Luluco was exactly what I wanted. Whacky art, whacky humor: Trigger.
Made losing the Sekkou boys less hard.
Space Patrol definitely caught my attention more than i expected and i like having a nice little surprise
There's barely any shows this season that warrant my interest, but those which do seem to be alright. So far I've seen Joker Game only though. An interesting setting that utilizes all the different facets of spying. Assuming it does stick with that approach and keeps an appropriate amount of realism, it could turn into one entertaining show.
Edit: Shingeki no Train Zombies isn't even trying to hide that it's blatantly copying its titan counterpart. Despite that there are a few things that piqued my interest (like the MC being pretty gutsy) meaning the show's a keeper for now.
Ah man I'm thirsting for a sports show this season. How could they leave me high and dry over spring?

I feel your pain, bud, but there's some rugby anime coming in summer and the great Haikyuu will be returning a season later. Hold out till then.
Update on my shows
Speaking of sports series, they need to remake Ashita no Joe.
The only series that interests me so far are JJBA Part 4 and Joker Game.

Yeah I'll try and hold out. There's a football anime airing in Summer too called Days so Summer should be fun.
I was really looking forward to Kuromukuro, PA Work's mech show celebrating the company's 15th anniversary, but it looks like Netflix picked up the show so I don't think we'll get it until they dump it all at once which is a bummer. Maybe someone will fansub.
I was expecting Bungou Stray Dogs to be good. But it is fantastic. It looks great, it's fun and thrilling.
Got to watch this one.

Speaking of sports anime to redo…I would be 1000% happy if they redid Eyeshield 21 to actually match Murata's style and to fully follow the story.
Definitely feeling the sports gap with Ace no Diamond and Haikyuu gone. Prince of Stride was less interesting than Free. Is Baby Steps coming back in summer?
I feel I dont have enough to watch this season lol. I've liked Stray Dogs so far. Jojo is turning out amazing. Hero Academy I'll watch regardless. I'll probably drop Ace Attorney after I get to the part where I got stuck to see how to beat that part in the game lol.
Iron Fortress is as awesome as I was expecting it to be

Wow, yeah that first episode was amazing. Fast pacing, great music, cool visuals. I'm hooked.
Alright,
Sakamoto Desu Ga was fun, but it was pretty much just the one joke. Also, the opening kicked ass.
Aside from some cool visuals, Kiznaiver kind of left me indifferent. Cool op, as well.
Only Flying Witch left.
When it comes to wanting to see more Kabaneri takes the cake out of the premieres. That was 100% unbridled Araki. The whole thing was dripping with passion.
If I'd rank my stuff so far, I'd be
Kabaneri > My Hero Academia > Sakamoto Desu Ga > Twinstar Excorcist > Bungo Stray Dogs > Kiznaiver > Kuma Miko > Sailor Moon Crystal > Macross Delta > Lost Village
The first four I care and will probably stick with, though Sakamoto might end up quite repetitive. The middle three I might stick around depending on how they go (Kiznaiver and Stray Dogs left me pretty indifferent, particularly in the character department, they looked pretty, though), Kuma Miko is slice-of-life. The last three might be the first ones to go depending on where they go, I'm the least invested in those.
Nothing really has "vowed" me, though. The best ones are solid, the worst ones not very interesting.

What I wouldn't give to have that…
We do get Days (Soccer and made by Mappa) and All Out (Rugby) later this year so there's that at least.
I think there are a few interesting looking shows left, I'll share my thoughts on everything after they've aired.
Maybe Kiznaiver didn't convince much because it barely introduced the characters. While we were waiting for the fast paced action usually delivered by Trigger.
As for me, I really liked this first episode. I wonder where the plot will go.
and.. Flying Witch was just pretty cute, so the final line-up is:
Kabaneri > My Hero Academia > Sakamoto Desu Ga > Twinstar Exorcist > Bungo Stray Dogs > Kiznaiver > Kuma Miko > Flying Witch > Sailor Moon Crystal > Macross Delta > Lost Village
First 3 make me want ro see more for various reasons. Middle 5 I'll just see how they'll go, last 3 most likely to be dropped, least invested in them. What I do really like how there is so much different stuff. Now that the first episodes of everything have all aired, there really is a lot of different series. In terms of premises and aesthetics.
Yeah, Kiznaiver didn't really have a strong start. It's high concept, but I really have no clue where this is going or why I should be invested. The main gimmick was introduced awkwardly and it would be really weird if this group of students was the only group that's testing this project. Even given the weird seven deadly sin connection/reasoning, it's both a little heavy handed and not a strong enough link to justify the choice and it feels more like it's out of convenience. Also, only a couple of the characters show any promise, and the cloudcuckoolander doesn't really fit in as a high-school stereotype that the main cast is supposed to. I think most of all, though, the series so far just lacks the kind of flares that I expect and enjoy from Trigger.
I'll give this a few episodes, but the intro was kind of meh and disappointing.
Just caught the first episode of season 3 of Sailor Moon. I'm glad they ditched the cgi and lipstick. They all seem much more lively. And the attacks look really awesome. I feel I can start watching it again, although I still hate Chibi moon. She was always such a brat. Do you want to get unborn? That's how you get unborn.
I saw that Sakamoto desu ga? Oh man that's almost too much for me to watch. Lol. It's so completely ridiculous. Cool cooler coolest. Haha.
I also picked up Tanaka-kun is always listless. It's so extra slice of life. But it's weirdly endearing.
I hear this season of Crystal is looking much better. Dropped the first one halfway and wondering if it's worth sitting through the rest just to watch season 3.

I didn't bother with season 2. It's my least favorite and it still seemed to carry over the problems from season 1. 3 is giving me hope though. It felt short fuel to everyone getting a transformation and brief one liner. But my favorite scouts are on the scene now. So it's much improved so far. I'd say give it a shot.
Just watched Flying Witch. I've read the manga before and I wasn't expecting such a high quality adaptation that captured the comedy aspect so well. Going to keep watching it. If anyone's looking for a slice of life anime with a twist that makes it really enjoyable, Flying Witch is that anime.
Sakamoto Desu Ga was funny as hell.It was soo simple yet soo enjoyable.
Yeah but I got tired of the running gag in the middle of the first episode.
Sakamoto would be a great recurring character in an anime like Gintama. But I can't follow an anime where he is the main character.
I've seen people say it'd be a good short and I'd agree.
Still made me laugh and one of the first episodes of the season to make me care, so I'll stick around.
Darn you Hero Academy, how can a mostly silly and gung-ho anime like that create such wonderful emotional scenes? I have to hold back else I'll be caught up on the manga in no time even though I want to be surprised by and enjoy its adaption #_#
Thoughts so far:
My Hero Academia: Awesome! I never read the manga, but the first two episodes makes me want to read it all ASAP! I heard some people complaining about the pace but I think it's perfect. All Might is a bro.
Kiznaiver: Very interesting anime. Trigger never fails to impress me. I'm really wondering where the show will go at this point.
Bungou Stray Dogs: Best first episode of the season for me. The characters, the humor, the setting, I love it all! Some jokes feel out of place though, but it's the last of my concerns.
Re:Zero: Meh. It's alright, I guess, but I don't see how this show is already getting praised so much. The time reset thing isn't new, and I find it really out of place in a fantasy setting. Dialogue is weird too and the MC is dumb as a rock. Beautiful animation and the plot looks like it could go somewhere interesting, though.
Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Huh. It's very similar to attack on titan, but looks more interesting to me. Very curious to see if it will deserve the hype it's getting. Yay for steampunk.
Still need to watch Joker Game, Sakamoto Desu Ga? and Sousei no Onmyouji.
Another shitty Macross series… damn. A great insult to SDF Macross/DYRL.
How did he stop the Kabane infection though ?
My guess is the thing on his hand + willpower. It was focused on a couple of times throughout the episode. If strangling himself really did stop it, that's dumb. But I almost don't care. Keyword is almost. It got the themes going - I feel like it might end up a Parasyte thing, slowly going to consume his humanity with the pendant thing holding it back.
Is it just me or does Kiznaiver's opening suspiciously sound like Take On Me? It bothered me the moment I heard it.
That night shift crew on the drawbridge in Kabaneri Iron Fortress was the most incompetent and dumbest bunch of idiots I've ever seen. Aside from that, it's ok. Will watch further.

Right? Earlier during the day, they had the first train stop before opening the gates while here, during the night no less, they left the gates wide open cause fuck it. It's as if they were asking for it.
@RamistaR:
How did he stop the Kabane infection though ?
By suppressing the blood flow, not allowing it to reach the brain. Looking at it from a medical POV, it's quite out there tbh but whatever. There's gotta be something you can do to avoid turning into a fast-ass zombie and it also made MC-kun seem pretty badass.
Also, Haifuri is awesome. Girls und Boats all the way.
Wow. Sailor Moon is such a strong improvement, 2nd solid episode! It's like night and day in terms of energy compared to the earlier episodes I've seen.

I know, right? My only real critique is that I wish half the episode wasn't taken up with transformation lol. Although they are super cool to look at. But I feel like I'm watching someone trigger the Knights of the Round attack lol.
In the end it looks like I picked up five new shows for a total of eight this season. That's quite a full viewing schedule for me.
Ace Attorney: I Object to Your Truth! I was burned fairly badly by the last video game anime I watched, and there are some very notable rough patches in these first two episodes but the director earned my trust with Space Brothers and the second episode was a considerable improvement over the first, so I'm willing to give this a try. The pattern so far leads me to believe that the investigation-focused episodes are going to be better than the courtroom-based ones since the animators have more freedom there. We shall see. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Everything I've heard about this part suggests that it's very likely going to be my favorite, since as I mention in the previous season's thread I like the concept of mixing together superpowers and more down-to-earth settings and plots. Not that you can really call anything Jojo-related "down-to-earth", but that's the gist of my point. This is also where I've heard the storytelling gets legitimately good (as opposed to the fun, but definitely "turn your brain off" quality of Parts 2 and 3) and the first two episodes came out really strong. Not to mention that the opening is such a joy to listen to. Hopefully this'll prompt Shueisha to print come out with Part 4 Jojonium volumes, and Viz'll bring them over since they seem to be doing so well. Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - RE: 0096 I don't really know why I'm watching this given that I watched the OVAs this past summer and I'm not sure it's worth sitting through a recut that's slower-paced since it's doled out in twenty-three minute chunks rather than hour-long plus ones for the five minutes of new footage that're bound to show up here and there. Actually, wait, I do know why I'm watching this: for the prettily-animated giant robot fights.
**Concrete Revolutio: Superhuman Fantasy - The Last Song
S**till confusing, because apparently the writers expect the audience to have a photographic memory concerning everything that happened in the previous season despite it being like four months ago and very disjointed. Seems like they're still jumping around in the timeline with flashforwards and flashbacks and everything and I dunno. At least the color palette doesn't hurt my eyes anymore; maybe watching Jojo has desensitized me towards it. Kiznaiver I picked this up on a lark, and the three thoughts that dominated my mind during the first episode were "The art style and cinematography are really, really strong", "Goddammit, not Wet Noodle Anime Protagonist #4345346720", and finally "This likes using a whole lot of words to say a whole lot of nothing". Fortunately the first of the three won out, so I'm in. This is definitely trying to be more intellectual than Kill la Kill, at any rate, and I am indeed curious as to where the heck things are going to go.
I've been trying to pin down what bothers me about Kuma Miko. Yeah, the mythology joke in the first episode was strange, but there were a few times throughout the second episode where it feels awkward in telling it's jokes. Some feel kind of clumsy(?) in execution. I was looking forward to this because it looked super cute and funny, too. Gonna give it a few more eps.
So I finally got round to watching the first episode of Re:Zero. I've never sat through something with dialogue and characters as tedious as this. The MC just constantly feels the need to comment on each and every troupe that comes up and good God the girl introduced in episode 1 was awful. Just listening to her speak was mentally draining. It's just a constant stream of consciousness coming out of her mouth, I don't know if it's supposed to be an 'endearing quirk' or something but it is legitimately more infuriating than Fi from Squidward sword.
Anyone agree this is the best ending of the Spring Season and maybe Best ending of the Year?
Great season so far.
Among the "new" anime (meaning either original or an adaptation of a manga I haven't read), my favourite is Joker Game.
Kiznaiver and Kabaneri have great potential as well.
My other picks : MHA, JJBA P4, Twin Star Exorcists, Bungou Straight Dogs, Adventures of Sinbad, Phoenix Wright, Sakamoto desu ga?, Lost Village, Endride, Tonkatsu DJ
I'm likely to drop a few of them (Lost Village, Phoenix Wright and Endride probably).
And I'm also picking sequels of every anime I've watched before : Rinne, Ushio to Tora and Terra Formars.
It's a shame there are no more sport anime to follow this season (I miss my weekly Ace of Diamond episode) and no great mecha anime (not counting Gundam since I've already watched Unicorn) but with that many good anime to follow it's going to be fine.
Revenge is gonna be the worst anime of the season IMO.
Episode 1 was utterly terrible(they turned a seinen series into a shounen):
The source material itself isn't that good to begin with.
and no great mecha anime (not counting Gundam since I've already watched Unicorn) but with that many good anime to follow it's going to be fine.
May wanna keep an eye on Kuromukuro with Okamura Tensai directing. Too early to tell, but it seems like it might end up being pretty good.
Twin Star Exorcists's opening is great. Love it. The series itself is generic shounen, but entertaining generic shounen. Not quite My Hero Academia in execution, but still good (so far). What I'm worried about is the female lead becoming irrelevant. The series seems to play up the equal strength, hence being called "Twinstar Exorcist" and them having to be a couple and that. Can't have that when one part becomes token love interest to be saved and cheer on the protagonist or something like that.
I've watched the first two episodes of JJBA and even though I'm not a gore fan, I adore the animation and I just? I'm so excited again? I enjoyed parts 3 and the Egypt section (YES I CRIED AGAIN) but gosh…
I also need to check out the Sakamoto Desu Ga? because I have seen wonderful things about it (such as a protagonist so cool he's just. so insanely cool. what the fuck. and a chubby character not played for laughs and is actually seen positively and as a model as well? SIGN ME UP)
