This is nice. The VAH line still looks good. I've just started to get back into OP figures. My FAZ Sanji Battle Ver. finally arrived and he's great. I instantly felt a need to get a Luffy though to display with him and Zoro.

None of the FAZ Luffy's were doing it for me, so i've just bought the SCultures Gear 4th as it looks to be in scale! Can anyone confirm?

Unfortunately due to the damn Brexit, it's made importing to the UK a whole lot more expensive!! Set me back £30 with shipping which is a lot for a prize figure, but reasonable if he's anywhere near Figuarts quality.

Please remember that Russian Ruble used to be 30/1 USD in 2013 and now it's 65/1 USD (it was 80/1 last year, yikes!), so your difference is really not THAT high… Be happy about that.

Dont start me on price changing. After the brexit a Nendoroid went from £25 to £32. And literally everything is now being caught up in customs. Its getting more and more expensive to buy anything now. I'm kinda glad I've majorly cut back on figures down to one or two a month

I ordered the same thing with different colour just now.
I think this is a really awesome figure (for its price) but I don't have much experience with them so I can't be entirely sure.

Oh yes, that was probably the only downside to this figure.
It's very visible for both sides even from some distance.

Ok guys, so i'm getting back into OP and figures. The downfall of POP put me off for a while, but now i'm looking to start again with a new smaller scale display.

I've already mentioned my Figuarts Zeros and the SCultures Gear 4 Luffy.

I'm looking at SCultures and IK figures now and wondering if anyone would recommend any and if they scale well with Figuarts Zero?

I'm waiting for my Luffy to arrive before I can really comment on the quality. Does he look to be the best quality figure of the line so far?

Ichiban Kuji figure size varies a LOT. There were bigger models (bigger than POPs), there were styling-sized figures. It depends on what exact figures you're looking at.

Thanks Al!na. I'm not overly fussed on the character. I'm more interested in the scale as I really hate figures that don't scale with each other displayed together. Ideally i'm looking for post timeskip and a good quality finish.

Like the scultures Bartolomeo, Kidd and Law for example, but I need to have an idea of scale.

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I last posted here. I'll make up for it by writing a review! I used my Samsung Galaxy S6 to take pictures, and the lighting, as always, is natural sunlight.

Today's review is of POP CB-EX MILD Brook!

To be honest, I got him last August, but I only opened him now. Better late than never!

I'll start off with his box. It's a really nice box! It's small, doesn't have excess space, and is definitely worth keeping! I love the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes that are everywhere. It really shows that Brook's a musician, and loves music.

This is his default pose. He clearly loves music, even as a child, and he's getting ready to wow the crowd with his violin skills! His head is on a ball joint, and his arms can move around. He's painted well, and I love the sculpt.

His base is black and orange (the colors of Halloween!), says "Straw Hat Pirates," has the Straw Hat Pirates' Jolly Roger, and his name is spelled "Brook." It also has only one uncolored peg. I'm actually surprised that the base didn't have the Rumbar Pirates' name and Jolly Roger. Brook did become captain of them, and Ace and Sabo had their own Jolly Rogers on their bases. I wonder why they didn't do that for Brook? Brook comes with a set of alternate arms, and an alternate head with an expression that isn't sunshine and rainbows.

Interestingly, you have to remove Brook's afro to switch heads. Ironic, considering that Brook doesn't want his afro touched.

Brook's alternate arms allow him to hold his violin and point with his bow. He could be pointing out someone who he wants to play music to.

With the alternate face, it looks like he's ready to attack someone:

I wouldn't want to mess with him!

All in all, Brook is a really nice figure, especially if you like violins. If you're a fan of Brook, pick him up!

I'm not a huge fan of the CB line, but I like what you've done! Personally I like live in the moment with my figures, so I love them to represent current character developments/ story lines. Right now i'm all about Sanji and the new Luffy 4th Gear. I really want to see Megahouse do a dynamic 1/8 scale POP, but it's more likely Tsume will beat them to it!!

I got the Straw Hats in CB form since it was the only affordable line with almost all of them back in 2011. I knew Brook would appear eventually. It was only a matter of time.

Dynamic POP's would really revitalize the line, I think.

Though I wouldn't mind a Marine Rosinante/Rocinante. I saw Law's flashback in the anime recently, and I love him even more! :wub:

Ok, so after not buying any new OP merch for over a year, I finally got Gear 4 Luffy after 3 months of procrastinating.Looks like i'm only the second person to post a picture in this thread after Venomous (http://www.arlongpark.net/showthread.php?t=43153&p=3613792&viewfull=1#post3613792) which is crazy as having recieved it, my assumptions were correct! This has to be the best Luffy figure of all time, bar perhaps the Ichiban Kuji WB War one.

I haven't taken it home yet, but I can not wait to display it with Zoro and Sanji Figuarts. The scale looks pretty good. I think this figure has kick started my interest in OP again!!Can anyone tell me if this Barto scales with Figuarts Zero, or if it is bigger/smaller? If it's a good fit, it may be my second SCultures!

So did anyone get the "Bari Bari no Pistol" Bartolomeo SCultures?? I ordered it for 1,500 yen off Manda at the weekend and it shipped today!! I don't like the black stand, so will try and use a figuarts act.4 stage. Also, I know if might be big, but going to try and use the Gura Gura No mi effect from POP Teach as a barrier on his hand.Seems a lot of people are still on a break from collecting OP stuff, but i'm coming out of hibernation now.

The fourth gear Luffy is really nice. I just got one too. It's on par with Scultures Nightmare Luffy and Scultures Strong World Luffy. The next Luffy figures I want are the new CreatorxCreator (paired with Boa) and the Figuarts Zero One Piece Gold one which looks better than its Scultures version.

The detail is pretty impressive, but there's something about the finish. It's like the King of Artist figures, it's too textured. I prefer my figure to have a smoother finish.Anyway, My Barto finally arrived!! Feast your eyes!! I really love him!

I'd love to see my old collection again….They've been in storage for 4 years. Since then I've only got Whitebeard from the crappy Ps4 game. It really makes my jaw drop to see how many P.O.P. figure exist now since we used to get 3 a year at max and now it's like 3 a month. I might have to start collecting again sometime in the future. At least the 2 years later figures ( or any).

Yeah, that was around 2009 when I first started taking an interest in the line. I think we got the first NEO-DX that year, (Mihawk and Aokiji) which started coming with accessories and alternate arms for posing. Then they showed the first unpainted prototypes of Crocodile and Hancock!! Those were exciting times!!Was a roller coaster for almost 5 years, everyone on the hype train, but I think with the completion of the Sailing Again Straw hats (Franky came out 2013), things started to slow down. They skipped Punk Hazard and dove straight into Dressrosa, before coming to a screeching halt. Since then we've seen mostly fan service figures (hence my title for this thread).I'd like to see them get back on track again, but to be quite honest I can't think of any characters from Zou or Totland that i'd like a figure of….........Last missed opportunities for me were Vergo, Monet and Baby-5. Great character designs!! I guess we'll probably get a new Jinbe soon though!

My first POP is Neo 04 - Shanks. Actually it's my second POP after POP SD Zoro (the one as my avatar). At that time I didn't know how to import directly from Japan so ended up buying whatever left in the local stores a few weeks later. I got POP Neo Zoro and Bon-chan.
Soon the Strong World hype led me to buy POP SW Zoro and Robin online.The attraction of POP figures has led me into this figure collecting hobby and then I became a local re-seller too. I bought few POP like White beard, the Admirals, Kuma, Garp, and other Neo DX POP, kept them in the box, ran out of space to display, and ended up selling them. A few POP that I really like I would kept like Neo DX Marco. Comparing the Neo DX and Neo series, I like the Neo series better. They have this classic beauty in the character design that the Neo DX and especially the Sailing Again series POP can't match.
So I hunted and imported Neo Luffy, Usopp (re-release), Robin (repaint) and Sanji. Unfortunately Neo Nami was so expensive (around 10,000 JPY at Mandarake) so I stopped collecting Neo series SHP crews, having only Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp and Robin. It was a half-hearted pursuit.
The charm of POP figures just didn't work for me starting from Sailing Again series. I switched to Banpresto with their Grandline series. Grandline series brought me to Scultures line that I like it very much. Random characters with random scales and impressive dynamic pose worked for me since I don't need to be completionist, only buy the ones I like. So far I have 23 Scultures One Piece figures and I rated all of them above 7 out of 10.

I don't know how can POP bounce back and be charming again but looking at their BB and SOC series, I don't see they can in near future. So for now it's Scultures line for me.

A couple of months ago, a member of the Heart Pirates fanclub on Oro Jackson shared a link to buy these adorable mini-figurines of some of the most popular One Piece male characters. Mine finally arrived in the male today! Hooray! These are my first ever One Piece collectibles, so I'm really excited about them!

They can be figurines for decoration, or they can also be clipped onto cups as a cute decoration. Basically, six smokin' hot One Piece dudes in swimsuits.

Oh, and if anyone's interested: They're sold in packs of 8, but since there were only six character choices available, I have an extra Sanji and an extra Law that I'm probably gonna sell, so let me know if you're interested!
