Just got back from a 2 week excursion to Japan. The One Piece merch was insane there. Honestly I think it's just that we just don't see it over here because it's oversaturated with Law, Luffy, Zoro and Sabo (there is a lot of those but everyone seems to get a lot of stuff). I'll do a full haul later. Expect tons of Robin

Hey guys!
Tomorrow im heading to Japan for the first time ever!!
The first week i will be staying in Tokyo and later in october i will be going to Kyoto.
Do you guys have good recomendations for one piece or other jump series merchandise boutiques?
I dont know if im gonna shop loads of merch but i might like a few wcf figure or some other cute little things like that.

I just came back from Japan! Akihabara is decent but quite expensive. If you are in Shinjuku then go to Wald 9. There is a cinema (which had a One Piece Stampede pop up cafe and a One Piece + Girls Und Panzer store in the cinema shop itself when I went) and the department store (0101) had a really good store with pre-owned figures. I got both variants of the new Robin glitter and glam for less than 1500 each.

One Piece Tower has tons of OP merch. But careful as a lot of their stuff is blindboxes and the figures were more than elsewhere. Great exclusives and they have a Halloween event on currently I believe. Make sure you go in the tower and do the stamp rally as you can exchange the stamps for an exclusive badge (I picked Robin) keep in mind OP tower is popular so some chars their merch was sold out. A lot of the Robin stuff was on backorder

Nakano Broadway was good for more prize figures and the manga. And an Animate store is nice for new badges/keyrings etc.

Just keep in mind for WCF how much a full set is and seperate. I looked all over for Hina from the Reverie set and passed up the 6000 yen complete set a few times. When I found her seperate she was around 2500 yen. So I ended up not getting her at all. You can find the common ones like the Luffy and Zoros cheap. But the rarer ones in the sets are harder to get. Didn't see a seperate Chopper stampede at all but Zoro was everywhere

I'm also visiting Japan soon so thanks from me too for the advice!
Our hotel is 10 minutes from Akihabara so i'll probably be there several times when i have the time. Nakano Broadway and One Piece Tower are on our list as well of course.

Do you know a good shop that sells P.O.P. figures?

Didn't see many P.O.Ps. The wald9 shop in Shinjuku had a few of the shelf fillers (Kid, Killer etc) from a few years and some Z ones but the crew and recent year stuff was hard to come by.

Speaking of. Finally got Hina. Dream Figure. She's got me back onto the P.O.P bandwagon by being the best thing in years from the series. I want Carrot now.

The Sabo V.57 I can live without, a new Ivankov would have been better.

I'm a little upset that Belo Betty doesn't have her sunglasses though, I don't remember her ever taking them off– just tilting them down from time to time.

I haven't pulled the trigger on Chopper yet, but now seeing Nami i'm so tempted. Looking forward to seeing LuffyTaro painted next month, and if we get a Zoro proto i'm officially all in on the Wano mugi's!

Loving Kunoichi Nami!! Not sure if I can afford to buy her but it's so tempting! She's fantastic and I really love the Wano country designs.

Edit: I JUST SAW ALL-SUNDAY ROBIN. She will be mine. I've really missed seeing a high quality Robin figure from both Megahouse and Banpresto. Can't wait to see her in color omggggggg.

Wano Volume 1 (pretty much what I expected)

Luffy, Zoro, Tama, Nami, Chopper, Komainu

IMO the ones posted a while back in the magazine are way better versions of Luffy, Zoro, Nami (in particular), and Chopper

Apparently, Volume 2 will be Law, Bepo, Robin, Usopp, Franky, and O-Kiku (top of the next photo)

Also the next treasure rally is the mini-merry, a reprint of Strong World Luffy and Robin, and a new Stampede Gear Four and a final form (spoiler version) of Bullet both punching each other like the Whole Cake Luffy and Katakuri

Which IMO is disappointing, I was really hoping for a good Robin – particularly the ORobi introduction panel.

EDIT: On further inspection it would appear that all three Robin Franky AND Usopp are making that awful Enel face.

I mean, it's kind of funny, but instead of good a good Wano crew set, we're getting joke shots.

I'd be down for those if there were separate and we got traditional versions as well.

The source was correct. Personally, I'm disappointed. The only ones I am interested in are Bepo and Kiku.

Although, Kiku really should have been ponytail sword in hand Kiku.

Eh. I'd like Normal Robin but if I ever see this I'll pick it up. I can't imagine they'll be that popular.

On the plus side when I went to MCM they had Hina from the Reverie line (as well as the rest) for same price as the rest so picked up my first WCF in about 3 years XD

They come from China. I use chinese sites like Taobao to purchase. A lot of google translate is used.

New figures have to generally be preordered. This secures that you will get one since there are generally only 200 made of each.

Prices range from 12-20 for the preorder and 20-40 for the second payment.

Essentially total 35-70 depending on the size of the figure with shipping.

A double set generally costs 60 if you get in there early but could go for double if trying to order without the preorder.

Bellamy I preordered and basically spent about 35 to 40 for him.

I just bought a Brulee and Chiffon set which hasn't arrived yet but pretty sure I spent around 65/70.

The older figures made by the studios are considered rare and people on Yahoo japan and ebay typically will charge 2 to 3 times the amount of original price.

I love them though. Very well made, and size accuracy is something I'm OCD about. Like I never bought the Saul WCF because it was not Mega

If there are any you see in particular that you want help finding let me know and I'll try to help.

After seeing they were doing Raizo, I asked about Kanjuro and the developer sent me these tests they made. They said they might scrap them because they're unsure how many people will actually buy Kanjuro. They only make 200. They have to hit that quota. Kanjuro would likely be close to 40 USD by himself and probably 80 with a MEGA drawing. For scale, that would be at least a 3 or 3.5 inch Kanjuro there.
