And this is the problem. I am more than willing to pay money for stuff that I'd actually want to buy. And have done in the past. Sadly this seems to be a thing amongst other companies. I mean I'm more than willing to buy stuff for Prison School, Keijo, Full Metal Panic, Konosuba and a bunch of anime. But they get little more than keyrings or if they do get figures they're really really expensive. Not buying those in turn makes companies think there's no market for them and so don't bother with the middle range products like Nendoroids or Prize figures which in turns has people feeling there's nothing to buy.

One Piece is the same for me right now. I'm willing to buy anything Robin/Chopper that may be put out. But don't wanna put that out? Then sure I'll not support the other characters in hope that they'll do the ones I do want.

Looks like this 4th Gear will be my last megahouse figure, i can't afford these FOC sadly.

I just don't get it… Why keep perverting One Piece characters ? Isnt there enought echi and hentai material to make this kind of figure ?

They probably sell more than the regular line did tbh. Its also collectors mentality of 'oh well I own Nami and Robin and another so I might as well get Khalifa'

My issue is that there are series like Keijo or Konosuba or Prison School which could benefit more of these figures which kind of….aren't getting the figures

Haha indeed ! I'm not into that kind of figures but i must admit a set of Prison School girls made by megahouse would look very nice and apropriated, i loved this anime ^^

Gear 4th Luffy does looks awesome but it probably will be very expensive, not really anything I want. I've yet to buy a BB fig but some have peaked my interest, the first Nami would be the one if I ever have the money in the future.

Will G4 preorders be in May? I don't import POPs since when TheGrandLineShop closed, mostly due to rising prices and the risk of getting duty taxes, but I'd really want to get G4. Which one do you think is the best site to import it to Europe?

Yeah, Nippon Yasan are still good to purchase from. I've bought loads of figures from them over the passed few years and i'm in the UK.

F.O.C. Studio have announced the man himself to go with their current Doflamingo Family line. I might just end up having to get all of these!

I'm trying to be strict, but never before has 1 studio been so consistent with their customs. It's also a nice touch that they try to keep these in POP style so they display well together. As much as I am disappointed with Megahouse's recent efforts, i'd be happy to just display this alongside Gear 4 Luffy.

Only Buffalo and Dellinger proto's left to show now, along with the Doffy they just put the graphic out for. They may consider Jora, Lao G, Senior Pink & Machvise if the demand is there!

I still can't wait to see Baby-5 and Vergo painted!! Most likely will pre-order Pica next month once I receive Diamante and Trebol and verify the final quality!

I think they had the intention of doing the full line up, but had more success with their recent Doflamingo and Boa Hancock sitting on their thrones. They also have a new Kuma coming.

I think Trebol is perfect in everything, Megahouse should buy the prototype because they can't do it better.
Doflamingo on the throne is astonishing, truly amazing. What a shame Megahouse went full 'tard, they ruined such a great line.

Yeah, the prices are a bit of a pain point. To top it off, i'm also backfilling my POP collection and the day after I paid 10k yen for Killer, one went up on Manda for 7.5k! I was soo pissed, but nothing I could do sadly :( Atleast someone got a good deal!

I'm sad I missed the MASTER Vergo as well, but I won't pay the after market prices. These customs are the sort you need to get at pre-order or you get screwed. Kinda like the old POP days so maybe that's why they excite me. I also see what you mean about the Terraformar similarities, it's the muscles! lol.

Yeah, the Trebol prototype was actually what got me interested in the line. In hindsight I should have skipped Diamante, but I might regret not having a full set of executives if I don't.

I will probably end up getting Pica and Vergo…....and i'd really like Baby-5 for the design alone. Gladius, Dellinger and Buffalo I could pass. Especially if there's no Jora, Lao G, Senior Pink or Machvise coming. I'll also skip the Marine Vice Admirals.

I'd rather see a timeskip Buggy and Weevil. Along with Kaido and more of the Worst Gen like Basil or Bege.

Wonder how the finished product turned out to be… has been looking around for pictures but could not find any yet. the pose look really awesome. however, the lack of details of his cape kinda turn me off with the premium price I am expecting to buy. if only the cape has the same details as the one from Model Palace....

Ahahah, you know everything is lost when you're not even surprised anymore. I remember the good old days with bets on who would become a POP aiming to 8 new figures and the EXCITEMENT of seeing the new images the day after.

I received the CXC Kimono Nami that came out recently and it is quite nice. A little smaller then I'd hoped but the paint and sculpt is very nice. Only con is it takes a lot of space due to the pose and her dress being laid out on the ground. Mine also reeks of a oily plastic smell which is much worse then the norm. I'll have to let her air out lol. I'll post pics if anyone is interested.

So i've gone a bit crazy recently. On-top of getting Sugar, Kid, Killer & Sabo for my personal collection, my daughter and I started reading the One Piece digitally colored manga and watching the anime dub.

As a result she is now a huge fan, and i've set her up a pre-timeskip display in her bedroom. We are now at the Skypiea arc (one of my personal favorites) so after all these years i've finally bought NEO-DX Eneru!!

Problem I have now, is how to complete her pre-timeskip strawhat display. so far we have:

NEO-DX Luffy Jump Festa Ver.
NEO-DX Chopper
NEO SKypiea Nami

and then

NEO Bon Clay

So I really need a Zoro, Usopp & Sanji.

What would you recommend for them? Zoro has his Skipea NEO, or the new NEO-DX

Usopp has the original with Chopper, or Sogeking

and Sanji….........well Sanji only has the NEO

The two of us have been weighing it up for the past week, but we finally came to a decision today.

The main problem being that I can't find a NEO-DX Zoro 10th Limited Ver. anywhere for under 9,000 yen, which is a pain since looking at MFC it hit the bargain bin several times after it's release.

On the other hand I just found the following on Manda/Jungle:

NEO-3 Zoro - 3,000 yen
NEO-4 Sanji - 2,800 yen
NEO-5 Sogeking - 2,700 yen

So I bought all 3 for the price of 1 of the new Zoro's!

Done!! Should make for a nice display, i'll be sure to display a photo of her shelf after they arrive!

And now on top of all of this I gave in to temptation and bought the last NEO-DX Ace Encore Edition from NY for 7,500 yen!!

Haha, indeed I am!! Took a break from POP and collected SH Figuarts for 2 years. Now I'm back on the POP train! Smuggling them home is all part of the fun!

I've pretty much stopped collecting One Piece, or more like I've been forced out of collecting it. Robin and Chopper merch is now once in a blue moon as opposed to every month and the over reliance on the liks of Zoro, Sanji, Luffy, Nami, Ace, Sabo, Law who are all characters I rarely, if ever buy for doesn't help. Even tried buying the V.A.H line but that seems to have died off now, or at least I never saw Brook

Couple this with me enjoying other series like Konosuba, Prison School, Re:Zero, AssassinAtion Classroom and a lot of the Nintendo nendoroids means I'm being more picky than ever with One Piece merch as opposed to getting chars from other series.

If Megahouse want to pull their fingers out and give us Reiju,Bege, Kinemon, Carrot, Buggy, Magellan, Hina, Chopper points and some of the other chars we should have had 10 years ago I'm more than willing to pay up. but for now. Nope

The market has died pretty much, there used to be a constant stream of everything One Piece whether it be gashaphon/trading figs to Figuarts Zero to POPs. Now there is next to nothing aside from the Banpresto prize figures. i also stopped for money reasons just can't afford to buy POP level of figures anymore.

I don't think this is just an isolated case for One Piece. There's a general lack of diversity in the manga/anime figure market. There's been an influx of Bishonen/Bishojo/Fujoshi in the last few years. Shows like Free!, Haikyu!!, Kuroko No Basket haven't helped.

Not to single out those fans, and I know it's not anything new, but every time I visit amiami, hobbysearch, etc. all I see are generic statues of effeminate looking boys, magical girls and overly exaggerated women. The only series to keep some dignity is Nendoroid whose target demographic is predominately young girls.

Just as an example of how bad it's got, most of the announcements on Aladdin's POP The Collection blogspot get no comments, unless they are BB or similar at which point you get:

- Do you think if we pull off the rest of the robe ourself we can see a lot more ? XD
- i wish there was photos without it before pre-order
- Yes me too because if we can see her nipples and a part of her butt, i buy it immediately !!

I guess that's just the way it is at the moment. We know sex sells and it seems the capitalists have seen the potential and exploited the market turning what was once a dignified hobby into something quite embarrassing.

Anyway, i'm pleased that not everyone has given up on One Piece. I know the resins are high price pieces, but obviously these guys have seen that there is still a market for regular character adaptions without the 'sex' spin:

After a few years off, I dipped my toe back in and picked up a few bits but found the community here had mostly gone and without that and the intense nature of ordering, I didn't enjoy it like I once did. (Apparently staying up till 4am refreshing Play-Asia non stop to try and get the very limited stock was actually fun!)

Actually moving to New Zealand in the summer so have been selling off my few remaining items recently. Surprisingly unattached to most of them, think I'm keeping two small WCF's

I seem to be the only one crazy enough to still post here on a regular basis.

I did quiet down for a while, but luffy gear 4 and these FOC studios figures got me back on the hype train! I really hope Megahouse revive that Lao G sculpt for a Limited release!!

Manga is also getting super dope again now. Dressrosa was long and predictable, but I honestly have no idea what's going to go down at big mom's tea party!!!
