Favourite Anime characters

There is a similar thread but it's for One Piece characters only. I did a search and could not find a general one so here I am. This is my first non query/introduction thread too. Yay me.
I decided to make this as well because I've realised that my favourite characters tend to have a type. Or two types. The brash male underdog and the shy male underdog. Yet funnily enough I prefer the opposite in female characters or at least I'm not keen on the shy ones. Of course there are exceptions.
Well on with the show.

Some of my favorites (alphabetical order, only one per series):

Alpha Hatsuseno: I'd like to visit her café and sip coffee while listening to her playing the guitar in the afternoon sunlight.
Bright Noa: The most reliable guy in all of Universal Century.
Daisuke Jigen: I love how he's a mix of film noir and spaghetti western tropes. Plus, he feels like the most consistent Lupin character.
Hisoka: A really fun, stylish and unpredictable villain.
Dr. Ichirou Irabu: Amusing and creepy.
Joe Yabuki: Initially I hated him, but at some point I grew really attached to him. Love his character developement and determination.
Kino: The ultimate escapist character.
Ladd Russo: I love his unpredictability in the novels and anime - he can put you on his hitlist or give you a friendly hug depending on what first impression you give. Fantastic voice acting in the anime dub too, courtesy of Bryan Massey who actually looks like a live action Ladd.
Lain Iwakura: I'm not sure why honestly.
Misato Katsuragi: She was instantly the most likeable character in Evangelion, don't deny it.
Shin Kazama: Has my favorite seiyuu (Kaneto Shiozawa) AND voice actor (Chris Patton).
Thorkell: A fun-loving goofball who just happens to really, really love fighting.
Wamuu: The most sympathetic Pillar Man by far - is there even room for debate? He has my favorite battle in Battle Tendency (the horse race) and possibly my favorite death in ALL of JoJo (dat salute especially).
