! We might actually get Joshu vs Tooru. He's trying to save Yasuho and has the fruit. And that rock insect is cool. It'll probably be a disappointment but it could be interesting to see it animated if done right. And we seem like we're come up on a confrontation with the user and a confrontation with the stand (since the doctor is in fact Tooru's stand as confirmed in this chapter) at the same time, which is cool. And it seemed last chapter that Tooru may not have been able to control the doctor while doing his own things but that seems to not be the case in this chapter. And it makes sense that it wouldn't be the case since the doctor is his stand and we've seen the user and stand operate separately in other parts.

! Liked how confident/cocky Josuke was in this chapter. Mamezuku is also one of my favourite characters of this part so it was nice to see him with Josuke to finally face the "doctor" stand.

Well, it is not often I think "wtf am I reading?", but I think Araki got there. The first half of the chapter I could only wonder what kind of person comes up with stuff like that.
Also baby-on-bug porn might have been just invented, so not all is good here.
Regarding the fight itself, I really can't follow this Dodadadadedidododrio action, two chapters and I think I still have understood what is that thing that forms from the ground (is it actually being formed from nothing? Is it things that were around being stacked together by the bug? I don't think I can even understand its shape properly).

Is like a non human opponent who doesn’t actually uses its limbs to neither move or attack is a mess to do in sequential art. The ice cream stick thing just attacked and only showed momentum when it did a swinging attack.

A little something fun, last week or so The Henry Stickmin Collection was released on Steam. If you're not familiar with the series, it's basically a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type game where you choose different solutions, the right ones progress the story, the wrong ones tend to be hilarious.
The reason I bring it up here, is that there are at least three Jojo references I know of.
The first is the end screen for a route where you can see the Stone Mask among the loot Henry stole.
The second is a dance-off that briefly shows 3 characters doing the Torture Dance. (
)The highlight, though, is a route featuring a full-on Stand Battle, complete with different names in the Japanese audio vs the subtitles:

Ok that was cute and all, but if i'm not mistaken this is still taking place in 2011 and Yasuho is 19.
For her to be a "young child" as stated in the chapter, i assume she must have been 10 yo max, so we're talking turning of the century. This is confirmed by the fact that the "head doctor" was 79 at the time, and now he's 89 (a small detail some may have missed). So 2001.I was around back then. I'm a couple years older then her. I may not recall perfectly every detail about that time, but i'm pretty sure that smartphones with access to the Internet wasn't something even japanese children were supposed to have.
Come on Araki, you're better than that.

oh. wow. didn't even bother to check, since i remember that at the time around here being the coolest kid with the raddest phone basically meant you had Snake on it. Guess Japan is a whole other level.

Probably just an oversight but at the same time the original universe had crazy cybernetic tech in the 1930s so I don't think it's that much of a stretch that even the SBR universe may also have been a bit ahead with some things than our universe. What I find even funnier is that Josuke's sister, Kei's, name has had the wrong furigana for 23 volumes so that it was Kyo.
Edit: I think there being a comprehensive database of nursing home patients in 2001 is more of a stretch than her having that kind of phone back then.
