The snailrific rainbow… that was the summit of the arakism. Araki will live forever knowing he will never be as Araki as he was at that time.
Seriously, whenever I remember how absolutely nonsensical it was, I spend a whole minute laughing out loud (like, I just did it now) and I like to think that was the same reaction Araki had as he draw those chapters.
Damn, I am getting excited for a Stone Ocean anime already.
Catching up on the anime. I liked how they had Giorno in the classic Dio pose in the opening.
Never known Jojo more than very little, but I have discovered there is a character with a Stand named Spice Girl. THAT may get me to watch.

I'm a little surprised that it was never once acknowledged that Giorno's half-vampire. Though it does give a nice handwave for how he can truck through some of the damage he takes. Love the unspoken irony of Dio's son having basically a Stand version of the Ripple (at least to start out with), though.
is it me or is dio mentioned in every damn part?
I really don't think vampire blood works that way though.
Dio is mentioned in every part because of the thematic "fate" and "Destiny " that was only broken out after part 6.
Granted there's dio-nosaur in part 7 but he felt more like Araki just did it on a whim.
Well Giorno has no interest in knowing about his biological father. And Koichi left and Jotaro lost interest. I don't think Polanffe knows he's Dio's kid. He probably would have freaked out a bit. But now he's a pet turtle…

One of the reasons that make me question why Giorno is considered Dio's son instead of Jonathan's.
I mean, from the neck down it's Jonathan's body including, you know, the little Giornos and Ungaros swimming around. Only reason I could see for Dio to be seen as the biological father is if some vampirism was passed down, but it wasn't. The Joestar connection is there, though (not to mention it makes the 6 first JoJo into 3 perfect pairs of father+child)
Does the same thing apply to Dio's other babies?

100+ years of Dio head on Jonathan body had to have done something to his baby batter
someone like Jonathan producing fucked up weirdos like Ungalo and Rykiel naturally just doesn't make sense
Vampirism isn't genetical, it appears. Makes kinda sense in universe also since Vampires are just humans who acupunctured their brains at some point. Or maybe, since we saw the left side of Jonathan's body vampirising slower then the right, maybe giorno came out of his left ball, the human-er one.
Vampirism being genetic has always seemed strange to me in the few cases I've thought about it at all. In a lot of vampire stories (Jojo too) just biting someone doesn't even turn them into a vampire, it's a more involved process. I legitimately never thought about Giorno being a vampire or half vampire until I think the anime started and some people started mentioning it.
If he can turn Vanilla Ice into a vampire via blood sucking…

But Vanilla was willing. Maybe the willingness to throw his humanity away is the key to become a vampire with out the stone mask.

Also Giorno is Dio and Jonanthan’s love child, no one can prove the contrary.

Vanilla Ice was turned into a vampire because Dio gave him his own blood after he decapitated himself. That's usually how fiction does vampire turning because having everyone a vampire kills become a vampire would spiral out of control really quickly. Making zombies is another matter though and that might be something a vampire in Jojo can do just through blood sucking. Though it's a voluntary thing since Dio didn't become a zombie after having his blood sucked in part 1.

The vampire died before completing the process, that’s why Dio didn’t turn in part 1. Sucking someone’s blood as a vampire can work into turning them into a zombie, presuming the vampire injects their vampiric essence into the victim and the process is completed. Such was the case with that police officer that Dio killed.

And that's exactly what I meant. He turned Vanilla into a vampire by giving him his blood, so it having a genetical factor would not be too far (if the blood can carry the vampire factor, why not the sperm? Specially when vampirism is actually a "brain activation" so it's something that should be equally impossible to pass around through any of those).
i don't know why it took me a while to realize that a 15 year old is a now a mafia boss
i don't know why it took me a while to realize that a 15 year old is a now a mafia boss
what's more, part 5 takes place over the course of about a week, two weeks tops
Giorno dismantles and takes over the mafia in about 2 weeks, kills basically all its enforcers, several capos, etc
in the same amount of time it takes a normal person to get their paycheck

I guess he passed on natural stand abilities more than anything? Weren't all of Dio's sons naturally born stand users? I guess that was the genetic trait(and for Giorno, some physical traits) that moved over.
Don't forget that narancia died thinking giorno and mista were gay lovers.

To be honest Bruno carried and did most of the foundation and work for him.
He got really lucky with good genes and all his gambles paid off.
Dude was riding off his luck and Bruno's leadership almost the entire story.
A half-Japanese/half-English (without a single drop of Italian in his body meaning that he shouldn't even have been allowed to join) 15 year-old not only conquered all of Italy's organized crime in the span of two weeks, he also convinces all the long time gangsters that he's always been in charge of Passione despite being less than half Diavolo's age.
Baby mobster . GER has weird powers.

I like to imagine that Giorno convinced everyone by just saying "I'm the boss." repeatedly until they gave up.
No one is allowed to question why the Don still attends high school without getting taken out by Mista

Quite easy to kill all the major enforcers when all of them are coming to kill you.I like to imagine that Giorno convinced everyone by just saying "I'm the boss." repeatedly until they gave up.

Didn't purple haze distortion(although non-canon), explain how Giorno sold himself?

he basically did what Cyan D. Funk and I described
he just claimed to be the boss, that he was always the boss, and either shut people up or they just rolled with it
Well besides maybe Polpo and Periculo I doubt anyone has ever faced the boss, or Doppio delivering a message from the boss, so there's no way to disprove the claim, the original boss may have been substituted but there's no one that can confirm or deny that. So you either roll with it or sleep with the fishes. And as far as people know, Giorno's father would be his step dad, that is italian, only SWF did discovered that he was the half japonese-half english son of Dio and those guys are loaded with oil money.
I mean if I were an Italian high ranking mob I would probably think that someone else is behind this kid pulling the strings
But anytime someone else tries to find out more they end up missing or going batshit crazy so ill stay in my lane and kiss his hands.

Well we know Pericolo has never met the boss (he said so himself). Polpo had to have obtained the Stand creating arrow somehow, so I suppose it’s possible that Doppio delivered it to him personally due to the sensitivity of the matter. Diavolo probably wouldn’t have trusted anyone else. That’s probably the closest Polpo had ever come to meeting the Boss, though.
New chapter is out. Kind of short and more of a setup than anything else, though we get more info on Akefu's stand. Also DP are releasing 2 more Rohan OVAs in a few months.

Bean sure looks likes Araki's new favorite gore target. And more Rohan is always good.
the reveal of tree lambo really got me laughing
Rai is just a treasure
A Lamborghini stuck in a tree is a hell of a base.
This chapter advanced pretty much nothing and it was an amazing reading. Wouldn't mind 30 extra pages of it.

shoutouts to all the people Rai has in his pocket that just accept this as a thing he does

Definitely made my day And this movie looks pretty good. Twisted, but good.

Gappy is dead. Long Live Joshu our new MC.
And the head doctor really is 89 years old.
Why do I have a feeling that Tooru's Stand is another Red Hot Chili Peppers?
the real final battle will be Tooru in the All Women Are Queens corner and Joshu in the If She Breathes, She's a Thot corner
the winner is Josuke because he truly Respects Women
I love Rai WTH face when he couldn't figured out what Josuke was trying to do.
Tooru creeps me out. It will be the biggest red herring if he wasn't a stand user. It's kinda weird that Yasuho barely remember anything about their relationship while he insist their relationship is a lot deeper.
We finally see the Head doctor's face after so long.
Looks like Part 5 is coming to Toonami at the end of the month!

Can't stop loving how hilariously op the head doctor's stand is.
