He's the brother of the future pirate king, how can Burgess be more important than him in the long run? Just because of his affiliation with BB?
I personally find final villains to be more important than supporting protagonists, but that's down to your own personal tastes.
There are 9 other captains that are probably stronger than Burgess.
There's pretty much nothing to base this on.
Even if we assumed that the level 6rs are all stronger than the original BB's (which is still quite an assumption) then we still have Burgess weighed up against guys like Lafitte and Doc Q.
Please don't make blanket statements that fall apart at the first bit of scrutiny.
The chief of staff of the revolutionary army I would think would be a really big deal in the long run too as they accomplish what they set out to eos.
I'm not denying Sabo is important, I just think he isn't as important as Burgess.
Again though, subjective.
You're beginning to sound like Darth who got butthurt that Sabo held his own against his favourite character, Fujitora.
Darth's favorite character wasn't Fujitora, it was Sakazuki.
If you're going to take cheap shots at someone who isn't here to defend himself (really brave behavior btw), at least get your facts straight.

@Nex:
But is it really a gasp save when Sabo was called a few chapters back and told that Luffy would need help. Even then, Koala calls him in this chapter. We knew he was coming just as much as we knew Burgess was. I mean, I guess to really young kids it could be a surprise, but I'm assuming that everyone was smart enough to not be blindsided by this, which is why I take some issue with you labeling it as a gasp save. I look at it more as the resolution of a plot point that we knew was coming.
I'm not disputing that Sabo turning up makes sense.
I'm talking purely in terms of the dynamics of this chapter.
Sabo wasn't seen until the last few panels when he suddenly made a physical appearance to save Luffy.
@Nex:
Also, I don't think you should be worried about Burgess. He's obviously not going to lose here. He's also not going to win. Much like with the tournament, they'll either be interrupted or he'll run away.
I'm more annoyed at his character seemingly gaining no real traction in this arc, while Sabo has, often at Burgess' expense.
I'm not worried about him in the long term, per say.
@Nex:
Let's not forget, Burgess is trapped in this Birdcage as well.
Indeed he is.
