This is the first episode in a long time that's had sakuga consistently all the way through.
Still going at a half chapter pace. This week covered last page of 756 and the first half of 757. Next week should be the second half of 757. Law's back-story begins July, maybe on the same week or a week after Dragon Ball Super begins.
This episode had some amazing art and animation, but too bad they wasted its potential on REALLY slow plot progression. Not really sure if episodes are worth looking forward to if they are going to move at this pace. Back in the day, even with slow pace, they'd sprinkle in the occasional amaze-balls episode. The only good one I can vividly recall in the last couple of years was Law vs. Vergo finale.
Regardless. Still had one of my favorite bad-ass Robin moments, so was happy with that.

Each episode covers 12 pages so it's the same as usual.
Just saw the episode! Oh man, despite the slow pacing, they did a pretty damn good job with the art and animation of Sabo vs Fuji, along with doing a decent job with one of Robin's badass moments of the arc! 
I really wanted this episode to be good, and it was so close to being amazing. The sum of a number of small things brought it down, mainly scenes that were dragged down just a tad too much.
Somehow the Rebecca scene was actually quite good until Diamante stood(?) up. At least Sabo's "I don't discriminate" line was still there.
How many episodes this arc have unnecessarily ended on closeups of Luffy's face? It feels like way too many since he left the Colosseum.
I'm impressed. The animation was pretty good for about 75% of the episode. Although so much was wasted on Rebecca staring at flowers…
So out of sheer boredom and the fact that you guys say that only half chapter is being covered per episode, i calculated that we should see
! Luffy go into fourth gear in December if there are no breaks from now until then, which is a bummer considering how long that will be, i want it to be in the anime when i see him do it
I loved this episode a lot, it looked so good. I wish it wasnt wasted on this content though
The preview for next week looks amazing too! Rebecca running through the forest and kyros fighting diamante looks great
Oh man, this took FOREVER to get going. If I remember right, it was like 6 1/2 minutes to show the title or whatever… and I think 10ish before all the flashbacks/exposition were done and there was any action.
The Sabo/Fujitora clash was good even though it was all just one impact, lol. Then it just went back to one scene involving luffy running up stairs.
So... the whole episode was... Rebecca sees Diamante, Sabo+Fujitora impact once, and Luffy runs up stairs.
That was it, lol.

Maaan this episode is easily demo quality in the art & animation department with some very strong directorial frourishes. There is also an unsual amount of attention to detail in this, such as the glow around Sabo & Fujitora during their fight and those great touches added to Bartolomeo. Barto's filler scenes in this one are downright mental (and that's what I love about them). Strangely, Diamante is the worst looking aspect in the whole episode.
Sadly, the pacing is still 12 pages per episodes (out of a total of 18 per chapter) again taking into account double spreads. It's not too noticeable up until Barto takes those bomb blasts, then the episode slowly wraps up for three whole minutes laboriously eating up the required time. The whole episode has bits like this. Since these pages were high on action, this episode struggled to fill it's required episode length.
However, the superior technical quality of the episode makes it much easier to swallow and enjoy for what it is.
696 looks like it has a similarly high standard, but this episode will be tough to beat.
The filler scenes for Bartolomeo continues to prove he's the real hero of this arc.
3/4 of the episode were amazing. Last part wasn't too bad either.
It's a pity to waste good animation and art on content like this, but I'll take what I can.
On a side note, Bartolomeo needs to see a therapist. Soon. His filler is so downright dumb I couldn't help but laugh XDDD

There's no way they will stick with a half chapter pacing, I think Toei are just preparing for the flashback episodes which will probably be 1 chapter to 1 episode minimum. There isn't much room for filler content within the flashback episodes so the episodes before have to suffer. The pace is always going to adjust so that it isn't less than 30 chapters behind the manga. So long as Oda keeps taking breaks your prediction is probably right.
Well, at least Sabo vs Fujitora looked cool. And I'm always OK with more Bartolomeo fantasies.

back in like April, and i was also told that all of the executives were knocked out already as well
This arc has made me miss 1 chapter pacing, never thought I'd see the day!
I agree that 1 chapter pacing will likely return someday. However at this point I think Toei has settled into a new safe zone of covering 12 pages per episode, at least since the past 3 months. Only time will tell when they ever feel confident enough to change it.
Since One Piece doesn't do fillers I think the bad animation we see from fillers is reflected in how they try to extend episodes with scenes that weren't in the manga because they aren't sourcing their input from Oda's work in these scenes. So right now we can say the anime is on filler mode. But hot damn Rebecca's boobs are so in your face, and she looked really good this episode (how they drew her face, not her boobs).
Sabo v Fujitora was crazy, Sabo retaliating with so much firepower yikes.
I'll just wait till a remastered, retelling version of this happens before I watch it. One Pace is pretty good though.

! I don't think there's no room for filler content. There's a 6 month road trip we saw maybe 5% of and a montage which covered 2 years that I can see Toei having a QUALITY field day with.
