So "Buggy's coat" was really the 7th Shichibukai, huh? You can even see his 'stache there. And it turns out he is a tuned up version of Mr. 4.
To be honest, I am glad we got a really strong guy who looks so bad, I missed this. But that aside I am not feeling this guy.
(EDIT: So Weeble actually talks like a kid and is more like he is being missguided by his mom? I like that, it makes his duo less like Mr.4/Miss Merry Christmas. This alone is making me like them more.
I wonder where the OP community would be without Aohige)Other than that, loved everything about this chapter. The part in the Luffy Senpai Go was just perfect, we are finally going to find out what the minks are and Zou looks amazing (I'm glad it is actually "elephant themed" because that name always made me think of it and was confusing), the adventure feeling is back and I couldn't be happier for that.
The only think that makes me worried is that could it be we'll always have one of the 7 Commanders around? I like them and Bartolomeo got even better in these late chapters, but I hope this doesn't mean we'll never be "just the crew" anymore - although maybe those 7 are supposed to be seen as "part of the crew… kinda".

Though I think it's been only said jokingly, the sea doesn't weaken you if it's only ankle/knee deep and it certainly doesn't nullify devil fruit powers (see Luffy drowning at Arlong Park for example).

i was thinking the same thing….if this is a full grown man with developmental issues...don't know how i feel with oda using that for the plot and having him being taken advantaged of by his mother and the wg.

Well two things:
1. I'm pretty sure Oda is trying to parallel a Babidi and Buu relationship. But that one gets more of a "pass" because Buu was simply Babidi's creation and you know he wasn't his MOTHER.
2. I'm sure that Oda is going to portray Weevil as the victim here, and I'm sure that his mother will get what's coming to her when the time is right.
So I'm ok with this honestly.

I was the one who came up with Zou being Mink Man island. I figured it being a word for zoo just meant a punch of animal people lived there and naturally if Bepo is a Mink Man he would have connections for the rest of the Heart pirates to hide out at. And while I figured the island must be alive and moving due to Sheeps Head comment, I just assumed the island was a whale swimming.
About Thriller Bark, there are some similarities I suppose. It's just what ever was sticking out of the water at TB seemed to rise like a snake with eyes at their ends. If we later find that an elephant of the same family was in the Florian Triangle I expect Oda to explain those glowing eyes. I suppose the mist/fog from Zou could easily be explained by the elephant constantly spraying water everywhere having it evaporate over its skin and just basically causing the affects of most any huge water fall.

Alright, since it's pretty obvious that the girl we saw on Zou a while back is a minkmen that leaves only one question.
Is she a child or an adult, and if the latter will Sanji show his usual interest?

Pretty sure that was Buggy, during his time on Gol Rogers crew. There's a split second frame of Rogers smile reflected in the glasses and there's no timestamp on when his arm got cut. Buggy is now a Shichibukai. He also uses cutting implements. That's my theory.

Oda is brilliant!I doubt it. How did an elephant that size get from the first part of the grand line to the New World? Only two routes are the Red Line itself or the Fishman Island route. Zou is always been in the New World….

That clearly wasn't canon. If this guy became an Shichibukai during the time skip and around the same time "Z" was still part of the Marines, we'd have heard some mention of him, plus a guy like that woulda been at Marineford when the war with WB went down.
At least with Shiki, he was a canon character, and Sengoku mentioned him….

I dunno why but i half expected this guy would be a swordsman or something......glad that wasn't the case.....
Also, there is something very familiar looking about his mother too....but i can't put my finger on why.....She is Lolas Mom. Same Hair, Same Lips, Same style of clothing more or less and the character trades. Lola wanted to take out Nami because she was in Love with Absalom. The crazy love theme.
I am sold at least. She is Lolas Mom and maybe Lola was used by her the same way thats why she kind of crazy. Weevil might not even be her "real" son. His head looks like it was stiched togehter. Maybe he had some traumatic thing happen and when he woke up she started to use him.
The will surely appear on Zou. Like Jack i hope.

Shanks is a 1 armed man, doesn't look special and yet he is of the 4 Emperor's alongside huge monsters like Whitebeard ( and now BB ), Kaido and Big Mom….

paradise is the way the first half of the grand line is called (by the ones who taste the new world)..and no,it can't be the same thing because the elephant,big as it may be,can't pass through the red line,nor go under it
