I kickstarted it.
I was pretty pissed that the media was given a full version a week before backers to play to completion and allowed to stream up to 15 hours of the first Act - Normally I have no issue with media getting early access but this is a unique situation whereby people who backed the game were forced to wait for a release date when there was a finished copy available to play.
However I have been yelled at for having the opinion that both backers and media could have played the game at the same time and there would have been zero detriment to anyone.
So while I am personally pissed off at Obsidian for falling into the industry standard and putting the media above backers I will admit the game is pretty solid I haven't invested much time in the game - managed to get to the town with the tree … (you'll know it) I love the writing and the way some of the game is voiced and some is text only. I'm very rusty in the playstyle of the game but I am sure it will all come back to me in time - it's old school enough that I can easily get into trouble by not paying attention. I definitely feel that the game would be completely different if it had been publisher backed and dumbed down a lot I'm sure.
