Chapter 778: Tactics No.5
-
-
Okay, Zoro was pretty cool this chapter.
Also some good teamwork took play between him and other characters.Overall it was a good chapter.
Can't wait for the color spread and possible Luffy vs Bellamy next chapter.
-
Noouu it's gonna be;
Bellamy vs his own wounds
Law vs Trébol
Luffy vs DoffyI'm betting on wounds to beat up Bellamy, Wounds almost defeated Zoro when he fought Hatchi.
-
Thanks for the link - gotta read this one.
-
Excellent off to read. High hopes.
-
Great chapter. The final fights is up next and the pace should be even quicker.
-
Man, I normally can't stand Zoro chapters…
...but that was awesome.
-
Hmm, Zoro sure says a lot of random-ass crap for those attacks, lol. And repeats one part twice.
Nine mountains and eight seas…? I doubt there are only nine mountains in one piece, and eight seas didn't seem right either...
He already spends enough time with move names... I dunno about all that crap lol -
Epic chapter! Finally, this fight was too long, it started nearly 40 chapters ago!
-
That was amazing. Pro tactics.
-
That chapter was freaking awesome and the best part wasn't even zoro's cutting, it was the ADMIRAL KILLER BOWLING!!!
-
This chapter is all about the art and the double spreads. Last week I asked for 2-3, Oda gave me five.
And while the King Punch was totally cock-blocked and used to clean up the mess, Killer Bowling was cool too, and no one thought of that possibility.
This is exactly what everyone expected, all about the "how" and not the "what", and I'm happy about the "how".
-
So what was Law's shocking past revealed?
It was in the title page but I didn't see anything or did I miss it?
-
This is why Zoro is one of my favorite characters.
I like how he use nicely thought out strategies.
He isn't as dumb as you'd think.
@Cymelion:So what was Law's shocking past revealed?

It's just mangapanda being mangapanda.
-

Mangapanda has been adding that randomly to chapters for some reason.
Ignore it.
-
Also anyone know the translation for the move?
thanks in advance -
And just like that, ZORO OWNED IN THIS CHAPTER!!!
Despite how short and rushed it kinda was, I really freaking enjoyed this chapter!! :D
-
I liked the chapter even if it contains a lot of Zoro.
-
I've just realised that the best part about these fights are the bystander reactions and not the fights themselves.
-

Nine mountains and eight seas…? I doubt there are only nine mountains in one piece, and eight seas didn't seem right either...
He already spends enough time with move names... I dunno about all that crap lolIt's a concept in Nichiren Buddhism. According to Nichiren Buddhism, the world we live in is centered around a mountain, surrounded by 7 mountains and 8 seas, and the whole thing is surrounded by another mountain range, making it 9 mountains and 8 seas in total.
Within the seas are 4 continents. All of this make up one world. 1000 of these make up one minor thousand world. 1000 minor thousands make up a intermediate thousand world. 1000 intermediate thousands make up a big thousand world.
Hence, a big thousand (daisen) is made up of 3000 worlds (sort of…more like 1000 to the power of 3). -
the best character score
-
OOooh. A poneglyph, interesting.
-
binary search FTW
-
This chapter was awesome for the art alone. Oda definitely had a field day drawing giant Pica.
Really nice to see Three Thousand Worlds again, and Admiral Killer Bowling was just great.
I've just realised that the best part about these fights are the bystander reactions and not the fights themselves.
Always the part I'm looking forward to more than anything else when Oda does fights in front of crowds/bystanders. Usopp/Barto's reactions had me giggling.
-
… The art was good.
Though the fact that the answer to the problem was once again "Cut it more" is somewhat disappointing.
Meh... I refuse to speak about the chapter futher, I will get frustrated again. Zoro's part was passable. The fight itself was somewhat disappointing, though as I said, the art was good. And King Riku pisses me off, but that's nothing news worthy.
Also, we just killed thousands of innocent civilians by pushing the entire rubble from Pica over the city. Yay!
-
in this chapter we understand something fundamental Pica > Vergo as a result: Zoro>>>>>>> Sanji .
end of story
-
Thankfully this proves an end to the annoying next nakama discussion about Kyros joining the crew. Kyros will be king of Dressrosa and we get yet another King/princess ally combo by the end of this arc.
Although everyone keeps saying that the fights are becoming a little easy for the straw hats as compared to the other fights they have been in, I just remembered Law's conversation with Dofla talking about how comfortable the big guys have become while sitting at the top etc. perhaps that was somehow mentioned to inform that the crews aren't as intimidating as they were long back.

(Kidding)
Okay, so it ties into something else that doesn't make sense, lol. Appreciate the explanation, though. (The 3000 worlds bit was a little more reasonable) -
Great chapter. Now we can move on to (almost) the main event, just Bellamy & Trebol left…
It was great seeing Zoro use Sanzen Sekai again after all these years....i'd like to think that'll be the move he uses to beat Mihawk with (or some powered up version)
-
This chapter would have been better, if I gave a dam about Pica. Zoro kind of killed Pica threat level off 22 chapters ago.
-
Expected Orlumbus to shape Zoro like a ball, same way he did to some fodder not long ago. Guess that would ruin Zoro's awesome moment, and you're such a sucker for him Oda.
-
Wow once DD is killed or knocked out we have both Big Mom and Kaido to deal with immediately
-
Great chapter, great art. I like most that Zoro is still unharmed. Whos next?
-
While the setup for this moment to happen (everyone chilling at the plateau instead of helping, Fujitoras impeccable timing) is extremely lame, Picas defeat was neat and memorable.
I only wish we could've been without the "U can't cut my haki armor!" "yeah I can because my haki level is above yours!" resolution. Fuck that noise, please stop going down that road Oda
-

Maybe Burgess could pose a real threat ;)
-
I was expecting Zorocopter but okay.
-
that black box on top of jinbe, its a fish right? maybe jinbe will use the fish to move the poneglyph n take it to robin?
-
I did like the "Stop being stubborn and annoying" bit… Pika's been a thorn in Zoro's side quite a while now. Playing whack-a-mole with someone who loses track of his surroundings as much as Zoro is worse for him than him taking actual hits, lol
-
So the entire country will just sit tight till dofla/trebol is defeated? Kinda weird. Somebody do a buster call already just for the lulz
-

sorry I have a question where Sanji ? enjoy the chapter and do not cry

Pica is in some way behaving like Zoro pre time skip ("stop being stubborn"). This way Oda shows us Zoros evolution (having a very good plan which worked out of the box).

We all love the artificial power levels based on willpower, what are you talking about :ninja:
-
this is zoro's chapter!!!
-
I'll give this thread 2-3 more "zoro is great" pages until "there is a haki level" conversation that will last for some days. That will show how good this chapter was.
-
@Buggy:

Its a Whale Shark to be exactly.
Most of the characters have some symbol to put as a point in a exclamation mark in those cover stories. -
Zoro gave Dressrosa a show, Usopp couldn't believe his eyes. That's the way to be the world strongest swordsman.
-
By Pica and Zoro's logic, Belamy's haki is stronger than Luffy's :ninja. Pretty nice chapter this week.
-
Don't worry, scouters will soon appear that tell their haki level.
It will be measured in Cavendishes -

This reads like invoking an ancient demon
To talk about something else: While its still just "Jinbe looking at stuff", at least the cover story now has a chance to pick up. Unless it ends next week, of course
