@Verus:
Okay, second row, first panel on the left.

Do you see the art accompanying the comment? No matter how I look at it, this seems to imply that the ruins we see in it are being pushed towards the center. It is by no means an insignificant amount of rubble. This is why I founded it to be plot convenience.
My bad. Didn't pay too much attention to it. And the Mangapanda translation didn't help.
But Mangastream did spell everything out and people have already tried to explain how it's happening. The reasoning seemed within bounds of manga logic.
And again, I don't really see how it affects the plot in the least.
@Verus:
Hmm? Oh, you misunderstood. The cage already has stupidly generous time limit, if it can be furthemore stopped, it will just evaporate any tension what so ever. And Zoro doing it, even if he has help, just would serve to annoy me further.
Heh, though there is one way this scene could play out that I would enjoy… if only because of personal bias.
You have a personal hatred towards Zoro. Nothing I can do about it.
@Verus:
Yes. It was first usage of the power, and it was instantenous. This is what establishing shot is.
Sigh I sometimes feel like like the benefit of doubt in case of One Piece means "Let's justify everything retroactively".
You know, 90% of your problems will vanish if you stop extrapolating so much.
She healed a few bruises and a shocked girl. That's it. Law had his arm sawed off. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of damage he took otherwise along with using his own life force.
It's like saying Fujitora can clash galaxies together. After all he easily brought down a meteor. That is established.
Or Wapol can eat the whole Earth. We did saw him eating stuff bigger than himself. No problem in devouring the whole Earth, or large mountains at least.
Or Buggy can split into nano particles, go inside someone's body and be able to cure cancer. After all, Mihawk did slice him into thin slices and we haven't got any actual limit to his powers.
@Verus:
Why Doflamingo, though?
You know, if some massive changes actually start to happen because of him falling, it would be even more confusing. Sakazuki goes on massive power-build up, and does nothing. Yonkou are all gathering strenght, and do nothing. Blackbeard becomes a Yonkou, and hunts some undisclosed devil fruit users, who die off-screen. Supernovas enter skirmishes with Yonkou, and do nothing.
It really does not seem like Doflamingo falling is a thing that should break this stalemate. Who is he, when compared to Whitebeard and Sengoku? It honestly feels as a setup for another plot convenience; important things can't happen while Straw Hats are away, therefore nothing will happen. But we need some justification for it… so it will turn up that Doffy is the most influential pirate on the entire planet, with his defeat being of more consequence than Yonkou falling down.
Meh. I will wait till I see what Oda has planned, but I don't really like what has been presented thus far.
The world did change when Whitebeard died. A lot. It's just the old guys who did nothing but prepare. Because the new generation had little to do with the incident.
As you said, Sakazuki is just building up power. Also, Kaido is building up power. Doflamingo was building up power. And so on.
In the meanwhile, Kidd was attacking Yonko ships. Luffy is targeting two yonkos and bout to take out a Shichibukai.
The rest of the rookies must have done something too to justify being called the Worst Generation.
When Whitebeard died, people started preparing for the "New Age", but never took any action. It has been pointed out in universe how the old timers have been sitting on their asses preparing, while the New Generation started taking action.
I don't think Doflamingo in itself is more important than Whitebeard, but his fall is beginning of a chain of events. Fall of Shichibuaki, Fall of a Yonko, etc are the things which would actually change the world. Doflamingo's fall is just the trigger.
@Verus:
But wasn't it already? He uses haki to harden his body, therefore increasing it's elasticity.
The same problem again. Reading too much into little things. Doflamingo is trying to discern how Luffy's new gear is working. But he is not mind reader.
For all we know, he's dead wrong about everything.
Unless Luffy or Oda explain it, or some other, more trusted character(like Rayleigh during timeskip), I'm gonna wait.
@Verus:
It is vulcanisation, but with magic and will, instead of logic.
And? More than half of the series is magic and will. It's one of reasons I like it. I don't see your point at all.
@Verus:
How convenient that CoA, ability said to create invisible armor around the user, posesses a variant that is all but specificaly tailored to Luffy's Devil Fruit powers. That was specificaly invented during timeskip, and never hinted at existing beforehand.
Just imagine if the magical powers of will were unavailable, he would come up with something clever instead. Alas, no worries, Haki is here.
You mean just like how CoA itself was never hinted at before it was introduced? Or how Robin was not hinted at before we saw her?
I understand that CoA is getting too many uses. But I don't really have any particular problem with it considering it boils down to just two types:
Hardening your body
Making an invisible armor around the body
@Verus:
Neither did he named G2 Soru.
The principal is similar enough for me to be slightly bothered by it
G2 is not Soru. Period.
And even then, I don't see anything wrong with Luffy learning more from his opponents. Didn't you ask for something clever out of Luffy in the last line?
There you go. He uses his rubber powers to inflate and uses spring action to increase force, thus effectively gaining the ability to use geppo, despite not being an expert kick fighter like Sanji, or training for his life like CP9. That's pretty darn clever coming from someone who has used Mizu Luffy.
It clashes a little with Sanji, but he has much less maneuverability compared to Sanji. And he uses it for an entirely different kind of battle(zig zag punches).
And it's not like Sanji's fire attacks are not used by Luffy, Franky, Sabo, Kinemon, etc.
Having similar powers is not that bad, especially if the details of powers are different enough.
