All that jumping seemed unnecessary.
I really hate how they've been stalling for time by incorporating flashbacks with unnecessary movement. I'd rather them do anything else. That's really irritating.

The man of the hour has arrived.
I thought this was a pretty good episode. I liked the short ASL flashback since it kinda gave some added oomph to the moment.
Bartolomeo stole every scene he was in. The sudden awestruck reaction when he realized Sogeking and God Usopp were one and the same was too good.
Koala is cute and adorable. Nuff said.
Next week, I guess we'll get an extended fight scene.

Lol so it looks like Toei can no longer string out the "blonde mystery man" teasing of Sabo's face. To add insult to injury, the reveal in the reveal in the anime certainly did not live up to the exacerbated hyping, especially with all the odd choices for flashback clips–the scene with the 3 cups was all that should have really been necessary.
Definitely not as technically compared to the last 2 weeks, but it had its highlights. The Kyros fighting sequences looked quite good, though mostly in terms of art & direction. Animation was very meh throughout though sequences such as Diamante doing a few flag transformations looked good enough.
The pacing is notably weaker in this one. Quite a bit of padding here, especially during the first half. The Barto/Sogeking scene was classic, though.
Next week looks like it has some above average animation & art. Here's hoping.

I really hate that SFX now. Was just silly at first, but it annoys me more and more each time they use it, which seems to be every other episode now. Agree that it really lessens each scene it happens it. Kind of a sound I'd more associate with Gumby's body than Doffy.

Haha, yeah. even funnier than it appears to be a desert eagle with a modern grenade launcher packed in with a bunch comparatively antique flintlocks.
Very lazy episode. There was poor artwork, inconsistent shots, and shoddy animation. As you guys noticed, the modern weapons mixed in that crate was just weird.
I rather like Koala's VA though.

As for preview I am afraid they made Mingo stop Luffy with his string trap and added to what Oda did in manga. With adding to crucial fights they should be more careful.
In manga it looked like Doflamingo didnt went for using immobilizing move he used on Sanji and Jozu also on Luffy. So I wondered how it will be solved in final fight and if Luffy has any way to set himself free from string trap. If they will show in next weeks anime Luffy being trapped and overpowering strings or getting free some other way it would be like anime is interfering with manga and that would be awful thing for me. I wont probably watch next episode at all or maybe after Dressrosa ends I will try..

perhaps you're seeing something I'm not seeing but it didn't look anything like what you were describing. The preview just shows Doflamingo playing around with his strings, there's no indication that Luffy is being restrained somehow.

Yea I remember it but still it looks like Doflamingo struggles with it a bit seeing his fingers so it might be that its not same scene(though you calmed me down a bit with reminding me that page 
). Though even on preview it looks like they prolonged scene with gattling same way they did with Sanji spectre move before. Oh well you people will have to write me next week if Mongo immobilized Luffy or not

This episode was kinda meh to me so there is not much for me to say.

I've felt the same with another character and Brook (that I can't yet mention in this thread), but Barto definitely has the serious/spazz switch that Sanji has, only his is attuned to any Straw Hat as opposed to any good-looking female.
He was excellent this episode with Robin and Usopp. For others I enjoyed Kyros taking out Buffalo and facing Baby5 for the action and animation (despite the nagging that those kinds of scenes are getting more attention that, say, more major characters in the animation/art department). Also, Doffy's laugh was extra creepy at end, even when you know it's coming. He's got such a villain laugh.
Barto meeting Robin and Sogeking was fun, but the best part was Doflamingo's laugh at the end.

I didn't realize this until my second viewing, but the camera was zoomed in so you couldn't see the severed parts of "Doffy's" neck. I guess given the recent ISIS events, some minor censorship was done.
Episode was pretty good. It looks like the plot was moving along a little bit and there weren't any obvious prolonged scenes just to fill up the episode. I was hyped for this episode to see the Robin & Revolutionary Army reunion and the introduction of Hack. I also enjoyed the continuation of the palace fight, the weird interruption of Pica's head and the inevitable mention of "birdcage" lol. It looks like things will be getting even more interesting now. Next week is a Luffy vs Doflamingo showdown, looks exciting.

I'm still hoping for a new one but considering we usually get an advanced notice (at least a couple weeks in advance) for a new opening, I don't think it's happening anytime soon.

The last shot of the preview, the one with Doffy moving his strings, looks awesome.
I chose that scene pretty much because it actually had character expressions animated, which is rare in one piece
I wonder if they'll ever get consistent with the whole "water is bad for DF users" thing. I noticed in this episode, that when Sabo landed in a tiny puddle of water, he noticed an effect from the whole energy drain thing, but it just seems so off. He's wearing shoes, how did it affect him when it didn't come into direct contact? Yet in the Alabasta episodes I re-watched recently, there's a point where Luffy is in water up to his chest and doesn't seem to be affected too badly yet, even though touching the sea-prism stone cage nearly drops him. All through the series they just can't seem to keep consistent with how much water it takes to have a negative effect on someone.
