            1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

The dialogue, the pain, the jokes, the development of people over years of their lives, the self-referencing, the depression, the melding of various genres into one show or episode or even scene, the underlying levity, the Body.

I used to think that no other show could ever dethrone this one for me because it was such a perfect storm. Then along came

            1. HBO's Looking

This one came close. Maybe it could have taken the number one spot had it run for a 3rd season. I have fallen in love with the characters and with San Francisco. And it's ridiculous how much I can identify with the main character. I've been feeling all those feelings, Patrick!

            1. Friends

It's just funny. And it will stay funny. The amount of jokes that are dated is pretty small, I'd say. The main characters in a show about a group of friends actually behave like human beings and are friendly towards each other. That's surprisingly rare these days.

            1. Sirens (UK)

It's only six episodes long but each one is amazing. A hilarious show with surprising depth and British accents.

            1. Six Feet Under

This one gets you down. No. It kicks you down the stairs, throws dirt in your face and then proceeds to tell you how meaningless your life is. What can I say? I'm a fan of the pain (see the #1 spot). And then it also has the dark humor to go along with it. Maybe not enough sometimes for stretches of time but it's there. Additionally, this show has my favourite ending scene(s) ever.

How original is it to still have this in my signature 6 years later?

I don't watch much live action stuff at all, so I've got trash taste in it. Ones I've watched and enjoyed:

                Arrested Development
                Wonder Showzen (half counts)
                Delocated
                The Eric Andre Show

This is about my taste in live action:

                3DS FC: 0662-3589-2887

                NNID: Gibbs-free

The live action Casshern movie is no doubt one of my absolute favorites. From the art direction to the music, with incredible colors that define each scene differently and in very "paintematic" ways, and the musical score of Shiro Sagisu that lends a great atmosphere with tracks like

                    .

The story is also very great, with some philosophical aspects to it that i won't spoil for how deep they manage to go. The action scenes are a bit weird at times, since they are very over the top in some moments like in the anime, while in others they are very dirty gritty with a couple of battles that you wouldn't expect from a japanese story.

All around i end up rewatching it periodically, maybe just because of how much eye pleasing it is, or for how beautiful some scenes are directed. It's also 12 years old now, but it still holds up very well, hopefully it will continue to do so.

Season 2 of UnREAL has started and it is without a doubt my favourite show on the air right now. Or this year. Once again, it's the darkness and the f*cked up yet realistic characters that make me love it.
